But of course - Twitter's new CEO

Has a history of nasty Tweets - from The National Pulse:

Twitter’s New CEO Parag Agrawal Has Disturbing Anti-American, Anti-White Tweet History
With Twitter founder Jack Dorsey stepping down as CEO, it was announced that Parag Agrawal – the company’s current Chief Technology Officer – will take over the leadership role.

Agrawal, concerningly, is a vocal opponent of free speech and the First Amendment, and has sent tweets about all white people being racist:

If they are not gonna make a distinction between muslims and extremists, then why should I distinguish between white people and racists.
— Parag Agrawal (@paraga) October 26, 2010

The Indian-born migrant has used his tenure as Twitter’s tech chief to lead research on how best to silence voices across the platform under the myth of “fake news” and dismiss the ideals America was founded upon, often quoting his favorite leftist celebrities.

In a November 2020 interview, Agrawal said the following, as reported by multiple sources online:

Former CTO and new Twitter CEO Agrawal in November 2020 interview: “Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment… focus[ing] less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.”

The proles will always support Twitter and Facebook - they drink their Victory Gin and watch their telescreens rapt with attention. The rest of us?  We have better things to do with our time.  We produce.  We create. We live lives of love, excitement and beauty.

Both Cuomos are looking for work. From Breitbart:

CNN Suspends Chris Cuomo Indefinitely After Learning of ‘Greater Level of Involvement’ in Andrew Cuomo’s Defense
CNN suspended Chris Cuomo indefinitely after recently released text messages showed Cuomo used his media sources to dig up information on his brother, former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s, sexual harassment accusers.

CNN said in a statement that the recently unveiled documents “shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense.”

“The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense,” a CNN spokesperson said. “The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions.”

Yeah - blood is thicker than water but there are limits to what is ethical.

Of course, like any liberal, he will lay low for six months and then get placed in some other cushy job with a pay raise and probably a nice fat book deal too. That would put it right around June 1st - anyone want to bet me $50? Figure a four week leeway either way.

Dave Chappelle weighed in when it happened (from August 30,2019)

From the London Daily Mail:

PIERS MORGAN: Flip-Flop Fauci's partisan political point-scoring shows he's more interested in promoting himself than saving lives – he should park his gigantic ego, stay off TV and shut up
I've never heard Dr Anthony Fauci's cell phone voicemail greeting, but I imagine it says: 'Yes, I'll come on your show.'

For someone whose day job is supposed to be leading America's scientific and medical war against Covid-19, he seems to have an incredible amount of spare time for self-promotional media interviews.

Barely a week seems to go by without him popping up on TV or in newspapers and magazines, and as time has gone on, Fauci's become more and more brazenly political in those interviews since the Biden administration took over.

Yesterday, he was everywhere again, speaking about the new Omicron variant.

What he said in these new interviews should give every American serious for concern, not just about the latest Covid threat but about some of the outrageously partisan statements the country's top doctor made.

Just go and read.  Piers is a treasure and he is in fine form with this post.  A long article but worth reading.  Over 1,000 comments.

About that vax - schadenfreude

From TMZ/Sports:

TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 ... Will Miss Several Games
TMZ Sports has learned ... LeBron James tested positive for COVID-19 this afternoon using a lateral flow test. James was given a follow-up PCR test to confirm the diagnosis. However, that test came back negative. LeBron was then given a third tie-breaker test ... which came back positive.

We're told the team has chartered a private jet so Bron can fly back to Los Angeles in a safe manner.

We're also told James is currently asymptomatic. LeBron is fully vaccinated.

But it works and everyone needs to get it.  Fifty bucks says that LBJ got a saline shot instead of the vax - would not be a good optic if he collapsed during a game.

Schadenfreude?  A German word - a good one to know these days:

Schadenfreude is pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others. This word is taken from German and literally means "harm-joy". It is the feeling of joy or pleasure when one sees another fail or suffer misfortune. It is also borrowed by some other languages. An English term of similar meaning (but with no noun equivalent) is "to gloat"; which means to feel, or express, great, often malicious, pleasure, or self-satisfaction, at one's own success, or at another's failure.

Nothing like doxxing the members of the jury. Bloomberg does this:

Ghislaine Maxwell’s Fate in Hands of Home Health Aide, City Worker Jurors
Ghislaine Maxwell once inhabited an exclusive world of Upper East Side townhouses and private Caribbean islands, but her fate will be decided by a jury that includes a home health aide and four public-sector workers.

After a slight delay Monday morning, a jury of six men and six women was seated for the British socialite’s trial on charges that she trafficked underage girls for sexual abuse by her former boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein. They range in age from 28 to 70 and mostly said they don’t follow the news closely. Many prospective jurors who said they had closely followed the case involving Epstein, who committed suicide in 2019 while awaiting his own trial for sex-trafficking charges, were previously excused from serving on the panel.

And the jurors:

    • A woman, 61, working as a trader’s assistant for an unidentified bank after previously working at ING. She lives in the Bronx with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren and said she watches a lot of “police shows” like “Law & Order.”
    • A woman, 28, living in the Bronx and doing clerical work for the City of New York while she finishes her master’s degree in public administration. She said she’d heard of Epstein before but not Maxwell.
    • A woman, 60, with a master’s in urban affairs who prepares contracts for the government. The Manhattan resident said she doesn’t read newspapers but follows online news feeds.

And the other nine get the similar treatment.  They do not name names or addresses - got to maintain a measure of plausible deniability. Still, it would be a shame if anything happened to their families of their decision was not favorable to poor Ms. Maxwell.

Do not forget - this is not about Maxwell or Epstein.  This is not about the underage women victims.

This is only about protecting Epstein's customers. Clinton, Prince Andrew?  Tip of the iceberg.

Of course not - *Resident Biden

The Waukesha massacre does not fit the nominative agenda.
From Breitbart:

Joe Biden Heads to Minnesota for ‘Infrastructure’ Push, but No Plans to Visit Victims of Waukesha Massacre
President Joe Biden has not visited grieving families in Waukesha, Wisconsin, but he will travel to Minnesota on Tuesday afternoon to promote infrastructure.

The White House told reporters on Monday that Biden had no plans to visit Waukesha, Wisconsin, even after six people were killed in the Christmas parade attack and over 60 people were injured.

“Obviously, any President going to visit a community requires a lot of assets, requires taking their resources, and it’s not something that I have a trip previewed at this plan- point in time,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters during the daily briefing.

Assets?  They could make a phone call and have the assets on site in two hours.  This is about deep-sixing the brutal terrorist attack by a racist black career criminal. Does not fit the narrative.

as they keep it in D. C. - from MSN/Washington Post:

New opioids, more powerful than fentanyl, are discovered in D.C. amid deadly wave of overdoses
Forensic analysts have identified a new and highly potent family of synthetic opioids in the District’s illicit drug supply, a worrisome discovery in a city already struggling with a wave of fatal overdoses that shows no signs of abating.

The opioids, found on used syringes examined by scientists at the D.C. Department of Forensic Sciences in September and October, are called protonitazene and isotonitazene, respectively. Experts estimate that each is at least several times more powerful than fentanyl, the synthetic opioid that has displaced heroin in many parts of the United States and is now responsible for the majority of the country’s drug overdoses, including those in the nation’s capital.

The identification of the “nitazenes” in D.C., first reported by WTOP, comes as the District is reckoning with an opioid crisis that has never been worse. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data released this month show that the District saw an estimated 498 fatal overdoses over 12 months during the coronavirus pandemic — an extraordinary figure that eclipses the city’s notably high homicide toll and is larger than the number of drug deaths in 13 states.

Let them kill each other off - no great loss to society. They commit crimes to raise the money to feed their habit so win/win.

A heartwarming story - Ivermectin

From Mary Beth Pfeiffer:

A Judge Stands up to a Hospital: "Step Aside" and Give a Dying Man Ivermectin
Sun Ng, a retired contractor from Hong Kong, traveled to Illinois to celebrate his only granddaughter’s first birthday. He got covid and was near death in a Chicago-area hospital. All other options were exhausted, but the hospital refused to give Mr. Ng a generic, FDA-approved drug with an extraordinary safety record that a doctor believed could safe his life.

Finally, a judge asked the right question about ivermectin.

“What’s the downside?”

And the upshot?

The hospital ultimately stepped aside. Dr. Alan Bain, an internist, administered a five-day course of 24 milligrams of ivermectin, from November 8 through November 12.

Ng, who with his wife, Ying, had come from Hong Kong to celebrate their granddaughter’s birthday, was able to breathe without a ventilator within five days—he, in fact, removed the endotracheal himself. He left the ICU Tuesday, November 16, and, although confused and weak, was breathing Sunday without supplemental oxygen on a regular hospital floor.

“Every day after ivermectin, there was accelerated and stable improvement,” said Dr. Bain, who administered the drug in two previous court cases after hospitals refused. “Three times we’ve shown something,” he told me. “There’s a signal of benefit for ventilator patients.”

Much more at the site.  Yeah - it does that.  I have some and take it prophylactically every month and also after potential exposure (if I am around someone with a bad cough). No Wuhan flu, no cold, no flu, no illness of any kind for a year and a half and I go out and am exposed to a lot of people every day.  Cheap and effective.  Doesn't make any money for Pfizer or Moderna so they are pushing against its use.

From Ann Barnhardt:

I’ll say it: “Omicron” doesn’t exist. “Omicron” is the cover story for the poisoning deaths from the coerced injections, AND an excuse for Big Pharma to declare that everyone must start over and be injected with another brand-new poison
If you can’t see this OBVIOUS ploy, then… I don’t know what to tell you. This is so obvious that it is laughable.

“Omicron” has EXACTLY the same symptoms as the Poison DeathJabs, but ODDLY, no symptoms of a CoronaVirus cold – just heart damage, clotting, immune system destruction, miscarriages, etc. So, the more deaths and injuries there are from the DeathJabs, the more it feeds the “Omicron” fictional cover story, and the more there will be howling for an ENTIRELY NEW CYCLE OF DEATHJABS. The cover story not only “protects” the murderers, it makes every death they cause FEED AN INCREASE OF THEIR POWER.

THERE IS NO “OMICRON”.

Simple as that.

Small wonder that liberals do not want history to be taught in schools.  They must have their revisionist narrative promoted above all. They can not let the proles and useful idiots see that their "utopia" has never ever worked and never ever will.  It's about power for them and not about any benefits for the masses.

Purges are the necessary consequences of the philosophical foundation of Marxian socialism. If you cannot discuss philosophical differences of opinion in the same way you discuss other problems, you must find another solution—through violence and power. This refers not only to dissent concerning policies, economic problems, sociology, law, and so on. It refers also to problems of the natural sciences. The Webbs, Lord and Lady Passfield, were shocked to learn that Russian magazines and papers dealt even with problems of the natural sciences from the point of view of the philosophy of Marxism-Leninism-Stalinism. For instance, if there is a difference of opinion with regard to science or genetics, it must be decided by the "leader." This is the necessary unavoidable consequence of the fact that, according to Marxist doctrine, you do not consider the possibility of dissent among honest people; either you think as I do, or you are a traitor and must be liquidated.

From TechnoFog:

The Ghislaine Maxwell Trial
We’ve followed the Jeffrey Epstein saga for years. Back before his arrest, we were the first to observe he was an informant for the FBI. We were the first to name the individuals at Main Justice in Washington, DC who supervised and approved Epstein’s 2007 plea deal. (Epstein’s lawyers would later name these DOJ supervisors in court.)

Now we’ll be focusing on the Ghislaine Maxwell trial, which is set to begin tomorrow, November 29.

To borrow a cliché, this is the beginning of the end. The date where a jury of her peers in the Southern District of New York will be presented with evidence of her guilt, her defenses, and ultimately decide her fate. The date where the US Government – the Department of Justice, the FBI, and unknown officials – have finally afforded Maxwell’s victims the right to have their voices heard.

Of course though, this is not about Maxwell and Epstein.  This is not about the underage victims.  This is about protecting their customers.  All of New York City and Washington, D.C. are sleeping soundly knowing that the Pretorian Media are covering for their flabby lily white asses.  Epstein and Maxwell were running their own little blackmail operation and they almost got away with it.

This sleepy little hamlet has grown up and become gentrified.  Lots of road construction and the downtown is unrecognizable.  I was last here in 2012 and what a difference ten years makes.   Fortunately, Ye Olde Pancake House is still there and still serving their breakfasts so I will be heading South with a good load of ballast in my belly.

Driving through Portland was a sobering experience - so many homeless people camped out along the I-5 corridor. I was here three years ago and none of these people were there.  They are being used as pawns in a sick political game of Cloward-Piven - overwhelming the social care system until they can ram through free everything for everybody.  That is the gateway to the Great Reset where nobody owns anything. The State owns everything.  You are just wards of the state.  They need to re-institute asylums.  Get the people who are unable to care for themselves off the streets and into positive care.  JF Kennedy's Community Mental Health Act of 1963 started us down this rabbit hole and Lyndon Baine's Johnson's Great Society did nothing to help.

Had some so-so mexican food and surf for a bit.  Want to get an early start tomorrow.

From the London Daily Mail:

'Be brave. Come here': Bill Maher challenges AOC to appear on his HBO show and slams the 'Squad' and Democrats for pushing 'stupid wokeness' and 'appearing on shows where they're pre-adored'

    • HBO's Bill Maher dared AOC on Friday to appear on his Real Time talk show
    • Maher urged New York congresswoman to 'go where the "amen corner" isn't'
    • He said he'd 'love' to interview AOC since 'there's much to admire about her'
    • But he also hit out at AOC for dismissing critics of 'wokeness' like James Carville
    • Ex-Clinton strategist said 'stupid wokeness' was to blame for electoral defeats
    • Virginia governor's race was won by a Republican earlier this month
    • AOC rejected claims that 'wokeness' was an electoral liability for Democrats

Bill Maher has dared House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to appear on his HBO talk show.

The Real Time host also scolded the far-left ‘Squad’ member on Friday for dismissing critics of ‘wokeness’ - which he claims is the reason Democrats suffered electoral defeats this year in Virginia and elsewhere.

Maher said he would 'love' to have Ocasio-Cortez on his show since there's 'so much to admire' about her, particularly her efforts to combat climate change.

