*Resident Biden — press conference today in Madrid, Spain after this week's NATO meetings:

It would almost be funny if it was not our own Nation at stake. Russia has been the convenient excuse for the depredations of the deep-state ever since G.H.W.B. in the 1980's...  The reality is that Putin is the only strong leader who wants nothing to do with the corruption of the deep-state and who unabashedly loves his County.

Biden campaigned on getting rid of "fossil fuels".  His first day in office, he signed an E.O. shutting down the Keystone Pipeline so his buddy Warren Buffett could continue making bunches of money shipping oil from Canada to the refineries on the Gulf Coast.

The inflation?  The food shortages?  The high energy costs?  These are all carefully engineered by the marxists in the deep-state to kill the middle class.  They want an underclass of dependents and the elite - nothing in between. Worked so well for Russia and for China and for Cuba.  Venezuela. Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka is recently in the news...

Got a good offer and signed on it.  Engineer coming out to do an inspection (there is a ground water issue) and then it's all over.  It has been an interesting four years what with the marriage crashing and burning and everything else.  Good to get the hell out of Dodge and move to a state that is more conducive to liberty.

There is a lot here that I will miss - people, places, the location.  Lisa is at our new home and there is a lot there to discover.  Looking forward to joining her in a month or two - still have to list the farm.  Been a left-coaster for too long - time to return home. Get back to my roots.

Of course - she didn't get her way

Another liberal/RINO acting like a spoiled child — from CNS News:

Pam Bondi: Cassidy Hutchinson 'Very Upset' She Didn't Get a Job With Trump Team in Palm Beach
President Donald Trump says he personally rejected Cassidy Hutchinson for a job with his post-presidency team in Palm Beach, Florida.

And former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, a Trump supporter, backed up Trump's statement in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday night.

Bondi said she had two conversations with Hutchinson, who "loved President Trump" and was "very upset" she was turned down for a job in Florida.

But...

"Then her contemporaries told the president that she could not be trusted. She was a leaker when she was in the White House. And She didn't get to go to palm beach.

Yup - a backstabber.  Not anything that President Trump (or anyone) needs.
President Trump's statement:

I hardly know who this person, Cassidy Hutchinson, is, other than I heard very negative things about her (a total phony and 'leaker'), and when she requested to go with certain others of the team to Florida after my having served a full term in office, I personally turned her request down. Why did she want to go with us if she felt we were so terrible? I understand that she was very upset and angry that I didn't want her to go, or be a member of the team. She is bad news.

Horrible news - the EPA

Looks like a case of sour grapes - from The Gateway Pundit:

Biden Takes Aim at America’s Largest Oil Field, Threatens to Stop Production, Sending Gas Prices Soaring
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is preparing to cite the United States’ largest oil field for violating ozone pollution standards, a move that will threaten the end of oil and gas production in the region.

According to the Texas Governor’s Office, the proposed regulations will directly affect the Permian Basin, the largest oil field in the United States, accounting for 95,000,000 gallons of gasoline per day or 40% of the oil produced domestically.

This would be just one more move from Biden’s administration to impact the lives of every American by reducing the fuel supply and causing gas prices to soar well beyond Biden’s record of $5 per gallon.

“Even as Americans are struggling with $5 gas and record-breaking inflation, team Biden continues to double down on their political commitments to ‘end all fossil fuels,'” former EPA Chief of Staff Mandy Gunasekara told reporters Wednesday.

According to a report by Bloomberg, regulators would have three years to propose solutions to the violations. However, ongoing regulatory uncertainty common to Biden’s ever-increasing climate change initiatives is likely to disincentivize new permits and drilling in the oil field.

That is just fscked on so many levels.  This is going to make gasoline prices skyrocket.  How stupid are these people?

Thought that Roe v. Wade was something?  Hold my beer - from the Daily Caller:

Supreme Court Delivers Massive Blow To Biden’s Climate Agenda

    • The Supreme Court dealt a critical blow to the Biden administration’s wide-ranging climate goals Thursday, limiting the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants.
    • “Congress did not grant EPA in Section 111(d) of the Clean Air Act the authority to devise emissions caps based on the generation shifting approach the Agency took in the Clean Power Plan,” Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority opinion.
    • The case was centered around a 2015 Obama-era EPA climate rule known as the Clean Air Act, which sought to cut carbon emissions from power plants by 32% by 2030.

The Supreme Court delivered a massive blow to the Biden administration’s climate change plan Thursday, severely limiting the power of federal agencies.

The Court, in a 6-3 decision on West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), limited the agency’s authority to regulate greenhouse gases from power plants, significantly curtailing the power of the federal agency. The decision restricts the agency to regulating individual power plants and not the entire power sector.

The EPA still has the power to regulate individual aspects of a specific facility.  They cannot however, establish a blanket rule to cover an entire industry - that requires a bill to pass through Congress and to be signed by the President. Legislation through fiat is not specifically enumerated in our Constitution.

