WHERE...East Entrance U. S. Waters Strait Of Juan De Fuca and Northern Inland Waters Including The San Juan Islands.
WHEN...From 5 AM to 5 PM PDT Friday.
IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

It is going to be very, very wet on Friday and early Saturday, and I suspect some daily precipitation records will be broken.
But let me give you the details.
Let's start by showing you the latest accumulated precipitation totals forecast by the European Center model for the period ending 5 PM Sunday. Virtually all of the mountainous areas of the region will get more than 2 inches, with some being hit by 5 or more (particularly the Olympics and North Cascades).
Good - we can certainly use the rain. Build up the snowpack for next summer as well as a base for this year's skiing.