'But that will probably never happen because Democrats don't go anywhere these days where they're not being adored,' Maher said.

'And that's my last bit of advice to them. Go where the "amen corner" isn't.

'Do Fox News. Be brave. Come here. Go everywhere.'

She falls apart when the conversation deviates from her prepared talking points.  Not very good at speaking in public.  I would definitely watch this interview.

A brilliant hack - Dragonfly (updated)

I had written about the original back in 2015: A brilliant hack - Dragonfly

Back then, it was an array of ten commercial telephoto lenses synched together.  Much simpler and cheaper to implement than a mirror of that same size. Fast forward to today. From DP Review:

Canon USA is providing 120 EF 400mm F2.8 lenses to expand Dragonfly Telephoto Array
Canon USA has announced that the company will provide technical assistance to Project Dragonfly, an international research team from Yale University and the University of Toronto, in its plan to expand the Dragonfly Telephoto Array.

The Dragonfly Telephoto Array is a telescope concept designed to capture images of extremely faint structures in the night sky. It is believed that the structures offer insight into the distribution and nature of dark matter.

Canon USA will provide the team with 120 Canon EF 400mm F2.8L IS II USM large-aperture super-telephoto lenses. Canon Inc. will also provide technical assistance. The telephoto array currently consists of 48 Canon EF 40mm F2.8L IS II USM lenses given to the team in 2013 and 2015. The lenses are arranged in two clusters of 24. The additional 120 primes will significantly enhance the array's capabilities.

If they tried to do this with a conventional mirrored telescope, the mirror would be 1.8 meters in diameter but with a focal length of only 40cm (400mm).  There are, of course, light losses in any optical system but the theoretical aperture would be F 0.22 - that is a very fast lens (there are some commercial lenses with F 0.9 but they are rare and expensive - here is the fascinating story of one that is F 0.7)   The curvature on a conventional mirror would be prohibitively deep but easy to do with a simple lens - each lens is focused on a CCD sensor and the images are combined and stacked to give a lot better detail of fine structure.

Here is one cluster with 24 lenses:

Alarm grows as mortuaries fill with thousands of extra non-Covid deaths
Nearly 10,000 more people than usual have died in the past four months from non-Covid reasons, as experts called for an urgent government inquiry into whether the deaths were preventable.

Fears are growing that NHS delays at the height of the pandemic left large numbers of people with previously treatable conditions suffering illnesses that have now become fatal.

Latest figures from the Office for National Statistics showed that England and Wales registered 20,823 more deaths than the five-year average in the past 18 weeks. Only 11,531 deaths involved Covid.

It means that 9,292 deaths - 45 per cent - were not linked to the pandemic.

Spot on - from his twitter account:

And this — from America's Newspaper of Record:

Oh No! 85,000 Trump Ballots Found Inside Biden's Colon
While performing a routine colonoscopy of President Biden, doctors at the Walter Reed Medical Center made a surprising discovery inside the President’s colon: 85,000 Trump ballots.

“At first we were incredulous as to what the monitor showed, assuming it was another massive hairball similar to those we’d been seeing throughout the procedure,” said lead colonoscopologist Dr. Cole Collins, “After I zoomed and enhanced it, the picture clearly showed a mass of trump ballots that appeared to have been lodged in there for over 12 months.”

"This brings new meaning to the term 'ballot dump.'"

A hospital representative said there was a delay in counting the trump ballots after the intensive removal process, citing a severe shortage of volunteers, but that they did indeed count 85,000 ballots right before the FBI raided the facility with truckloads of industrial shredders.

Upon hearing the news of the lost ballots, Donald Trump’s legal team presented a lawsuit demanding a public colonoscopy of the entire Democratic Party.

From Kim DuToit:

From John Nolte, following the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse on all counts:

“So now the question is, as it always is when Democrats don’t get what they want, how many Democrat-run cities will burn tonight at the hands of Democrats?”

From Kim du Toit, in response:

“All of them, I hope.”

You pick which one you think deserves the appellation more.

Well crap - the spending bill passes

From Post Millennial:

House passes Biden's massive social spending bill after McCarthy's marathon speech opposing it
On Friday morning, the House passed Biden's $1.75 trillion Build Back Better spending package after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy delivered a marathon speech overnight that harshly condemned the Build Back Better spending package.

McCarthy's marathon speech lasted over eight hours as be blasted the bill, stalling the vote on the package.

McCarthy called the spending package "the single most reckless and irresponsible spending in the history of this country," noting that this is the most spend at one time "in American History."

"Never in American history will so many taxes be raised and so much borrowing be needed to pay for all this reckless spending," said McCarthy.

And McCarthy is right - from the Washington Examiner:

Democratic spending bill would add $367 billion to deficit, CBO says
The Congressional Budget Office said on Thursday that the House Democratic version of President Joe Biden's climate and social spending legislation would increase federal deficits by $367 billion over the next decade.

The much-anticipated score could further imperil passage of the legislation as it is currently written, given that some centrist Democrats such as Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia have pushed back on the notion of adding to the debt. Still, it is not as bad as some in the Biden administration had reportedly feared, and paved the way for the House of Representatives to move Thursday night to pass the legislation.

Just kick the can down the road - let our kids pay for all the pork.  We need some adults in the room now.

Excellent words from a couragous man:

APPEAL FOR AN ANTI-GLOBALIST ALLIANCE
FOR TWO YEARS NOW we have been witnessing a global coup d’état, in which a financial and ideological elite has succeeded in seizing control of part of national governments, public and private institutions, the media, the judiciary, politicians and religious leaders. All of these, without distinction, have become enslaved to these new masters who ensure power, money and social affirmation to their accomplices. Fundamental rights, which up until yesterday were presented as inviolable, have been trampled underfoot in the name of an emergency: today a health emergency, tomorrow an ecological emergency, and after that an internet emergency.

This global coup d’état deprives citizens of any possibility of defense, since the legislative, executive, and judicial powers are complicit in the violation of law, justice, and the purpose for which they exist. It is a global coup d’état because this criminal attack against citizens extends to the whole world, with very rare exceptions. It is a world war, where the enemies are all of us, even those who unwittingly have not yet understood the significance of what is happening. It is a war fought not with weapons but with illegitimate rules, wicked economic policies, and intolerable limitations of natural rights.

Supranational organizations, financed in large measure by the conspirators of this coup d’état, are interfering in the government of individual nations and in the lives, relationships, and health of billions of people. They are doing it for money, certainly, but even more so in order to centralize power so as to establish a planetary dictatorship. It is the Great Reset of the World Economic Forum, the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations. It is the plan of the New World Order, in which a Universal Republic enslaves everyone and a Religion of Humanity cancels Faith in Christ.

In the face of this global coup d’état, it is necessary to form an international Anti-Globalist Alliance, which gathers all those who want to oppose the dictatorship, who have no intention of becoming slaves to a faceless power, who are not willing to cancel their own identity, their own individuality, their own religious faith. If the attack is global, the defense must also be global.

I call upon rulers, political and religious leaders, intellectuals and all people of good will, inviting them to unite in an Alliance that launches an anti-globalist manifesto, refuting point-by-point the errors and deviations of the dystopia of the New World Order and proposing concrete alternatives for a political program inspired by the common good, the moral principles of Christianity, traditional values, the protection of life and the natural family, the protection of business and work, the promotion of education and research, and respect for Creation.

This Anti-Globalist Alliance will have to bring together the Nations that intend to escape the infernal yoke of tyranny and affirm their own sovereignty, forming agreements of mutual collaboration with Nations and peoples who share their principles and the common yearning for freedom, justice, and goodness. It will have to denounce the crimes of the elite, identify those responsible, denounce them to international tribunals, and limit their excessive power and harmful influence. It will have to prevent the action of the lobbies, above all by fighting against the corruption of state officials and those who work in the information industry, and by freezing the capital used to destabilize the social order.

In Nations where governments are subservient to the elite, they will be able to establish popular resistance movements and committees of national liberation, including representatives of all sectors of society who propose a radical reform of politics, inspired by the common good and firmly opposed to the neo-malthusian project of the globalist agenda.

I invite all those who want to defend traditional Christian society to meet together in an international forum, to be held as soon as possible, in which representatives of various nations come together to present a serious, concrete, and clear proposal. My appeal is made to political leaders and to rulers who care about the good of their citizens, leaving aside the old systems of political parties and the logic imposed by a system enslaved to power and money. I call the Christian nations together, from east to west, inviting Heads of State and the healthy forces of institutions, the economy, labor, universities, health care and information to join a common project, disrupting the old systems and putting aside the hostilities that are desired by the enemies of humanity in the name of divide et impera. We do not accept our adversary’s rules, because they are made precisely to prevent us from reacting and organizing an effective and incisive opposition.

I call upon Nations and their citizens to ally themselves under the Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the only King and Savior, the Prince of Peace. In hoc signo vinces.

Let us found this Anti-Globalist Alliance, let us give it a simple and clear program, and let us free humanity from a totalitarian regime that brings together in itself the horrors of the worst dictatorships of all time. If we continue to delay, if we do not understand the threat that looms over us all, if we do not react by organizing ourselves into a firm and courageous resistance, this infernal regime that is establishing itself everywhere will not be able to be stopped. And may Almighty God assist us and protect us.

Pure truth in one sentence

From a private communication:

Right now, your Government is doing things YOU think only OTHER Governments do.

As the meme says: Change my mind...

From FOX News:

Biden touted CBO as 'gold standard' – now his White House is trying to undermine it
President Biden previously touted the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) as the "gold standard" – but now his White House is trying to undermine it.

While serving as vice president in the Obama administration, Biden said in an interview with Larry King that the nonpartisan legislative budget scorer is the "gold standard" when it comes to their work.

In fact, the president said that no members of either party call into question the CBO’s reports.

But now?  From Zero Hedge:

CBO Confirms Biden Spending Bill Not Fully Paid For, Would Cost $367 Billion Over A Decade
Just as the House Rules Committee cleared Biden's Build Back Better bill for debate by the full House with first votes on the bill set as early as 19:15EST (with Senator Manchin commenting earlier that he has not decided on whether to vote to proceed to the Build Back Better Bill), moments ago the CBO finally released its score of Biden's bill and, to nobody's surprise, it finds that contrary to what the Democrats asserted (and then un-asserted), that the bill would not fully pay for itself.

Instead, the CBO estimates that enacting this legislation would result in a net increase in the deficit totaling $367 billion over the 2022-2031 period, as a result of an additional $1.636 trillion in additional spending...

And continuing from the first article - Biden's reaction to the CBO news:

However, Biden’s confidence in the CBO has been scrutinized after White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said the nonpartisan body did not have the "experience" to weigh in on an aspect of the president’s Build Back Better agenda.

"The CBO does not have experience analyzing revenue amounts gained from tracking down wealthy tax cheats who are taking advantage of every honest taxpayer," Bates said at a press gaggle.

Much more at both sides.

From The Post Millennial:

NBC producer who reportedly instructed man to follow Rittenhouse jury bus nukes social media accounts
Following the identification of NBC booking producer Irene Min Joo Byon on Thursday as the person who instructed an independent journalist affiliated with MSNBC to follow the jury bus in the Rittenhouse case, Byon has deleted both her Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.

On Thursday afternoon, Kenosha Judge Bruce Schroeder informed the courtroom of an incident regarding a man that identified himself as "James J. Morrison," who was pulled over for going through a red light, and was following the secure jury bus at around a one block distance. He told police that he was working for Irene Byon, who is a booking producer for NBC. NBC later confirmed that this Morrison was working for them at the time.

Heh - lots of screencaps at the site.  Silly fool - the internet is forever.  Caught with her 바지 down.

Their "numbers" are different from our "numbers" - same originating pool of data.
Who is right - from Steve Kirsch:

New VAERS analysis reveals hundreds of serious adverse events that the CDC and FDA never told us about
The CDC and FDA have said the vaccines are “safe and effective.” They haven't found any serious issues with the COVID vaccines. Zero. Zip. Nada. It was the DoD that found myocarditis.

The evidence in plain sight shows that they are either lying or incompetent. Or both. But of course, the medical community is never going to call them on this.

So that’s where our team of vaccine safety experts comes in; to reveal the truth about what is really going on.

In a brand new VAERS data analysis performed by our friend Albert Benavides (aka WelcomeTheEagle88), we found hundreds of serious adverse events that were completely missed by the CDC that should have been mentioned in the informed consent document that are given to patients. And we found over 200 symptoms that occur at a higher relative rate than myocarditis (relative to all previous vaccines over the last 5 years). All together, there were over 4,000 VAERS adverse event codes that were elevated by these vaccines by a factor of 10 or more over baseline that the CDC should have warned people about.

As of November 1, 2021, there have been more adverse events reported for the COVID vaccines than for all 70+ vaccines combined since they started tracking adverse events 30 years ago. That’s a stunning statistic, nobody can deny it, but nobody in the mainstream medical community (or mainstream media) seems to care much. It’s not even worth noting in passing. Wow.

Much more at the site - Steve and his team are very explicit in how they reached their conclusions.  The numbers look to be accurate.  Shades of my earlier post about the Canadian response being based on public opinion polls rather than science.

No surprise there - Jump-kick man

From the London Daily Mail - they are doing the job that US journalists are failing to do:

EXCLUSIVE: 'Jump-kick man' who was filmed kicking Kyle Rittenhouse in the head before the teen shot at him is revealed as a career criminal with an open domestic violence charge for 'throwing his girlfriend to the ground and attacking her'

    • Maurice Freeland, 39, has admitted that he was the one who kicked Kyle Rittenhouse in the head on the night of August 25,2020
    • Rittenhouse is charged with First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety of Freeland, who was only known as 'jump-kick man'
    • The state has painted all these actors as heroes attempting to take down an 'active shooter'
    • But DailyMail.com can reveal that at the time of the 2020 incident Freeland was out on bond and is a career criminal
    • He was charged with Battery Domestic Abuse, Criminal Damage to Property Domestic Abuse and Disorderly Conduct Domestic Abuse
    • Freeland was charged for an incident that took place on March 23, 2020 between Freeland and his partner Monalisa N McDuffie
    • McDuffie told police that Freeland 'threw her to the ground and kicked her in her lower right ribcage…then began punching the television'

A career criminal and convicted felon with an open domestic violence charge has claimed to be the unidentified male at whom Kyle Rittenhouse shot twice at close range but missed, on the night of August 25, 2020.