Our planet dodged a bullet - from Infogalactic:

Tunguska event
The Tunguska event was a large explosion that occurred near the Stony Tunguska River, in what is now Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, on the morning of 30 June 1908 (N.S.). The explosion over the sparsely populated Eastern Siberian Taiga flattened 2,000 km2 (770 sq mi) of forest and caused no known casualties. The cause of the explosion is generally thought to have been a meteor. It is classified as an impact event, even though no impact crater has been found; the meteor is thought to have burst in mid-air at an altitude of 5 to 10 kilometres (3 to 6 miles) rather than hit the surface of the Earth. Different studies have yielded varying estimates of the superbolide's size, on the order of 60 to 190 metres (200 to 620 feet), depending on whether the meteor was a comet or a denser asteroid. It is considered the largest impact event on Earth in recorded history.

Energy released was about 1,000 times greater than the Hiroshima nuclear bomb.
A few hours either way and our history would be a lot different.  Ka-Boom?

From America's Newspaper of Record:

Jan. 6 Committee Says Cassidy Hutchinson Told Them That She Heard Mark Meadows Say That A Secret Service Agent’s Friend’s Cousin’s Husband Once Heard That One Of Trump’s Other Aides Said She Thinks She Heard Him Say He Wanted To 'Do An Insurrection'
The walls are closing in on former President Trump. In an explosive bombshell unprecedented star witness testimony yesterday, Cassidy Hutchinson told everyone that she heard Mark Meadows say that a Secret Service agent's friend's cousin's husband once heard that one of Trump's other aides said she thinks she heard him say he wanted to "do an insurrection."

"Yes, that's totally what I heard someone say Trump said to someone who told it to them," said Cassidy Hutchinson. "He literally said 'Let's do an insurrection.' And then he threw a plate at the bust of Martin Luther King." Hutchinson then started sobbing uncontrollably.

The committee confirmed that the Secret Service agent's friend's cousin's husband who heard the aide say what she thought she heard is "an upstanding witness of the most unassailable character."

"This is looking really bad," said conservative folk hero Adam Kinzinger. "This might finally be the beginning of the end for Trump, who we are discovering was the evilest president to ever be elected." Kinzinger then started sobbing uncontrollably.

The hearings are expected to heat up even more next week when the committee brings in Johnny Depp to testify - according to sources close to Johnny Depp's agent's cleaning lady's great aunt.

Trump is toast - they got him now.
How DARE he disturb the workings of the deep-state.

Turned out that there were four real-estate showings today.  Busy place.  I had to stay away for them so hung out at the farm and then had dinner in Mt. Vernon on the way home - a great hole-in-the-wall Thai place

See what happens - septic tank inspection tomorrow afternoon.

Heading out for coffee (got my priorities) and then to the barn to pick up the trailer, load up the van and heading up to the farm - bring the first of many loads from the house here up to the connex boxes.

Lisa is at our new house now and settling in.  As soon as the house here sells, I'll drive there with the first load 'o stuff and arrange for the connex boxes to be shipped.  Back to the farm, close it out and put it on the market and then I will be a resident of North Carolina.  Looking forward to it.

UPDATE BELOW:

Just wonderful - from The Reload:

Massive Trove of Gun Owners’ Private Information Leaked by California Attorney General
California gun owners have been put at risk by the Attorney General’s office after a new dashboard leaked their personal information.

The California Department of Justice’s 2022 Firearms Dashboard Portal went live on Monday with publicly-accessible files that include identifying information for those who have concealed carry permits. The leaked information includes the person’s full name, home address, date of birth, and date their permit was issued. The data also shows the type of permit issued, indicating if the permit holder is a member of law enforcement or a judge.

The Reload reviewed a copy of the Lost Angeles County database and found 244 judge permits listed in the database. The files included the home addresses, full names, and dates of birth for all of them. The same was true for seven custodial officers, 63 people with a place of employment permit, and 420 reserve officers.

2,891 people in Los Angeles County with standard licenses also had their information compromised by the leak, though the database appears to include some duplicate entries as well. The databases with detailed information were initially available for download via a button on the website’s mapping feature. They appeared to have been removed from public access by Tuesday afternoon and replaced with spreadsheets without the individualized identifying information.

And, of course...

The office of Attorney General Rob Bonta (D.) did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

They will claim that this was an error but it was by design.  Get the guns in the hands of the criminals.  Disarm the middle-class.  Let crime increase.  Cloward-Piven Strategy here we come...

UPDATE: Tried the website again (two hours after the initial post) and it now shows the following:

Had a bunch of people at yesterday's open house.  My realtor and I are going to look at the offers tomorrow.  Keeping fingers crossed.

Taking things a bit easy today - got a showing at 10:30AM so have to be out of the house for that.  Working in the barn sorting through things.  Do a run to the transfer station.  Planning a trip to the farm this Wednesday.

