From Breitbart:
Exclusive–California Refused 5.6K Requests to Turn over Criminal Illegal Aliens to Federal Officials
In an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight, Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) Executive Director Dale Wilcox revealed that within a 27-month period, the state of California had failed to honor about 5,600 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers which are the holds ICE agents file to local jails and police to request that an illegal alien be turned over to them for arrest and deportation.
Of these 5,600 failed ICE detainers, more than 3,400 were lodged against an illegal alien who had been classified “level 1” and “level 2” offenders — meaning that these illegal aliens had been charged with crimes like homicide, kidnapping, sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault, drugs, and fraud.
“The bottom line is, sanctuary cities are neither humane or compassionate,” Wilcox told Breitbart News Tonight. “They’re dangerous policies that cost Americans lives … what will it take for these anti-borders politicians to wake up and put the safety and security of their citizens, their legal residents before the interests of criminal aliens.”
Rapidly becoming a 3rd world shithole. The rich don't care - they are above it all. The poor don't care - they get all sorts of free stuff from the democrats. The people in the middle are moving out in droves.
UPDATE: Moving out in droves - from San Francisco station KRON:
Bay Area residents ditching high cost of living and moving away
Whether it's traffic, the lack of affordable housing, high taxes or all of the above, a growing number of Bay Area home owners are cashing in and moving out.
They are trying to escape the high cost living here says Windemere Silicon Valley President Myron Von Raesfeld.
“That quality of life that was once prevalent here in the Bay Area for everybody has slowly over time has passed up the lower and middle class people and pushed them out,” Von Raesfeld.
Von Raesfeld has found a niche, advising people who are moving on. He recently helped the owners of a 40-year old bungalow in Santa Clara relocate to Texas where they bought this brand new home about 40 miles outside of Austin.
KRON4’s Rob Fladeboe spoke with Michelle and Michael Rakow via skype. “We wound up selling out and taking the money and paying off the house and buying something elsewhere the cost of living is much less expensive.”
A new study by redfin shows about 24-percent of online searches in the Bay Area are looking for a home out of state.
And the U Haul index bears this out - from a few minutes ago:
It costs 2.3 times more as the demand for trucks in San Francisco is that much higher. U Haul spends a lot of money running the trucks back to SF.