Makes sense - Covid rules in Canada

From Jordan Peterson - Summit News:

Government Adviser Told Me COVID Rules Based on Opinion Polls, Not Science
Jordan Peterson says he spoke to a senior government adviser who told him Canada’s COVID restriction policies are completely driven by opinion polls and not science.

“In relation to the COVID restrictions, I talked to a senior adviser to one of the provincial governments a couple of weeks ago,” said Peterson.

“He told me flat out that the COVID policy here is driven by nothing but opinion polls related to the popularity of the government,” he added.

“No science, no endgame in sight, no real plan, and so what that means is that the part of the population that is most afraid of COVID,” are driving the policy.

Peterson pointed to figures that prove people vastly exaggerate the risk of being hospitalized by COVID due to relentless government fearmongering campaigns.

The article cites public beliefs versus the actual numbers - here are three examples:

A poll in France showed that the average person thinks the infection to fatality ratio is over 16 per cent, when it is actually 0.1-0.3 per cent.

As we previously highlighted, a poll conducted in summer 2020 found that the average American believed 9 per cent of the population, around 30 million people, had died from coronavirus when the actual figure at the time was less than 155,000.

People in the U.S. also believed that 20% of Americans had caught coronavirus, 20 times higher than the number of confirmed cases.

Yeah - science...

A couple of headlines put into two groups:

Group #1:

Group #2:

Why is this so important that a chemical and vaccine manufacturer have these vials?
Because they should not have them.  From the Centers for Disease Control (excerpted):

There are now only two locations that officially store and handle variola virus under WHO supervision: the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia, and the State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology (VECTOR Institute) in Koltsovo, Russia.

We need to know why the Pennsylvania lab had them. Who is behind this?
What are they planning?  More accurately, what is BillG planning?

Piles of bricks are appearing on the streets of Kenosha - typical BLM maneuver.
From The Gateway Pundit:

Leftists at Work: Police Officer Finds Suspicious Pile of Bricks in Kenosha Back Alley
It appears the leftists are getting ready to clock in for work in Kenosha. There is a report of bricks being placed in Kenosha in preparation for rioting.

Star Fire Codes reported there are already calls of suspicious activity coming through the police scanner. Kenosha officer checked a local alley way and verified there are “bricks everywhere” around 12 and 1 PM EST earlier today.

You can download the audio archive file at Kenosha County Public Safety. Here is the audio

This has happened before - part of the BLM modus operandi. Of course, the FBI could find out who paid for the bricks and who delivered them and put a stop to it in a millisecond but that is not in their interest at this time. Time for that to change.  The change needs to start at the top. New blood.

Eaton Rapids Joe is a daily read for me.  Here is just one reason why - this post:

Wisconsin Whack-a-doodles
Let me get this straight: If K. R. is acquitted of most or all charges then it is a clear message to violent rioters that people are empowered (in the Great State of Wisconsin) to protect themselves as defined by "natural law" since the dawn of time.

And if violent rioters decide to protest in spite of this ruling by rioting, then they are knowingly committing suicide.

The only onus on those protecting themselves is to be mindful of the back-ground to ensure that pass-throughs and misses do not kill/injure innocent people.

Am I missing something?

An interesting case if it happens.  It would certainly escalate things to where most of the BLM camp followers would consider slowly backing away from their choice of self-gratification

Busted Knuckles makes an observation about this little scene:

I’m Sure You See What I See Here

20211117-sign.jpg

Besides a bunch of assholes that need to be tried and hung for treason and crimes against humanity.

What I’m NOT seeing are any fucking masks and no six foot safety zones, not up front and not among the audience either.

Someone remind me why I should be listening to anything these fucking cretins have to say again?

No American flag either and only one black guy (all hail diversity). I see a target-rich environment.

The Kenosha Riot - an alternative take

I would not put it past today's FBI to do this - not at all.  Excerpted from Anonymous Conservative:

Now suppose the riot was a complex intel operation, being run from an underground command center many miles away, by intel professionals watching events live on their TV screens, like feeds from numerous “streamers” like Gaige who were running around with their phones, streaming the riot. Suppose that command center was giving orders to their operatives on the ground in the riot through hidden earpieces, using bounced signals from locally positioned repeaters brought in by “Antifa” commanders. Imagine the plan for that night was to make an example out of some patriot who was armed, to counter the images of armed patriots in body armor protesting the Cabal, and make those guys look less scary. Suppose that command center picked Kyle out of the video streams during the early moments of the riot, because he was clearly young, out of shape, naive to how things worked, and looked like a Cherry these seasoned Cabal assets could roll over.

In the trial we learned, that at just the wrong moment, whoever was protecting the CarSource suddenly bailed with no explanation as the crowd moved in (the defense said it in closing). Then, one of the “leaders” of the armed patriots asked 17 year old Kyle to go down there to take the position, and at the same moment, Kyle’s “buddy” in the buddy system the patriots were using, who had been assigned to him earlier (a forty something Army vet), suddenly disappeared inexplicably from the side of the 17 year old kid he should have felt responsible for. So Kyle was suddenly alone and could not find him, just as the order to head to CarSource came in. So Kyle went toward the CarSource alone on orders, where Joseph Rosenbaum was hiding behind a car waiting, and where the FBI had just moved its overhead drone and aviation units to that location to record everything that was about to happen.

What Cabal didn’t know was Kyle was under God’s protection, and just happened to be extra-sharp and highly cool under fire as well. So he smokes two Cabal protesters and cripples a third, all clearly in compliance with all legal strictures, before successfully exfiling and getting to safety. After everything plays out, nobody can say where Rosenbaum came from. Nobody can identify or locate crucial characters, like “Yellow Pants” and “Jump Kick Guy” (both terms from the trial), despite the FBI undoubtedly having the Identification of everyone present that night, and the videos going global. And when Grosskruetz gets admitted to the hospital, somebody knows this will be a clusterfuck, and has the authority to contact the hospital and make sure his name is removed from his admission records, so nobody can find him until they see all the videos, sort out how they are going to deal with it, and figure out what his story will need to be.

It feels like a mad scramble by command after a perfectly planned clock-work op targeting a cherry turned into an epic Goatfuck, and they needed to hide everything until they could figure out how how bad it was, and how they needed to handle it. After Kyle cleaned house, and command gave the order to shut down the riot and send everyone home right after it (why did the shooting not invigorate the crowd to riot even worse?), I will bet there were upwards of a dozen seasoned, high ranking intel professionals gathered in a conference room somewhere shitting bricks, grabbing all the video they could, and trying to figure out how they would keep this epic Goatfuck from blowing stratospheric. I would not be surprised at one point one said, “Well, at least tell me this little shit killed a black guy, so we have something to work with!”

All of that fits together far better as coordinated intel activity, than it does as a random series of events, and odd coincidences, which left Kyle all alone, in the middle of the mob, under attack, with multiple aviation over him.

Much much more at the site.  I am reminded of this quote from the Sherlock Holmes story: "The Sign of Four"

“How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?”

AC's thesis certainly fits the scenario.

UPDATE BELOW:

Quite the crash - from Seattle station KIRO:

Car mangled under semi-truck in crash on I-5 over Skagit River
All lanes of I-5 were blocked over Skagit River late Tuesday morning after a semi-truck struck a car from behind.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rocky Oliphant, the car was folded in half and the semi-truck came to rest on top of the car.

The accident was initially reported as a serious injury collision, but Oliphant later tweeted that the driver of the car sustained only minor injuries.

“There’s really not a word to describe this collision,” said Oliphant. “In my 14 year career, I have never seen anything like it.”

It would be interesting to learn the make and model - some good engineering there.  Hope the designers get to hear about this.

Now it's their turn - East Coast storm

From the London Daily Mail:

'This looks like a Planes, Trains and Automobiles storm': Heavy snow and rain across Northeast and Midwest next week is expected to 'throw a wrench' into Thanksgiving travel plans for up to 50 million Americans

    • Forecasters are keeping their eye on weather patterns that could wreak havoc for travelers trying to reach their Thanksgiving destinations next week
    • Models predict a storm forming in the central plains next Sunday and dumping snow across parts of Minnesota, north Wisconsin and northern Michigan
    • The storm could result in 'heavy accumulations' from northern Indiana and Michigan to Maryland next Monday through Wednesday
    • Inclement weather might trigger heavy rainfalls along the east coast Monday and Tuesday, possibly hitting New York City, Boston and Chicago, potentially leading to flooding and disrupted ground travel
    • More than 53 million Americans are expected to travel during the long weekend
    • AAA advised the 4.2 million Americans expected to fly this year to visit their loved ones to prepare for long lines and to make extra time for TSA checks

A winter storm is set to wallop central and eastern US next week, wreaking havoc on roads and flights as more than 53 million Americans make their way home for Thanksgiving - after many were forced to skip last year's gatherings due to Covid

The National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center warned the storm could be 'potentially significant.'

And please note - this is not global warming. This is weather.
It has happened before and it will happen again.

From Breitbart:

Kyle Rittenhouse Lawyers Request Mistrial, Argue Prosecution Withheld Video Evidence
The defense team for 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse has once again requested Judge Bruce Schroeder declare a mistrial with prejudice, arguing the prosecution withheld video evidence “at the center of their case.”

During the prosecution’s closing arguments on Monday, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger showed members of the jury high-definition drone video footage of the incident wherein Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum in an attempt to demonstrate that Rittenhouse was allegedly “pointing his gun” at people to provoke the encounter.

That is not how the process of Discovery works - both sides are supposed to share any and all information that they have.  There are strong penalties for not doing this.

If it is declared a mistrial, Rittenhouse will be free to walk and there will be no second trial.

Liz Cheney - a two-fer

RINO and deep-state operative. Two links:

Liz Cheney, a Pelosi Ally, No Longer Recognized as Republican: Wyoming GOP
The Wyoming Republican Party voted this weekend to no longer recognize GOP Representative Liz Cheney as a member of the party.

The resolution mentions Cheney's frequent clashes with former President Donald Trump and alleges she owes allegiance to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat.

And:

Liz Cheney’s Husband Works For Chinese Communist Party-Linked Law Firm
Phillip Perry – the husband of the House Republican Conference Chair who looks set to be ousted over her outlandish criticisms of her own party and its leader Donald Trump – serves as a Partner at Latham & Watkins. The firm, which has offices in Shanghai and Beijing, has worked with companies labeled “tools” of the Chinese Communist Party by the U.S. State Department and People’s Liberation Army collaborators.

Good riddance...

And two more - up to seventeen???

The number of Democrat Congress-critters not running for re-election is now up to around seventeen.
Nancy Pelosi has given indication but has not announced. See: Make that fifteen???

Makes a lot of sense - if they bow out now as a standing congressman, they can get a cushy job as a consultant or lobbyist.  If they run and lose?  Different story. From the New York Post:

Rep. Jackie Speier latest high-profile Dem retirement ahead of midterms
Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) announced Tuesday she will not seek reelection in 2022, becoming the latest high-profile Democrat to retire from politics as the party seeks to hold on to narrow majorities in the House and Senate next year.

“It’s time for me to come home,” said Speier in a Twitter video announcing her decision.

Turns out that Senator Patrick Leahy is also stepping down - he has been there for a while.  From the New York Post:

Vermont Democrat Patrick Leahy won’t seek re-election to Senate in 2022
Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont, the longest-serving member of the Senate, said Monday he will not seek re-election in 2022 to the seat he has held for eight terms — setting up the potential for a very longshot bid by a Republican for the seat.

Leahy, 81, said he and his wife, Marcelle, have concluded that “it is time to pass the torch to the next Vermonter who will carry on this work for our great state. It’s time to come home.”

Leahy is actually one of the good ones - smart and ethical.  He just serves the wrong side.

The auction today

Needless to say, I never made it to the preview and did not get home until the final bidding was well underway.

No problem - the stuff went for a bit more than I was looking to pay. Four samples:

20211116-auc01.jpg

I was looking for one or two of these - forced air breathing masks for welding.  My interest is actually for grinding so I would need a different facemask.  I can buy a good one for under $300 so I would pass since I was not able to inspect it.  Missing parts can kill a good deal.

20211116-auc02.jpg

Seriously WTF???  Looks like about 40 wrenches. $37.50 per wrench?  Maybe if they were a complete set of Snap-On but even then...

20211116-auc03.jpg

I wanted to get a couple of these - my limit was $40 as that is about what it costs to build one.  New they are about $120.  Pass...  And finally:

20211116-auc04.jpg

Wanted to get a chain fall as well - this is right around the new price.  I would have stopped bidding at $200 even for a new unit.  a half-ton fall sells for under $400 so someone got a "real good deal" here...

Oh well - would have been fun but I'll have to wait for the next auction.

It will be fun to see the outcome - from the London Daily Mail:

The corrupt liberal media came for me, just like they came for Kyle Rittenhouse, and if he decides to sue I say go for it and hold the media accountable: NICHOLAS SANDMANN
The parallels between me and Kyle Rittenhouse are impossible not to draw.

Kyle was 17-years-old when he became a household name after that terrible tragedy in Kenosha.

I was 16-years-old when I was catapulted into the national conversation by video of an encounter with a Native American activist on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

Kyle was almost immediately labelled a 'white supremacist' and a 'domestic terrorist'.

To many, my red MAGA hat clearly meant that I was a racist.

In only hours a CNN host tweeted an image of me, writing: 'Honest question. Have you ever seen a more punchable face than this kid's?'.

Kyle wasn't given his day in court by his critics.

And neither was I.

Sandmann sued and settled out of court for an unnamed but very nice amount.  Nicholas will not have to work a day in his life if he does not want to.  The media think that they control the narrative.  They do not.  Make their overreach hurt.  Make it painful and they will stop.

Major flooding and wind storm up at the farm.  Over six inches of warm rain in two days.  The rain also melted the existing accumulation of snowpack so the flooding was especially bad.  Maple Falls was isolated as were several other towns both larger and smaller.  Major highways (I-5, SR-542, SR-9) were closed at points - some with detours, some without. Power outage on top of everything else. Had to spend an extra day up there.

My store has a hardwired backup generator so we were able to stay open - one of the night crew was not able to come in so I helped out. Kicking myself for not bringing up a ham radio set - would have been really handy...

Back on the island - temp is 52°F and sunny with puffy clouds.  Like night and day.

More later - unpack the van, do some laundry and get some groceries.

Boy did that escalate in a hurry...

Looks like I am at the farm for a few days.  From an email from the County Department of Emergency Management:

Stay off the Roads – Much of Whatcom County is isolated, unnecessary driving can impede emergency responders and driving around “Road Closed” signs is a traffic offense.

Significant Issues:

    • The Emergency Operations Center has been activated
    • Everson, Sumas, Deming and Maple Falls are all isolated.
    • The Nooksack River is continuing to flood and is expected to through the day.
    • Over 30 Whatcom County roads are posted closed, and many others have water over the road but have not yet been posted.
    • Mount Baker Highway near Valley Highway is closed in both directions due to a landslide.
    • Badger Road is closed, SR-9 and SR-20 is closed due to water over road.
    • Between 50 and 70 water rescues have occurred.
    • Anyone living in known flood areas or low lying areas should be prepared to shelter in place unless there is a life safety issue.
    • Soils are saturated, and we have had multiple landslides overnight, including one into a house.
    • Weather conditions are not expected to improve significantly over the next 8 hours, and there will be additional flooding, landslides, and road closures.
    • High winds have started and power outages are reported across Whatcom County.
    • Anyone who believes that they are in danger should call 911. To report non-emergency impacts please leave a message at

WA State now has 77,099 customers without power.

Nothing planned - heading out to the bucolic hamlet of Glacier for coffee and to pick up baked goods for the store. Spending a couple of hours at the farm and then heading to Sedro-Woolley for the auction preview.  Two towns that merged in 1898 (more here)

Going to take some more photos - landslide as well as raging creeks and overflowing rivers.  Back to the island tonight.

And the fun flooding never stops

All the major rivers are in flood stages.  Woke up to this email from the County Division of Emergency Management:

General Observation: Due to flooding throughout Whatcom County, a Proclamation of Emergency was approved today in order to expedite response by County agencies The National Weather Service is predicting this flooding event to impact Whatcom County for the next several days. Residents in Everson, Nooksack, and Sumas should now be preparing for high water in and around their area. Some roads have been closed due to flooding and dangerous driving conditions. Driving past a road-closed sign now carries a $500 fine. Residents are encouraged to stay home if possible or travel during off-peak times. Additional roads will close as flooding impacts continue downstream.

One of my employees at the store was delayed coming in as a landslide is covering a main road in the area - she had to drive around. Planning to head out for coffee, to the auction preview and then back to do some photography.

Slept long last night and can barely keep my eyes open right now.  Going to try to stay awake until 9:00PM so as not to foul up my schedule but it is hard keepin' the peepers open...  Does not help that it is a very quiet news day - nothing happening out there

And done with the meeting

Good people - see what happens.

Heading out to the farm to give the pups a good run-around and then dinnertime...

Glad I took the long way around

Lots of places with an inch or more water over the road.  Several inches accumulation expected for the next two days.  Pacific Northwet indeed...

Meeting someone, getting a bite to eat and then surf.

Read the internet from one end to the other and nothing caught my eye.

Out for the usual - last night's rain has blown through. The third tranche is supposed to come through tonight sometime. Finish packing the van and drive to the farm.  Meeting with someone at 2:30 about a potential restaurant deal.  Probably not for me but — see what they have to offer...

Got a pair of Bald Eagles looking like they are building a nest across the street from my house - great opportunities for some photos.

Minimal spew today - more much later when I am up there. Heading up via Bellingham as the rivers are running high and the back road has no detour when it floods.

We have Obama to thank too - he wanted to create this division in order to Balkanize us - seperate us into groups so we would not have the political unity and power to tell the deep-state to FOAD.  He could not "fundimentally change" America if America was strong enough to tell him no. Needed to turn neighbor against neighbor before he could do that.

Wonder how this will hit Pelosi and Biden

She is the very model of a very Faithful Catholic after all - from American Magazine:

Archbishop Cordileone on Biden, Pelosi, abortion and Pope Francis
In this wide-ranging conversation on “The Gloria Purvis Podcast,” host Gloria Purvis speaks with Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco about some of the most contested issues in the Catholic Church today. Gloria asks the archbishop about President Biden’s meeting with Pope Francis, his relationship with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the ongoing debate over Communion for pro-choice Catholic politicians and more.

A few excerpts from the transcript:

Bishop Salvatore Cordileone: You brought up that [Mr. Biden is] personally opposed [to abortion]. That was his position at one time. It’s not what it is now. He seems to be more guided by the Democratic Party than his Catholic faith on the issues where we’re not in harmony. He recently said that he no longer believes that life begins at conception, which is a problem for a couple of reasons. One is, it’s not a matter of religious belief when life begins. Science tells us life begins at conception. The church affirms that. So he is explicitly dissenting not only from church teaching but from sound science.

And the 3,000 pound elephant in the room:  The Eucharist

Bishop Salvatore Cordileone: The media certainly has been politicizing it. They keep bringing up [President] Biden and [Speaker] Pelosi. And the bishops were making the point that it’s not going to mention anyone by name, but it’s going to be a teaching document to clearly spell out these issues. Although, I have to admit with all honesty that it was the election of President Biden that really spurred this.  I have to admit with all honesty that it was the election of President Biden that really spurred this.

But it was way overdue. And now [having a] Catholic president who is so aggressive for abortion makes it very urgent. But it’s not going to be focused just on that. It’s going to be a teaching document about the Eucharist as a gift to be celebrated and to be received and to be lived.

Give him three stars for excellent diplomacy.  It will be interesting to see the document when it has been written.  More at the site - a good interview.

Been suspecting but it is always gratifying to see yet another example of liberals getting things wrong.
You think they would learn after a while - from Red State:

COVID Cases Surge in Most-Vaccinated State in US, Liberals Hardest Hit — Literally
As the Great Vax War continues with no end in sight, “the science” long ago gave way to political expediency and hyper-biased predisposition. In other words, as the data continues to roll in, a great deal of it flies in the face of Joe Biden and the Democrat Party. Let us begin with the weird state of Vermont.

Apologies to conservative Vermonters, wherever you are.

As RedState reported earlier this month, Vermont was the most-vaccinated state in America, clocking in at 71.5 percent of the total population, edging out Rhode Island at 71.2 percent and Connecticut at 70.9 percent. Vermont’s lock on the top spot hasn’t changed, as reported by ABC News on Friday, with a current COVID vaccination rate of almost 72 percent.

And yet:

Mike Pieciak, Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation, said during a press briefing on Tuesday: “We just haven’t [previously] seen an increase in terms of that raw number of cases during the pandemic,” adding that there were more than 2,100 cases reported for the week — in one of the least-populated states in the country.

The seven-day average for Vermont COVID cases rose 42 percent as of Tuesday, according to state data. Vermont does more testing than nearly every other state, noted ABC News, though testing only increased nine percent during the same period. According to state officials, the statewide positivity rate also increased 30 percent, with the seven-day average positivity rate just under four percent.

Good news - not fooling around

The so-called peaceful protestors will be out in force when Rittenhouse gets cleared.
Governor Evers is doing a little pre-emptive planning - from the Milwaukee CBS affiliate:

Evers authorizes National Guard troops to support authorities in Kenosha
Approximately 500 Wisconsin Army National Guard troops are reporting for State Active Duty as authorized by Gov. Tony Evers to support local partners in ensuring public safety in conjunction with hundreds of officers from volunteering law enforcement agencies. This, as the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse is in its final stages.

“We continue to be in close contact with our partners at the local level to ensure the state provides support and resources to help keep the Kenosha community and greater area safe,” said Gov. Evers. “The Kenosha community has been strong, resilient, and has come together through incredibly difficult times these past two years, and that healing is still ongoing. I urge folks who are otherwise not from the area to please respect the community by reconsidering any plans to travel there and encourage those who might choose to assemble and exercise their First Amendment rights to do so safely and peacefully.”

“We stand ready to support our communities during times of need,” said Maj. Gen. Paul Knapp, Wisconsin’s adjutant general. “In close coordination with the governor, we have assembled approximately 500 Soldiers to help keep the Kenosha community safe, should a request from our local partners come in.”

Let us hope that the law enforcement officers have the authority to keep these goblins locked up - not freed on bail or their own recognizance.  The problems in Seattle, Frisco and Portland are that it is "fun" for these children to act out.  There are no consequences to their actions.  This needs to change.

Don is on a roll these days

He is always good - one of my daily reads - but the last couple days he is hitting it out of the park.
Consider this little bit of synthesis:

Guess who they blame for Bidenflation
Biden shut down pipelines, and dropped oil leases on federal land. He also had the Federal Reserve flood the stock market with freshly printed dollars. He put Paternity Leave Pete in charge of transportation, and the cargo boats waiting to unload in California may back up all the way to Hawaii.

What are Democrats doing about it?

Blaming Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Intercept reported, "The Main Driver of Inflation Is a Murderous Maniac in Riyadh."

"Murderous Maniac."

Oh those smooth-talking liberals.

The story began, "Salman is enacting revenge on Democrats in general and President Joe Biden specifically for the party’s increasingly standoffish attitude toward the kingdom — by driving up energy prices and fueling global inflation."

Do they really believe their stupid lies?

Under President Donald John Trump, America became energy independent for the first time in 50 years.

Unemployment also dropped to 3.5% for the first time in 50 years.

Spot on.  As the meme says:  "Change my mind"

From NOQ Report:

Leftists, Media, and Big Tech Are Colluding to Burn Down Cities After Kyle Rittenhouse is Acquitted
When Kyle Rittenhouse is acquitted, many cities will likely experience what we saw last year following the release of the George Floyd video. It may even be worse this time if the powers-that-be get their way. But unlike the BLM and Antifa riots that sprung up after the Floyd video, the riots that will come with Rittenhouse’s acquittal have had months of planning and coordination.

At the heart of the conspiracy are mainstream media and Big Tech. They’re doing their part to make sure there’s as much carnage as possible. Let me break it down briefly before getting into more details.

More at the site.  The reason that the liberals are hitting Rittenhouse as hard as they are is that to admit that he acted in self-defense would be to also admit that the riots were just that and not "peaceful protests". They are clueless and live in a bubble.

White House wants McAuliffe after Virginia gubernatorial loss: report
The Biden administration is searching for a job to give Terry McAuliffe following his defeat in the race to be Virginia governor last week, according to a new report.

Punchbowl News reported Thursday that White House officials are looking to place the former Democratic National Committee chair somewhere in the hierarchy. The report cited “multiple high-level sources familiar with the White House’s thinking.”

It is unclear what position McAuliffe would hold, but the report noted that he is not actively seeking work in the administration.

He has political name-brand recognition so they don't want him working for some lobyist and getting off of the political front-line.  A useful foot-soldier.

From Cliff Mass:

Major Flooding Ahead as A Strong Atmospheric River Aims at the Northwest
After a relatively dry summer, the Northwest is experiencing one of the wettest autumns in a long time.

September and October brought above-normal precipitation around the region. November is going to smash typical monthly precipitation amounts at most stations.

Over the next few days, a powerful atmospheric river of moisture surging out of the subtropics will inundate our region, with the western slopes of some of our terrain barriers experiencing as much as 10 inches of rain. Falling on saturated soils, westside rivers will surge to flood stage...some to major flood stage.

Water vapor satellite imagery (which measures the amount of infrared radiation emitted by atmospheric water vapor), shows an impressive plume of water vapor extending from north of Hawaii into our region. Perhaps a part of the "aloha spirit" that is not as welcome as others.

From 90 Miles:

20211111-fbi.jpg

We have our work cut out for us to undo this evil.  From the RAIR Foundation:

Klaus Schwab's School For Covid Dictators, Plan for 'Great Reset' (Videos)
Economist Ernst Wolff believes that a hidden alliance of political and corporate leaders is exploiting the pandemic with the aim of crashing national economies and introducing a global digital currency.

How is it that more than 190 governments from all over the world ended up dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in almost exactly the same manner, with lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccination cards now being commonplace everywhere? The answer may lie in the Young Global Leaders school, which was established and managed by Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum, and that many of today’s prominent political and business leaders passed through on their way to the top.

The German economist, journalist, and author Ernst Wolff has revealed some facts about Schwab’s “Young Global Leaders” school that are relevant for understanding world events during the pandemic in a video from the German Corona Committee podcast. While Wolff is mainly known as a critic of the globalist financial system, recently he has focused on bringing to light what he sees as the hidden agenda behind the anti-Covid measures being enacted around the world.

And this is downright spooky:

Schwab’s Young Global Leaders: Incubator of the Great Reset?
In 1992 Schwab established a parallel institution, the Global Leaders for Tomorrow school, which was re-established as Young Global Leaders in 2004. Attendees at the school must apply for admission and are then subjected to a rigorous selection process. Members of the school’s very first class in 1992 already included many who went on to become important liberal political figures, such as Angela Merkel, Nicolas Sarkozy, and Tony Blair. There are currently about 1,300 graduates of this school, and the list of alumni includes several names of those who went on to become leaders of the health institutions of their respective nations. Four of them are former and current health ministers for Germany, including Jens Spahn, who has been Federal Minister of Health since 2018. Philipp Rösler, who was Minister of Health from 2009 until 2011, was appointed the WEF’s Managing Director by Schwab in 2014.

Other notable names on the school’s roster are Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand whose stringent lockdown measures have been praised by global health authorities; Emmanuel Macron, the President of France; Sebastian Kurz, who was until recently the Chancellor of Austria; Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary; Jean-Claude Juncker, former Prime Minister of Luxembourg and President of the European Commission; and Annalena Baerbock, the leader of the German Greens who was the party’s first candidate for Chancellor in this year’s federal election, and who is still in the running to be Merkel’s successor. We also find California Governor Gavin Newsom on the list, who was selected for the class of 2005, as well as former presidential candidate and current US Secretary of Transportation Peter Buttigieg, who is a very recent alumnus, having been selected for the class of 2019. All of these politicians who were in office during the past two years have favored harsh responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, and which also happened to considerably increase their respective governments’ power.

Going on under our eyes for the last thirty years or so. Much much more at the site.

Why I will not visit Seattle any more

Reason #473,289 - London Daily Mail:

Crime-ravaged Seattle is now so dangerous it can no longer protect its own workers: Security guards are hired to walk county staffers to station or ferry (but you're on your own if you work in the private sector)

    • King County employees will now have security guards escort them to their cars or public transportation hubs each evening after work
    • Those given the option to use the guarded 'walking bus' work in offices in Downtown Seattle, and in the city's Pioneer Square
    • Both have become a hub for homeless encampments, many of whose residents are dangerous
    • The move comes amid a surge in violent crime throughout Seattle, including a 35% increase in shootings
    • Seattle's former police chief Carmen Best, the city's first black female top cop, said that residents are eager to see more cops on the streets
    • She resigned in August 2020 after the City Council slashed the department by 100 officers following pressure from Black Lives Matter protests
    • The city has since lost another 250 officers, including 100 who were ousted for not getting the Covid-19 vaccine

Seattle has become so dangerous that the city can no longer protect its own employees, with security guards now escorting them after they finish work.

King County's new 'walking bus' will debut on November 15, and see council workers based in Downtown Seattle and nearby Pioneer Square escorted to a nearby train station and ferry terminal each evening before being left to continue their commute home.

And how bad is it?

The walking bus announcement also makes no mention of spiraling crime in the Pacific Northwest city, which has seen a recent 35 per cent spike in shootings this year compared to last, and a 76 per cent increase compared to 2019. So far in 2021, 73 people have been killed and another 283 have been injured by shootings in the city.

I worked in Pioneer Square for almost three years before I moved to the farm.  I moved in 2003.  Even then, I had my car broken into several times (parked in private parking garages) and would not be there in the early morning or outside the "tourist areas" at night.  Now?  Hell no. And this is despite one of my favorite surplus places being a few blocks away.  I am not going there.

Won’t back down: Adams vows return of NYPD gun unit after BLM ‘bloodshed’ threat
Message to BLM: Eric Adams is not backing down.

The Big Apple mayor-elect doubled down on his campaign promise to reinstate the NYPD’s plainclothes unit a day after New York Black Lives Matter leader Hawk Newsome threatened “riots,” “fire” and “bloodshed” should Adams follow through on the move.

“I made it clear on the campaign trail,” Adams said on CNN Thursday morning, a day after the heated meeting with Newsome at Brooklyn Borough Hall.

“I’m going to put in place not the Anti-Crime Unit, I’m going to put in place a plainclothes gun unit. We must zero in on gun violence in our community. You’ve seen what’s happening when a young man, 21 years old, was shot by a 17-year-old man carrying a gun,” Adams said, referring to a recent botched gang hit that killed an innocent man in the Bronx.

“This is what I’m doing to do. That was my promise and I’m going to keep it,” Adams said when the CNN host asked if he’d reverse the policy because of Newsome’s threat.

And how many people had to be injured or die to come to this conclusion?
They do not work.  Simple as that.  From Gateway Pundit:

Bill Gates Finally Admits to Failure of COVID Vaccines He Fought So Hard to Prop Up (VIDEO)
In an interview last week with Policy Exchange, Bill Gates finally admitted the dangerous COVID vaccines were not working as advertised.

Gates is one of the leading cheerleaders for the COVID vaccines and was one of the first globalists to call for numerous and continual coronavirus shots.

But despite the fact that the vaccines don’t work as advertised and thousands are reportedly getting sick and dying from the vaccines, the globalist elites continue to push for multiple shots.

Bill Gates: The economic damage, the deaths. It’s been completely horrific and I would expect that will lead the R&D projects to focus on things we didn’t have today. We didn’t have vaccines that block transmission. We got vaccines that help you with your health, but they only slightly reduce the transmission. We need a new way of doing the vaccines.

Bill - this is not like software.  You can't upgrade a previous injection to a new version.

This just amplifies what I have said before.  BillG is just not that smart.  He was very lucky with his birth, with his timing and he is 110% cutthroat competitive but for overall intelligence?  Not so much.

Thinking about Veteran's Day today.  The people who went to fight for our rights to live as we want.  Both in the World Wars and then in Korea and then Vietnam and then the Middle East.

Compare with the braying ninnies we have today. Many good men died so that these adult children could indulge in their ignorant fantasies.

We really need to get some adults back in the room — at all levels.

Two weeks after receiving a vaccine booster then abruptly disappearing from public view, California Governor Gavin Newsom emerged from his home. Looking as shiny and healthy as ever, the governor reassured Californians that the COVID-19 booster shot was safe and effective.

“The booster shot had absolutely no side effects,” said Newsom from the second head poking out of his neck. “I actually feel TWICE as good as I did before the booster!”

There is a HUGE fscking difference between correcting a genetic disease and applying a genetic "patch" to the worlds population.  These two are not the same and yet, Bourla is trying to conflate them in our mind. As things get interesting - Evergrande

From Gateway Pundit:

China’s Evergrande, the World’s Most Indebted Corporation, Officially Goes Insolvent Today
We’ve reported about the challenges that Evergrande is in while facing insolvency.  Today the company officially went bankrupt.

This morning it was reported out of Germany:

China Evergrande Group today again defaulted on interest payments to international investors. DMSA itself is invested in these bonds and has not received any interest payments until today’s end of the grace period. Now DMSA is preparing bankruptcy proceedings against Evergrande and calls on all bond investors to join it.

China Evergrande Group, the second largest real estate developer in China, defaulted on interest payments on two bonds back in September, with the 30-day grace period still ending in October. However, shortly before the end of the grace period, the public was misled by rumors about alleged interest payments. The international media also took the rumors for granted. Only the DMSA – Deutsche Marktscreening Agentur (German Market Screening Agency) already recognized the default at that time and proved in a study that the bankruptcy of Evergrande, the world’s most indebted corporation, could ultimately lead to a “Great Reset”, i.e. the final meltdown of the global financial system.

New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney, one of the most powerful Democrats in the state, conceded that he lost his reelection to truck driver Edward Durr.

“I of course accept the results. I want to congratulate Mr. Durr and wish him the best of luck,” Sweeney said during a speech on Wednesday in the statehouse, conceding that a “red wave” in his district caused him to lose his longtime seat.

An observation at a wedding

Ann Barnhardt writes about the marriage of one of the Getty heirs in a ceremony in the San Francisco town hall.  I saw the writeup in Vogue - including the guy who was supposed to be Governor Newsom.  Ann's interpretation cuts to the heart of the matter:

Pelosi presides at a pagan ceremony aping the sacrament of marriage, guests told to cover their faces in her presence, Pachamama later appears
So some degenerate billionaire oligarch spawn “got married” in a pagan ceremony presided over by Nancy Pelosi in the San Francisco City Hall. You can look at the Vogue magazine photo post on the abomination – everything about it, including the guests, most of whom were clearly sex perverts, screamed “luciferian”.

Two things jumped out.  First, all of the guests were packed into various venues before and after the main “marriage ceremony”, and all were totally maskless. THEN, the Vogue reportage is insistent to note that all of the guests were told to COVER THEIR FACES in Pelosi’s presence when she arrived, which they all did with the utmost piety.

Guests were asked to mask up before Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi entered the room and took her position at the microphone.

Now stop and think about this.  No one is wearing a mask until the high priestess Pelosi arrives, then all must veil their faces, clearly having NOTHING to do with even the pose of “health and safety”.  This was a PURE act of religious submission to the person and presence of Pelosi herself.  That they all veiled their faces as a LITURGICAL ACT contingent completely upon Pelosi’s presence – the guests were all seated and the venue packed with no masks until Pelosi’s entrance procession – is a clear proof of the open manifestation of Covidism AS A POLITICAL RELIGION.

Pachamama is an Incan goddess - earth, mountains, earthquakes.  She has been "rehabilitated" but before the Spanish arrived: "Pachamama is often a cruel goddess eager to collect her sacrifices" The link also has this observation:

Pachamama also serves as a means for which the Andean intellectuals are more able to stake a claim of autochthony, or of being indigenous to the land. Since it is never brought up that the modern Pachamama differs from her pre-Hispanic one, believers have no reason to suspect that their ancestors did not worship Mother Earth for hundreds of years.

Emphasis mine.  The images are here: Inside Ivy Getty’s Fantasy Wedding Weekend in San Francisco  Ann is onto something. The Pachamama "dancer" is in photo #94/100

It is also worth researching a little of the family history. Money can be very corrosive to a weak soul.

Global warming? Winter Olympics

Looks like China might be having some unseasonably cold weather for the Winter Olympics.
From the Communist Chinese house organ Global Times:

Beijing Winter Olympics fully prepared for cold waves, as artificial snowmaking meets low-carbon standards
As the city of Beijing is expected to experience one of the coldest winters ever this year, which could be subject to other weather extremes, Beijing Winter Olympics meteorological security researchers said the organizing committee has prepared for various weather conditions to ensure that the outdoor events will not be affected by sudden weather extremes.

And:

In Beijing, this winter's first major snowfall came 23 days earlier than usual, as a severe cold wave hit many parts of China over the weekend with heavy snowfalls and plunging temperatures.

Yeah...  #1) - the world is cooling off and #2) - yes, we do influence the overall climate but this influence is a pittance.  A few percent at best.  The idea that our activities can cause a profound change is pure fscking hubris.

We have a system in place to come into this country.  Looks like we have some real winners trying to enter illegally. From The Tennesee Star:

27 Percent of Migrants Arrested at Border Are Repeat Offenders, Many with Other Criminal Convictions
Federal law enforcement officers arrested more than 17,300 migrants with past convictions of other crimes attempting to cross the border illegally last fiscal year. That’s up from 9,447 in fiscal 2020.

The federal government’s fiscal year runs from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30.

An additional 8,979 in fiscal 2021 were of migrants with outstanding arrest warrants against them from other law enforcement agencies.

Those migrants have been convicted of crimes including assault, battery, domestic violence, burglary, robbery, larceny, theft, fraud, driving under the influence, homicide, manslaughter, illegal drug possession and trafficking, illegal reentry, illegal weapons possession and transport and sex offenses, among others.

Of the total apprehensions, 27% were repeat offenders previously caught in the same fiscal year.

In fiscal 2021, Border Patrol agents arrested 10,763 criminal migrants, of which 1,904 had outstanding warrants.

Office of Field Operation agents encountered 6,567 criminal migrants, and arrested 8,979 individuals already in the National Crime Information Center database. NCIC arrests include citizens and noncitizens wanted by law enforcement agencies nationwide.

Strong borders would deter the criminals from trying to come in.  It would also cut way back on drug and human trafficking.  Why do Pelosi and Schumer keep the borders open?  How much are they being paid to do this?  The numbers are pretty plain to see.

Now this is curious - all in the family

A two-fer from Don Surber

Don is a retired newspaper man and his blog is a daily read for me. One of his columns is a "Highlights of the News" - today has two entries that are spot on:

ITEM 3: Then there is the $450,000 per family Einstein Brandon wants to give illegal aliens.
Fox reporter Peter Doocy asked Einstein Karine Jean-Pierre, press briefer, "What about giving people who are coming here the right way money?"

She replied, "Why would we be giving people who are coming here the right way money?"

Doocy replied, "Why are you giving people who came here the wrong way money?"

She replied, "I don't understand the question. We should be giving people money who are just coming through?"

Doocy replied, "You're giving people who immigrated here illegally money."

She replied, "That's the Department of Justice, you're going to have to ask them that question."

Then she pulled the blind on her DMV window and went to lunch.

And:

ITEM 4NPR reported in May that Einstein Karine Jean-Pierre is the first black lesbian press briefer in history.

I am sorry, black lesbian people, but between her and Einstein Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, I am just not that impressed. How about sending someone competent first instead of these two morons.

I mean really - Mayor Pete too - this regime has some horribly incompetent people.

Ho. Li. Crap...  From the Seattle, WA FOX News affiliate:

Washington scientist admits faking steel-test results for Navy submarines
A metallurgist in Washington state pleaded guilty to fraud Monday after she spent decades faking the results of strength tests on steel that was being used to make U.S. Navy submarines.

Elaine Marie Thomas, 67, of Auburn, Washington, was the director of metallurgy at a foundry in Tacoma that supplied steel castings used by Navy contractors Electric Boat and Newport News Shipbuilding to make submarine hulls.

From 1985 through 2017, Thomas falsified the results of strength and toughness tests for at least 240 productions of steel — about half the steel the foundry produced for the Navy, according to her plea agreement, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Tacoma. The tests were intended to show that the steel would not fail in a collision or in certain "wartime scenarios," the Justice Department said.

And this:

She suggested that in some cases she changed the tests to passing grades because she thought it was "stupid" that the Navy required the tests to be conducted at negative-100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The current operating theory of why the Titanic sank is that the metal in its rivets became brittle at cold temperatures. They were fine in the shipyard - passed every test with flying colors but they would snap with a clean break when chilled: here, here, here and here.  Testing at —100° is a perfect way to accentuate any potential issues with the batch of steel.

I do blacksmithing and have studied a lot about metal heat treating.  It is not a trivial subject. Fascinating but not trivial.  For example, here is a chart that an engineer would use to determine the proper heat treatment of a specific steel alloy:

20211108-I-T.jpg

You are looking at Temperature and Time.  The elements of the graph indicate the relative concentrations of Martensite, AusteniteFerrite and Cementite in the crystaline structure. I am simplifying things greatly.  There are also options for cryogenic treatment.  And this is for just one alloy with a specific chemical composition.  Change anything and you have to develop an entirely new chart and an entirely new heat treatment protocol.  Also note that some transitions have to happen over a few seconds at a specific temperature.  Other transitions require several hours or maybe a week at a specific temperature.  You do not simply heat it red hot and plunge it into a bucket of water or oil. At least, not for a submarine hull...

What she did is unconscionable.

Not legal - from The Washington Free Beacon:

Biden Admin Amassing Millions of Records on US Gun Owners Amid New Crackdown on Firearms
The Biden administration in just the past year alone stockpiled the records of more than 54 million U.S. gun owners and is poised to drastically alter gun regulations to ensure that information on Americans who own firearms ultimately ends up in the federal government's hands, according to internal Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The ATF in fiscal year 2021 processed 54.7 million out-of-business records, according to an internal ATF document obtained by the Gun Owners of America, a firearms advocacy group, and provided exclusively to the Free Beacon. When a licensed gun store goes out of business, its private records detailing gun transactions become ATF property and are stored at a federal site in West Virginia. This practice allows the federal government to stockpile scores of gun records and has drawn outrage from gun advocacy groups that say the government is using this information to create a national database of gun owners—which has long been prohibited under U.S. law.

Does not bother me - I lost all of my guns in the horrible boating accident of 2007 - why I brought them all along, I will never know.

From Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green:

WOKE works both ways - Native Americans

Delightful story at Legal Insurrection:

Native American Lawsuit Challenges Colorado Ban On Native American “Mascots” As Discriminatory
The banning of Native American (American Indian) depictions for sports teams gets a lot of press, most famously the Washington Redskins renaming themselves the Washington Football Team.

There’s a side to this issue that I had not thought of, but is argued in a lawsuit just filed in Colorado. That when the government is involved in such name bans, it is discrimination against American Indians because it deprives them of the ability to have things named after them. It is, according to the argument, the worst form of cultural appropriation, more like cultural depravation.

In Colorado in 2021, legislation was passed banning the use of American Indian mascots, broadly defined. Now the law is being challenged in a lawsuit filed on November 2, 2021, on behalf of the Native American Guardians Association (NAGA) and individuals by the Mountain States Legal Foundation, which summarizes the case on its website:

The Complaint is at the site and is a fun read.  #8 especially:

8. “[I]n a society in which [racial] lines are becoming more blurred, the attempt to define race-based categories also raises serious questions of its own. Government action that classifies individuals on the basis of race is inherently suspect and carries the danger of perpetuating the very racial divisions the polity seeks to transcend.” Schuette v. Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, 572 U.S. 291, 308 (2014).

That pretty much smacks down a lot of the liberal arguments.  All the race warlords and poverty pimps will be out of a hustle. "Rev." Jackson please call your office...  I wonder if the woke ninnies that took the Indian woman off the Land-O-Lakes butter package will put her back.

The joys of journalism in this regime

A two-fer about the Ashley Biden diary
Frontpage Magazine:

Where Are All the Raids of Dem Media Outlets That Published Stolen Materials?
One of the uglier sign points in the decline of journalism and general ethics was the repeated description of published stolen material as "leaked". There was some defense when the media described material stolen by insiders as "leaked", but then the term became commonplace for calling documents stolen by hackers as leaks.

Take the recent hack of the Oath Keepers.

And the thesis:

The Project Veritas raids have to be seen in the context of a media that normalized stealing and publishing people's private information, either for political reasons or for clicks, and yet insists that the line has to be drawn when the targets, Clinton's people or Biden's people, are on their side of the political line. Making that argument is just hypocrisy, backing it up with state authority is weaponizing the FBI to suppress a form of journalism that they accepted as legitimate until they fell afoul of it, much like hidden-camera investigations and Planned Parenthood.

Very good call - OK for us but not for youse guys...

Second: New York Post:

This sure looks like Biden’s DOJ persecuting an opposition journalist
You don’t have to be a fan of James O’Keefe’s style of journalism to be worried about how the government is reacting to it.

The FBI and Manhattan federal prosecutors are investigating the case of Ashley Biden’s diary: The president’s daughter says it was stolen in a burglary last year; an obscure right-wing Web site wound up publishing what it said are pages from it about 10 days before the election.

O’Keefe says someone shopped the diary to his Project Veritas, claiming Biden had left it somewhere. His outfit didn’t use it (in part because it couldn’t verify it), and he says he informed law enforcement of the whole thing.

And then there is this:

He’s also outraged that the feds urged him not to go public with the subpoenas, but someone dropped a dime to The New York Times, which started calling for comment an hour after the first raids Thursday morning.

And their thesis:

Journalists can’t be prosecuted for publishing stolen material unless they were part of the theft. And the theft in question hardly seems to rise to a federal crime.

And shield laws normally mean law enforcement can’t make reporters reveal a thing about their sources, even if they didn’t publish anything.

Journalists regularly publish material that has been leaked or even taken — consider the Times running President Trump’s tax returns. Unless the feds know something about Veritas sanctioning the burglary, the diary does not warrant pre-dawn raids. It has all the marks of a political vendetta.

That’s not at all a good look for a Biden Justice Department already in ill repute for intimidating parents who just ask questions at school-board meetings.

A couple of great points.  This regime is overstepping the bounds of the law.
Words fail...

It was once five, then it was seventhen it was twelve
Now, it's fourteen - from The Hill:

Democrats brace for flood of retirements after Virginia rout
Democrats are bracing for the possibility of a coming wave of retirements as the party comes to grips with a series of ominous electoral losses in Virginia and other states that portend trouble in the 2022 midterms.

Fourteen House Democrats have already announced that they will not seek reelection in 2022. But the painful string of defeats in Tuesday’s off-year elections is stirring speculation that more of the party’s incumbents may be eyeing the exits ahead of the midterms in hopes of avoiding brutal reelection campaigns or being relegated once again to the minority.

Simple really - if they bow out now, as undefeated, they will be able to get cushy jobs as lobbyists and 'consultants'.  If they are defeated for reelection, not so much. This is not about how they represent us, this is about what we can do for them - keep them feeding at the trough instead of going out and getting honest employment.

Not doing so well in the polls.  This poll in particular is from USA Today/Suffolk University:

Gloomy landscape for Democrats in midterms as Biden's approval drops to 38% in USA TODAY/Suffolk poll
A year before the 2022 midterm elections, Republicans hold a clear lead on the congressional ballot as President Joe Biden's approval rating sinks to a new low of 38%.

A USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll, taken Wednesday through Friday, found that Biden's support cratered among the independent voters who delivered his margin of victory over President Donald Trump one year ago.

Not just the independents. And Harris is at 27.8% approval.

Sample size was 1,000, error was 3.1 points plus/minus.  Pretty damning for someone who got 80+ Million votes.

James and company could not pay money for this kind of good publicity.
From the New York Post:

Project Veritas founder’s apartment raided as part of probe into Ashley Biden’s stolen diary
The FBI raided Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe’s home on Saturday, as authorities continued to investigate the apparent theft of President Biden’s daughter’s diary, a report said.

The court-ordered early morning raid of O’Keefe’s Mamaroneck apartment was reported by The New York Times. It came two days after the feds reportedly raided two New York addresses linked to associates of the conservative website’s creator.

Neighbors of the 37-year-old told the Times about the several-hours long search, and the FBI confirmed to the paper that agents had “performed law enforcement activity” at his building.

“They asked for James,” next door neighbor Jimmy Maynes reportedly said. “I thought they were banging on my door. I opened the door.”

“They told me to close the door and I closed the door,” he told the paper. “That’s exactly what happened. It was still dark.”

Talk about Republican In Name Only - from the London Daily Mail:

Chris Christie tells GOP's biggest donors that Glenn Youngkin's Virginia win is 'start of new era' and urges party to 'move on from Trump's 2020 election fraud claims' - as he teases his own 2024 run

    • Christie was giving a speech for the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas
    • He said the GOP needs to send voters a message that 'doesn't hurt their ears'
    • The former governor is one of the only prominent Republicans to tie the party's success in Virginia and performance in New Jersey to a distance from Trump
    • Christie told CNN he'd decide whether to run for president in 2024 after 2022

New Jersey's last Republican governor Chris Christie told a room full of wealthy GOP donors that it was time for the party to move past Donald Trump - and held up Glenn Youngkin's victory in Virginia and Democrat losses in his own state as proof the controversial ex-president's influence on voters is waning.

Speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition's annual leadership meeting in Las Vegas on Saturday night, Christie urged elected Republican officials and candidates to stop arguing over the 2020 election.

He told the crowd that Youngkin's victory represented a 'new era' in the GOP.

'Glenn Youngkin did not have a backward-looking campaign and neither did Jack Ciattarelli,' Christie told Fox News the day of the event.

These idiots are so busy trying to get their seat at the government feed-trough that they do not realize the damage they are doing to this Nation of ours. Christie is about as useless as tits on a boar hog.

Busted - FBI and Project Veritas

James points out the obvious - Ashley Biden's diary:

Project Veritas has a long track record of being 100% accurate.
They also have a long track record of winning lawsuits for defamation, slander, etc...

More here: If you are taking flak, you are over the target and also, an observation:

There was always a question as to the provenance of the diary.  That is why Project Veritas decided not to publicize anything about it and chose instead to hand it over to law enforcement.  It was a hand-written document and could have been a forgery. The Hunter Biden laptop simply had too much private information - emails, photographs and videos for it to be anything but authentic.

All the recent action of the FBI and the Southern District of New York accomplished was to prove that the diary was in fact authentic.  They could have let everything slide and it would have disappeared over the horizon without a ripple.
Now?  Quite the opposite.

Big news item this morning is Governor Gavin Newsom's disapearence.  He had a booster shot on October 27th and has not been seen since. London Daily Mail:

Where's Gavin? California Governor Newsom disappears from public view for 10 DAYS and skips COP26 summit to deal with 'family obligations' – but posts a Halloween snap in pirate costume with his wife and kids

    • Newsom was last seen publicly getting a COVID booster shot on October 27
    • On October 29, he abruptly canceled plans to attend COP26 in Scotland
    • Spokesperson cited 'family obligations' and said he would attend virtually
    • No further details on those 'obligations' have been shared
    • Newsom has not yet made a video appearance at the climate summit
    • He has been seen only in a pre-recorded Diwali message and Halloween photo
    • Newsom posed in pirate costume with wife and kids in photo posted on Monday
    • A spokeswoman says Newsom has been working from the Capitol this week

California Governor Gavin Newsom has disappeared from public view for 10 days and abruptly canceled plans to attend the COP26 climate summit in Scotland over unexplained 'family obligations.'

Newsom was last seen in public on October 27, receiving a COVID-19 booster shot in Oakland. He said it was painless and then flexed in celebration, urging others to get boosters as well.

Two days later, his office issued a statement citing unspecified family obligations, abruptly cancelling his plans to attend the global climate conference, a huge gathering of international leaders on a subject that is among his highest priorities.

The statement claimed that Newsom would attend the summit virtually, though he still has not made a video appearance. California's lieutenant governor led the delegation in his place. No further information on the 'family obligations' that caused the sudden alteration to his schedule have been shared.

Since then, Newsom has been seen only in prerecorded video statements, and in family Halloween photos posted on Monday, in costume as a pirate with his wife and four young children.

Looks like CNN is having some ratings problems. Could not be happening to a nicer network.
From FOX News:

CNN ratings crash in October without any regular program averaging 1 million viewers
The only thing spookier than Halloween for CNN is the network's freefalling viewership.

During the month of October, nearly every single program failed to average 1 million viewers, according to Nielsen data. This marks historic lows for the so-called "most trusted name in news."

The only two exceptions during the 31 days were the 90-minute Biden town hall, which still came in third place behind Fox News and MSNBC averaging only 1.2 million viewers, and the 30-minute "Cuomo Prime Time" that aired immediately after with 1.1 million.

And the numbers - cruel cruel numbers:

CNN averaged a devastating 480,000 in total day viewership in October, a whopping 76% drop from January amid the chaotic transition from President Trump to President Biden. Fox News averaged 1.4 million and maintained its total day viewership from earlier this year while MSNBC averaged 657,000 viewers in October, resulting in a 61% drop from January.

Ouch - CNN and MSNBC both.  Fake News is no longer driving viewers.  People have had enough.

13 Republicans were crucial in passing Biden's $1.2T Infrastructure Bill
The U.S. House of Representatives on Friday has approved President Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill with the support of a dozen (plus one) Republicans. Six progressive Democrats voted "no" on the bill.

Biden is expected to sign the bill as soon as it lands on his desk, scoring a massive victory for his administration after months of negotiations between the Democratic Party’s moderate and progressive sides and their Republican counterparts.

The only good news is that they outed themselves and now we know who needs to be replaced.  Makes me wonder what sort of grift they were awarded for their votes.

From FOX News:

Pentagon confirms nearly 450 Americans trapped in Afghanistan
The Pentagon stated Tuesday that nearly 450 American citizens are still in Afghanistan following August’s U.S. military withdrawal, more than the Biden administration has previously claimed.

The latest tally came from Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl, after Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., pointed to what he believed were contradictory or at least "confusing" numbers that the administration has presented since the August 31 withdrawal.

OK - but wait... From Foreign Policy:

State Department: Thousands of U.S. Residents Still Stuck in Afghanistan
The State Department believes as many as 14,000 U.S. legal permanent residents remain in Afghanistan, Foreign Policy has learned, as the agency faces increasing scrutiny from Congress about the status of U.S. citizens and green card holders that are still stranded in the Taliban-controlled country.

The finding, disclosed by a congressional aide familiar with the matter, has been transmitted by the State Department to aides on Capitol Hill in private, but officials demurred on revealing the figure when questioned by Republican lawmakers on Wednesday, insisting the agency doesn’t track the figure.

“Isn’t the operating assumption about 14,000?” Republican Rep. Chris Smith asked Brian McKeon, deputy secretary of state for management and resources, at a hearing on Wednesday, referring to the figure briefed in private.

“We don’t track [legal permanent residents],” McKeon responded. “It’s a good question why we don’t,” he added, suggesting the lack of clarity might be because the State Department does not require Americans and legal permanent residents traveling abroad to report their whereabouts.

If the democrats spent one tenth of the energy actually doing their jobs that they spent bashing President Trump, we would be in a pretty good state of affairs right now.  Instead - it's pushing the narrative 24/7.  Push harder if people do not believe you.  Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

From FOX News:

House drops planned vote on massive spending bill Friday after moderates stymie Pelosi
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer expressed confidence about the state of play on President Biden's infrastructure and social spending bills. The House will vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill tonight, but leaders were forced to delay a vote on the spending bill.

Hoyer told reporters the House's scheduled debate and vote on the reconciliation "rule" for the spending bill later Friday would be a "giant step forward" toward passage, even though Democrats won't yet vote on whether to pass the bill itself.

“I’m absolutely convinced, beyond a doubt, that before Thanksgiving, the week of the 15th, we will pass the Build Back Better legislation," Hoyer said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Democratic leaders “had hoped to be able bring both bills to the floor today," but opted to “honor requests” from some lawmakers for more clarity on the legislation's financial implications.

The Mad Queen was saying that her bills would be passed today.  So sad, too bad...  I wonder if she will lose it in public - that would be perfect.

From Project Veritas:

FBI and Southern District of New York Raid Project Veritas Journalists’ Homes
I awoke to the news that apartments and homes of Project Veritas journalists, or former journalists, had been raided by FBI agents. It appears the Southern District of New York now has journalists in their sights for the supposed “crime” of doing their jobs lawfully and honestly. Or at least, this journalist.

I had to think long and hard before making this statement. It’s a decision that only I can make. They don’t want me to defend myself and immediately tried to silence me. That’s why the cover letter for the Grand Jury Subpoena we received contains this language:

The Government hereby requests that you voluntarily refrain from disclosing the existence of the subpoena to any third party. While you are under no obligation to comply with our request, we are requesting you not to make any disclosure in order to preserve the confidentiality of the investigation and because disclosure of the existence of this investigation might interfere with and impede the investigation.

But while the Department of Justice requested us to not disclose the existence of the subpoena, something very unusual happened. Within an hour of one of our reporters’ homes being secretly raided by the FBI, The New York Times, who we are currently suing for defamation, contacted the Project Veritas reporter for comment. We do not know how The New York Times was aware of the execution of a search warrant at our reporter’s home, or the subject matter of the search warrant, as a Grand Jury investigation is secret.

James Carville believes too much “left-wing nonsense and claptrap” is why his party failed so often in Tuesday’s elections, especially in Virginia.

When asked Wednesday how Terry McAuliffe lost to Glenn Youngkin in a state that President Joe Biden won by over 10 points a year earlier, the long-time Democrat strategist told PBS NewsHour that it was “stupid wokeness” and the overall agenda pushed by progressives.

“What went wrong is stupid wokeness. Don’t just look at Virginia and New Jersey. Look at Long Island, Buffalo, look at Minneapolis, even look at Seattle, Washington,” the 77-year-old told the liberal outlet. “I mean, this ‘defund the police’ lunacy, this take Abraham Lincoln’s name off of schools; people see that. And it really has a suppressive effect all across the country on Democrats. Some of these people need to go to a woke detox center or something. We got to change this and not be about changing dictionaries and change laws.”

An interesting article about Ivermectin

Two months old - just ran across it thanks to Peter at Bayou Renaissance Man.
From NOQ Report:

Shocking Conclusions from Africa Study Expose Why Big Pharma’s Puppets are Suppressing Ivermectin Data
Joe Rogan, Kirstie Alley, and a handful of other celebrities have brought out the anti-Ivermectin wolves in America. Mainstream media is in full attack-mode. Big Tech is censoring posts to the point that people are coming up with creative ways to indicate they’re even talking about Ivermectin so as not to trigger the filters. The CDC claimed the drug was for horses only, neglecting to remove their own recommendations for people to take Ivermectin for other issues.

If the CDC is recommending what they deemed to be a “horse dewormer” to people traveling from Africa, does that mean the CDC is racist?

graph made its rounds on social media yesterday that raised some eyebrows. It showed the clear difference between countries in Africa that use Ivermectin regularly versus those that do not. The differences were startling as the Ivermectin-nations showed unambiguous advantages against Covid-19. The mortality rates were very low compared to countries that do not use Ivermectin on a wide scale.

I can only offer anecdotal evidence but I come into contact with a lot of people every week, I have been taking it once every month and when exposed for the last two years and have had no illnesses except for two minor sore throats.  I suspect that these were due to my snoring.

From 90 Miles:

20211104-informed.jpgAnd these two stories - Kaiser Health News (a part of Kaiser/Permanante's non-profit wing):

ERs Are Swamped With Seriously Ill Patients, Although Many Don’t Have Covid
Inside the emergency department at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, staff members are struggling to care for patients showing up much sicker than they’ve ever seen.

Tiffani Dusang, the ER’s nursing director, practically vibrates with pent-up anxiety, looking at patients lying on a long line of stretchers pushed up against the beige walls of the hospital hallways. “It’s hard to watch,” she said in a warm Texas twang.

But there’s nothing she can do. The ER’s 72 rooms are already filled.

“I always feel very, very bad when I walk down the hallway and see that people are in pain, or needing to sleep, or needing quiet. But they have to be in the hallway with, as you can see, 10 or 15 people walking by every minute,” Dusang said.

And the illnesses:

Doctors and nurses say the severity of illness ranges widely and includes abdominal pain, respiratory problems, blood clots, heart conditions and suicide attempts, among other conditions.

Hmmmm...  Sound familiar?  How about this story from the Australian Broadcasting Company:

National Cabinet considers how to deal with an influx of COVID-19 patients, with hospitals already straining
There's something Mark McGowan would rather not talk about.

Mr McGowan, the most popular premier in the country, presides over a health system at breaking point and yet there's not a single case of COVID-19 right now in Western Australia.

Hundreds of non-urgent elective surgeries have been cancelled this month, while ambulance "ramping" — the hours patients in ambulances wait to be admitted into a hospital — has reached a record cumulative high of 6,000 in August.

So West Australians who have been patiently waiting for cataract surgery, for a new hip or knee, or an IVF procedure, are being asked to wait even longer because Perth's emergency departments are struggling.

Just so we are clear.  There is not a COVID problem in the hospitals at this time. The article is asking what would happen if a COVID outbreak manifested while the ERs were swamped. And what are they swamped with?

They do not say.  They also have this story from West Australia - again, no COVID cases but:

Fears over WA's COVID-19 readiness as grim hospital statistics revealed
One of Perth's major hospitals has declared internal emergencies almost once every five days because of extreme pressure on its ability to treat patients.

New figures, obtained by the state opposition, showed there were 490 "code yellows" in the health system in the 12 months to June this year.

Again, zero details on what these illnesses are.  I am willing to take a bet that they are the same as in the first story:

abdominal pain, respiratory problems, blood clots, heart conditions

All of these are the very well known symptoms of a bad reaction to the experimental vaccine.
The Vax is the disease - as simple as that.

Yesterday, I wrote about how China was telling its citizens: Be prepared - 30 days of food, water, etc...

Today, from Zero Hedge:

La Nina Sparks "Cold Wave" Across China As CCP Tells Households To Stockpile Food
China Meteorological Administration (CMA) warned Thursday of a cold blast to sweep across the country from northwestern to southeastern China due to a La Nina weather event.

Xue Jianjun, deputy director of CMA, said: "The cold air will bring a plunge in temperature nationwide compared with mid-October. The cold wave came from west Siberia which was then enhanced by cold air from the North Pole."

"Heavy snow or rain will take over the Northeast and North China and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and farmers there should store corns outdoors ahead of the precipitation," Jianjun said.

CMA warned last month that a La Nina weather pattern would bring colder weather to the country. The timing of the cooler air is problematic amid an energy crisis that has resulted in nationwide power rationings

Beijing understood ahead of time La Nina would bring colder weather. It ordered the country's top state-owned energy companies to secure coal supplies for this winter at all costs in September.

State-run news outlet Xinhua News Agency said, "the possibility of phased extreme and strong cooling events is high."

Colder weather will also mean more precipitation and flooding as well as a late start to the 2022 agricultural season. They have to import soybeans and coal. Wonder how much actual hard currency they have.

There were two School Board elections that were of some concern.  The good people won - 55% and 56%. A bit close for my liking but still, a decisive win nonetheless.

Going to be a typical but interesting November - from Cliff Mass:

A Very Stormy November Ahead
For the Northwest, November is the stormiest month of the year by almost every measure.

A month in which strong low-pressure areas or midlatitude cyclones move off the Pacific Ocean towards our region.

The next week is going to be extraordinarily active and it will be a miracle if western Washington or western Oregon escapes one of the big blows.

Fast forward to this:

Had enough? Sorry.
The most impressive storm is just offshore on Monday afternoon, and it is VERY deep, with a central pressure of 951 hPa. Deeper than the famed Columbus Day Storm. Sustained winds of 50-65 knots. You don't want to know about the gusts.

Oregon coast is going to bear the brunt.

Warm and cloudy - spitting rain off and on.  Heading out to get the mail and some groceries.
Time to batten down the hatches.

Global Village Construction Set
The Global Village Construction Set (GVCS) is a modular, DIY, low-cost, high-performance platform that allows for the easy fabrication of the 50 different Industrial Machines that it takes to build a small, sustainable civilization with modern comforts. We’re developing open source industrial machines that can be made at a fraction of commercial costs, and sharing our designs online for free.

The GVCS in itself consists of many other Construction Sets – as we build not individual machines, but construction sets of machines. As an example, the Fabrication Construction Set component can be used to build any of the other machines. Our goal is lifetime design, and low maintenance so only a few hours of maintenance per year are required to keep any machine alive.

We have built the first machine in 2007 – the Compressed Earth Brick Press. Since then, we have been moving forward steadily, improving the performance and production efficiencies of our machines. We have achieved a landmark One Day production time of the Compressed Earth Brick Press in 2012, and we intend to bring down the production time down to 1 day for each of the other machines. In 2013, we used our tractor, brick press, and soil pulverizer to build a comfortable home – the Microhouse. We continue to dogfood our tools in agriculture, construction, and fabrication – as we build our facility up to a world-class research center for open source, libre technology and decentralized production. In 2014, we will be moving to a replicable workshop model of production – integrating immersion education and production – where we intend to scale by distributing our open enterprise models far and wide. Our goal is to demonstrate how these machines contribute to creating a world beyond artificial material scarcity – by creating an open documentation, development, and production platform – towards the open source economy.

The index of the machines is here.  Interesting ideas - straight out of Ernest Callenbach's Ecotopia

Energy costs - coal prices

This will be 'interesting' when it hits - from Bloomberg:

U.S. Coal Miners Are ‘Sold Out’ for 2022
Almost every lump of coal that U.S. miners will dig out of the ground next year has already been sold, as surging natural gas prices prompt utilities to burn more of the dirtiest fossil fuel.

Peabody Energy Corp., the top American supplier, has contracts for more than 90% of its coal from the Powder River Basin region next year and all of the power-plant fuel from its other U.S. mines. And Arch Resources Inc., the No. 2 producer, has lined up deals with utilities for all of its 2022 output from the basin at an average price that’s 20% higher than current spot prices.

Demand for electricity is surging as the global economy recovers from the pandemic and winter approaches, driving natural gas prices to record highs. Even with coal miners boosting output next year, power producers are signing multi-year contracts for every ton they can get. As global leaders converge in Glasgow next week for a key United Nations climate conference, these lengthy supply deals are further evidence that the transition to clean energy is going to take some time.

“It’s pretty much sold out,” Peabody Chief Executive Officer Jim Grech said Thursday during a conference call. “We only have a small portion left to be sold for 2022 and for 2023.”

I drive past a railroad track couple times/week and see a lot of long trains heading north to Vancouver, B.C. - these are coal trains with 100 cars loaded to the brim and usually about 150-170 empty cars heading south. Spent a lot of time at the crossings so have counted them several times. Coal is King. This is going to hurt everyone - especially since this is supposed to be a cold wet winter.

Much more win than that.  From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

Republicans claim House majority after flipping 6th seat
What looked like a draw for control of the House of Delegates turned into an apparent Republican victory with the defeat of Del. Lashrecse Aird, D-Petersburg, who had appeared to narrowly win re-election over GOP newcomer Kim Taylor.

Instead, Taylor took a late lead in what appears to be an upset victory over Aird, as the battle for a House majority swung back and forth Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning with unofficial results subject to canvassing by local electoral boards to determine final winners.

House Minority Leader Todd Gilbert, R-Shenandoah, declared victory with a statement released at 1:40 a.m.

“Virginia voters made an historic statement, delivering a clear rebuke of the failed policies of the last two years and electing Republicans up and down the ballot," Gilbert said. "In addition to electing Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Sears, and Jason Miyares [to statewide offices], voters have given Republicans a majority in the House of Delegates."

We The People are speaking.  Tired of this shit.

Time to call the feds and get this stopped.  From the London Daily Mail:

NJ senate president now claims ballots have suddenly APPEARED in race with trucker who spent $153 on campaign: Dem refuses to concede defeat in humiliating loss to Raymour and Flanagan driver who 'doesn't know' what he'll do in office

    • Edward Durr is a 58-year-old truck driver for furniture store Raymour & Flanigan
    • Durr won the race by 52 percent to 48 percent on Thursday, AP reported
    • He defeated NJ Senate President Steve Sweeney, who is the longest-serving legislative leader in New Jersey's history and has been in senate since 2002
    • Sweeney said on Thursday that he's not conceding until all the votes are in
    • According to AP, 100% of the precincts in Sweeney's district have reported
    • The last time Sweeney had to defend his seat in 2017, nearly $20 million was spent in what is known as one of the most expensive legislative races in US
    • Democrats have struggled statewide in the blue stronghold, with incumbent Democratic Governor Murphy just barely crawling to victory
    • Out of the $153, Durr spent $66.64 at Dunkin Donuts to buy food and drinks for his 'staff' and $86.67 for flyers and business cards

A Republican truck driver who spent just $153 on his campaign and ran for office after he was denied a gun permit secured a stunning victory against the longest-serving legislative leader in New Jersey history in the state's elections - but the loser is disputing the results and claims more ballots were 'found' on Thursday.

The election was held on Tuesday but Associated Press only called the race today after 100 percent of precincts had reported.

Ballots were 'found' - the people trying to do this need to be sentenced to 20 years behind bars.  As Voltaire said: "Pour encorager les autres"  Make the punishment for cheating painful, public and swift.

The latest Brandon hypocracy from Don Surber:

Vax mandate deadline moved to after the holidays
Apparently, covid takes off for the holidays because the Brandon administration is rolling back the vax mandate from November 22 to January 4. Shutting down Southwest Airlines and American Airlines gave Brandon a taste of the chaos his unconstitutional order would unleash.

Stat News reported that the deadline for federal contractors and government employees had been November 22. The deadline for larger companies was December 8.

CNBC reported, "The Biden administration ordered U.S. companies Thursday to ensure their employees are fully vaccinated by Jan. 4 or regularly tested for covid-19 — giving them a reprieve over the holidays before the long-awaited and hotly contested mandate takes effect.

I have the same thoughts about this that I do about "climate change":   I will believe that there is an emergency when the people who are telling me that there is an emergency start acting like there is an emergency.

If this was a real pandemic, Joe would not be flying off to Europe and the government would be locked down in quarantine. This is theater - nothing more.

Fun in Chicago - Police

From the Chicago Sun-Times:

FOP president warns Council members who fail to repeal vaccine mandate: ‘We are coming for every one of your damn seats’
Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara on Monday likened Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s vaccine mandate to the midnight destruction of Meigs Field and warned City Council members who refuse to take a stand against it that “we are coming for every one of your damn seats” in 2023.

Two vaccine-related ordinances were introduced at Monday’s Council meeting. Both were shunted to the Rules Committee, the burial ground for legislation opposed by the mayor. Ald. Ray Lopez (15th) tried to suspend the rules to reverse that action but was voted down 30 to 20.

That didn’t stop Chicago police officers from showing up in force outside City Hall. Nor did it stop Catanzara from threatening Council members who won’t support repealing the vaccine mandate.

“We’re taking a report card and anybody who does not raise their hand — you will be challenged in 2023. We are coming for every one of your damn seats because this is not the way a government is supposed to run. It is not a queen on that throne. … It is not, ‘Take it or leave it,’” Catanzara said during public comments before Monday’s meeting.

Getting a little pushback from the very people you need to maintain order.

From the London Daily Mail:

Icing on the donut! Dems now face state NJ Senate defeat at hands of TRUCKER who spent just $153 of his $10,000 GOP donations on campaign (and $66 of that was at Dunkin!)

    • Edward Durr is a 58-year-old truck driver for furniture store Raymour & Flanigan
    • As of Wednesday afternoon Durr leads in the state senate race for New Jersey's 3rd Legislative District by a margin of 52 percent to 48 percent
    • He's up against NJ Senate President Steve Sweeney, who is the longest-serving legislative leader in New Jersey's history and has been in senate since 2002
    • The last time Sweeney had to defend his seat in 2017, nearly $20 million was spent in what is known as one of the most expensive legislative races in US
    • Democrats have struggled statewide in the blue stronghold, with the race for governor still too close to call after Murphy was expected to easily win
    • Out of the $153, Durr spent $66.64 at Dunkin Donuts to buy food and drinks for his 'staff' and $86.67 for flyers and business cards

A Republican truck driver who spent just $153 on his campaign may manage a stunning upset victory against the longest-serving legislative leader in New Jersey history in the state's elections on Tuesday.

The defeat could be another embarrassing upset for the Democrats following a night where they lost the Virginia gubernatorial election, struggled in the race for New Jersey governor and performed dismally in votes across the country.

As of Wednesday afternoon, GOP candidate Ed Durr was leading Democratic Senate President Steve Sweeney in South New Jersey's 3rd Legislative District by 52 percent of the vote to 48.

Sweeney, an Ironworks union official and one of the most powerful politicians in the state, has been a state senator for nearly two decades. He became Senate President in 2010.

Sweeney's problem is that he is part of the corrupt machine.  As long as the machine kept to itself and didn't get in the news that often, people were content to let it keep running things.  In the last couple of years, the machine got delusions of grandeur and thought that it could control everything. That may have sounded good to the other cogs in the bubble but it did not play well in Peoria (or Newark)

Similar thing almost happened here two years ago - the entrenched governor was running and a guy who was the police chief for a small town in Eastern, WA ran a minimal campaign and got 43.12% of the vote.  People are getting really tired of this shit.

From The Seattle Times:

Republican Ann Davison leads police abolitionist Nicole Thomas-Kennedy in Seattle city attorney race
Republican Ann Davison held a strong 58% to 41% lead in the race for Seattle city attorney, with returns Tuesday showing voters rejecting the brash language of her police abolitionist opponent, Nicole Thomas-Kennedy, in favor of Davison’s law-and-order stance.

No race in Tuesday’s city election was more fraught with the potential for unpredictable consequences than the race for Seattle’s official lawyer, who traditionally has prosecuted minor crimes and provided legal advice and defense for the city and its employees, including police.

At one end stood Thomas-Kennedy, a former public defender who wants to ultimately abolish misdemeanor prosecutions. During the unrest that swept the city in the summer of 2020, she tweeted about her “rabid hatred of the police” and pronounced property destruction during times of protest a “moral imperative.”

At the other end was Seattle attorney and arbitrator Davison, whose perceived transgression for some in liberal Seattle was seen as being as bad as anything her opponent said on social media: She declared herself a Republican in 2020, while President Donald Trump was in the White House.

Voters are tired of the kiddies acting out.  They want some adults in the room.

Life in the bubble - Democrats

From the ever-wonderful London Daily Mail:

We need to be even FURTHER left: Progressives including Ilhan Omar double down on agenda that led party to disaster in Virginia and vow to fight GOP’s ‘race-baiting BS’ as desperate Dems start the blame game

    • Shell-shocked Democrats were reassessing what went wrong after losing the Virginia governor's race
    • Lawmakers pointed to the failure to pass Biden's domestic agenda and progressives issued stark messages
    • Ilhan Omar retweeted a comment by Twitter user Secular Talk that said: 'Can't wait for the left to be blamed for a not at all left democrat losing a D+10 state.' She added a face-smacking emoji
    • The far-left Battle Barn Collective called the Virginia result a 'shellacking' that should 'wake up' the Dems
    • Progressive said McAuliffe's campaign 'had no rebuttal to Republican race-baiting bull****'
    • Senator Tim Kaine (D-Ohio) said he hoped his colleagues would treat the dismal showing like the 'Ghost of Christmas Future'
    • Moderate Democrats have called for an end to the infighting that has blocked spending bill talks
    • Joe Manchin called the Virginia results 'unbelievable' and said it shows Dems need to focus more on issues
    • Youngkin beat Terry McAuliffe in Virginia, while New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy was clinging to narrow lead

Progressive Democrats led by Ilhan Omar suggested the party needs to go even further to the left and didn't do enough to combat the Republican's 'race-baiting bulls***' as warring factions played the blame game for Terry McAuliffe's crushing defeat in Virginia and a close race in New Jersey on Tuesday night.

Senator Tim Kaine (D-Ohio) said he hoped his colleagues would treat the dismal showing like the 'Ghost of Christmas Future' and moderates called for an end to in-fighting with Biden's agenda still stalled and his approval ratings plummeting.

Even the mainstream media was damning of the results and the fallout with CNN saying Biden returned from Europe to a 'political nightmare', The New York Times suggesting the president's falling approval rating 'heavily shaped' the dismal showing, and The Washington Post said it confirmed the collapse of the coalition that propelled the Democrats to victory over Donald Trump in 2020.

Heh...  Enjoy the bubble - you made it, you own it.  You are very much in the minority - get over it.

They have nothing to offer so they have to cheat - from Todd Starnes:

Virginia Dem Caught by Police for ‘Tampering with Voting Site’
Democrat Virginia Del. Chris Hurst was pulled over by a Radford City Police officer less than 24 hours before Election Day for “tampering” with a polling site.

The police released bodycam footage showing the officer questioning the Democratic candidate for resorting to “poor” tactics “instead of doing a fair election.”

“Want to explain your actions?” the officer asked.

“I don’t think so,” Hurst, a former journalist, said.

Radford Sheriff Mark Armentrout said Hurst was pulled over after a woman, Emilly Frentress, tampered with campaign signs outside a city recreation center before she got into his car and drove away.

Hurst’s license was also suspended.

“I think what y’all need to do, is after I deal with you here, is go back and fix those signs,” the officer told them. “You gotta resort to doing this, instead of doing a fair election?”

The officer concluded: “You’re supposed to be representing, representing us. And not out here acting like a school kid. How am I supposed to vote for you if you’re out here doing this?”

Hurst lost to Republican challenger Jason Ballard and conceded Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.

I think I'm in love - Winsome Sears

Virginia's new Lieutenant Governor - from her campaign site:

Winsome was elected to a majority Black legislative district! No other Republican has done that in Virginia since 1865: She consequently also became the first (and still only) Black Republican woman elected to the House, the first female veteran, and the first legal immigrant woman.

Winsome is a mother, wife and is proud to have served in the United States Marines. She was also a hard-charging Vice President of the Virginia State Board of Education and received presidential appointments to the US Census Bureau (where she co-chaired the African American Committee) and the Advisory Committee on Women Veterans to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

In addition to her Masters degree, Winsome also built a successful business as a trained electrician and understands the importance of helping small businesses thrive. However, Winsome is most proud of her community work leading a men’s prison ministry and as director of a women’s homeless shelter for The Salvation Army.

She stands on her accomplishments, not on some "social justice" puffery.

the largest bureaucracy in the world is advocating this - from Bloomberg:

China Urges Stocking Up Ahead of Winter, Prompting Worries Online
A statement from China’s government urging local authorities to ensure there was adequate food supply during the winter and encouraging people to stock up on some essentials prompted concerned talk online, with people linking it with the widening coronavirus outbreak, a forecast cold snap, or even rising tensions with Taiwan.

The Ministry of Commerce urged local authorities to stabilize prices and ensure supplies of daily necessities including vegetables this winter and next spring, according to a statement Monday evening. Chinese households were also encouraged to stock up on a certain amount of daily necessities in preparation for the winter months or emergencies.

The notice was similar to one released in September before the week of holidays at the start of October, which told local governments to ensure food supplies and stable prices during the break. Even so, this new appeal sparked speculation that it’s linked to a widening coronavirus outbreak which has prompted a new round of lockdowns and travel restrictions after it spread to over half the mainland’s provinces.

All non-compliant - wonderful. Also wonderful?  This being reported by Reuters:

From Boeing to Mercedes, a U.S. worker rebellion swells over vaccine mandates
In Wichita, Kansas, nearly half of the roughly 10,000 employees at aircraft companies Textron Inc and Spirit AeroSystems remain unvaccinated against COVID-19, risking their jobs in defiance of a federal mandate, according to a union official.

"We're going to lose a lot of employees over this," said Cornell Adams, head of the local Machinists union district. Many workers did not object to the vaccines as such, he said, but were staunchly opposed to what they see as government meddling in personal health decisions.

The union district has hired a Texas-based lawyer to assist employees and prepare potential lawsuits against the companies should requests for medical or religious exemptions to vaccination be denied.

A life-long Democrat, Adams said he would no longer vote for the party. "They'll never get another vote from me and I'm telling the workers here the same thing."

It is one thing for these stories to be carried in the Conservative media outlets, quite another entirely for mainstream liberal outlets to start carrying them. The tide is turning.

The current poster child for the environment got slapped down - from Breitbart:

China Dismisses Greta Thunberg as Uneducated for Calling Out Beijing
The Chinese government newspaper Global Times insultingly urged climate change celebrity Greta Thunberg to seek “a better education” on Monday after the Swedish teen listed pressuring China to cease being the world’s worst polluter as “not the least” of her concerns.

Thunberg noted China’s spree of coal plant building in an interview with the BBC broadcast Monday, calling China’s coal policy “out of touch with reality.” The activist arrived in Glasgow, Scotland, that day to protest the ongoing United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). In a fiery speech outside the event, she demanded politicians stop “whatever the fuck they’re doing in there” and focus instead on tangible solutions to what she has called a climate “crisis.”

Chinese dictator Xi Jinping did not attend the event, instead, hectoring participants in a speech from Beijing to improve their green records while promising China would continue to increase carbon emissions for nearly another decade.

Spoiled little rich girl is not a leader. She pushes the narrative but she is only a meat puppet just like Joe Biden. She will have her fiften minutes of fame and when she is no longer useful, under the bus she goes... Hey Greta? Say hi to Fauci when you get there...

The Deluge...  From Newsweek:

How Fauci Fooled America
When the pandemic hit, America needed someone to turn to for advice. The media and public naturally looked to Dr. Anthony Fauci—the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, an esteemed laboratory immunologist and one of President Donald Trump's chosen COVID advisers. Unfortunately, Dr. Fauci got major epidemiology and public health questions wrong. Reality and scientific studies have now caught up with him.

Here are the key issues:

Natural immunity. By pushing vaccine mandates, Dr. Fauci ignores naturally acquired immunity among the COVID-recovered, of which there are more than 45 million in the United States. Mounting evidence indicates that natural immunity is stronger and longer lasting than vaccine-induced immunity. [Eds.: Long-term trends are still unclear. A recent study reached the opposite conclusion, but was criticized by an author of this op-ed.] In a study from Israel, the vaccinated were 27 times more likely to get symptomatic COVID than the unvaccinated who had recovered from a prior infection.

We have known about natural immunity from disease at least since the Athenian Plague in 430 BC. Pilots, truckers and longshoremen know about it, and nurses know it better than anyone. Under Fauci's mandates, hospitals are firing heroic nurses who recovered from COVID they contracted while caring for patients. With their superior immunity, they can safely care for the oldest and frailest patients with even lower transmission risk than the vaccinated.

More at the site.  For a centrist media outlet like Newsweek to publish something like this means that the wheels on the bus are already turning and the good Doctor's trajectory has already been plotted.  Under the bus he goes. Good riddance...

In a classic gaffe for an American reporter to make (though it certainly isn't ideal when the reporter making it is a cable news network's senior political correspondent) CNN News Anchor Wolf Blitzer was criticized on Monday for "going to the wrong city" after he said he was reporting from Edinburgh (the Scottish city perhaps best known as the setting of the film "Transpotting") instead of Glasgow, the site of the COP26 climate summit.

Blitzer, a 73-year-old veteran broadcaster tweeted a photographer tweeted a photograph of himself in a studio in front of Edinburgh Castle, 50 miles away from where the event is taking place,

However, twitter users told the American journalists that he was "in the wrong city" with one saying "if you're in Ediburgh, you're in the wrong place fella."

Another said: "Yeah, that's just down the road from Glasgow. Why not pop over to Loch Ness at lunchtime for a spot of monster hunting?"

Finally, another roasted Blitzer with a "Morning folks! We're here in Birmingham to bring you full coverage of the royal wedding in London!"

They just push the narrative and to Hell with any attempt at actually doing their job.  Unreal...

Blew it by one day.  Martin Luther nails his 95 theses to the door of the Castle Church.
This triggers the Protestant Reformation - a major undertaking.

Christianity was not a nice religion at that time - sort of where Islam is today. The Muslims need to take note.

This caught my eye:

Red sky this morning - sailor take warning.  Got another pineapple express headed our way.

That may be but the dogs still need their walkies and I still need my coffee so life goes on.

Working at home today - back in a few hours...