Nothing much happening out there.  A South Carolina democrat got outed for doing what democrats do - cheat.
Really stupid move on her part (read the story) and yet, she is running for a US Senate seat.

Time to load the van and head out for coffee...

I am siding with Putin on this one.  I feel incredibly sorry for the citizens of Ukraine but its government is corrupt as hell.  The deep-state has turned it into a place for money-laundering and human and narcotics trafficking.  They need to protect this - can not have the truth get exposed.  Since the deep-state is so embedded in the core of our Federal Government, they are sending in the FedGov foot soldiers to preserve their playground.  From the New York Times by way of the Internet Archive (bypasses their paywall):

Commando Network Coordinates Flow of Weapons in Ukraine, Officials Say
As Russian troops press ahead with a grinding campaign to seize eastern Ukraine, the nation’s ability to resist the onslaught depends more than ever on help from the United States and its allies — including a stealthy network of commandos and spies rushing to provide weapons, intelligence and training, according to U.S. and European officials.

Much of this work happens outside Ukraine, at bases in Germany, France and Britain, for example. But even as the Biden administration has declared it will not deploy American troops to Ukraine, some C.I.A. personnel have continued to operate in the country secretly, mostly in the capital, Kyiv, directing much of the massive amounts of intelligence the United States is sharing with Ukrainian forces, according to current and former officials.

At the same time, a few dozen commandos from other NATO countries, including Britain, France, Canada and Lithuania, also have been working inside Ukraine. The United States withdrew its own 150 military instructors before the war began in February, but commandos from these allies either remained or have gone in and out of the country since then, training and advising Ukrainian troops and providing an on-the-ground conduit for weapons and other aid, three U.S. officials said.

If they are saying "hundreds", the real number is thousands.  A lot more at the site - we are in very deep for what is being touted as a regional dispute.  Wonder why?  Follow the money.  This is the deep-state's playground and they do not want it disturbed...

Gorgeous sunrise this morning - cloudless sky.  Got up to 90°F yesterday and expecting the same today.

Open house from 1PM to 3PM and got someone driving up from Seattle to buy my six original Space Needle chairs.  Purchased those at auction 30 years ago when they renovated the restaurant. A fun bit of history.

Nothing much happening out there - liberal heads are still melting down. How can you go through life with such a poor understanding of how it works.  People have been dumbed down to the point where they act like little children.  If they don't get their way, they bully people until they do.

The latest "talking point" is that the Supreme Court is illegitimate.  The Court is one of the three co-equal branches of government.  If you are going to posit that the Court is illegitimate, you then have to accept that the Presidency can be illegitimate too. Election fraud anyone?

Science project anyone?

Sweet little girl - from Canadian Broadcasting Company:

'She's perfect and she's beautiful': Frozen baby woolly mammoth discovered in Yukon gold fields
A perfect storm of events has led to a once-in-a-lifetime discovery for a gold miner, a First Nation, a veteran paleontologist and a territory.

"I don't know how to process it all right now, to be honest with you. It's amazing," said Dr. Grant Zazula, the Yukon government's paleontologist.

A little after noon on June 21, National Indigenous People's Day, a young miner working in Yukon's Eureka Creek, south of Dawson City, was digging up muck using a front end loader when he struck something.

He stopped and called his boss who went to see him right away.

When he arrived, Treadstone Mining's Brian McCaughan put a stop to the operation on the spot.

Within half an hour, Zazula received a picture of the discovery.

According to Zazula, the miner had made the "most important discovery in paleontology in North America."

It was a whole baby woolly mammoth, only the second one ever found in the world, and the first in North America.

"She has a trunk. She has a tail. She has tiny little ears. She has the little prehensile end of the trunk where she could use it to grab grass," said Zazula.

"She's perfect and she's beautiful."

Great photo - almost expect her to wake up, shake off the mud and start romping around.  Probably been through a few freeze/thaw cycles so no word (yet) on the quality of the genetic material - if they are able to do somatic cell nuclear transfer.  That would be very cool.

First showing of the house this morning in four hours.  Open house after that.
Lots of interest according to my listing agent.

Chicago's Wealthiest Man Pulls His $22 Billion Company from the City Following Crime Complaints, Will Relocate to DeSantis' Florida
Chicago’s wealthiest man is saying farewell to the Democrat-governed state of Illinois.

Hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin is moving his company to the state of Florida.

Griffin, whose net worth is almost $29 billion, announced that he had personally moved his residence from Illinois to the Republican-governed Sunshine State in a Thursday letter to his employees.

Griffin said that Florida would become the new primary home of his company, Citadel Securities. The investor touted Florida’s business environment.

While he didn’t reference crime in his letter to employees, Citadel officials said that it was a factor in the move.

They do not say which city in Florida but just for the hell of it, let's use Miami.
Time for another UHaul Index - Chicago to Miami and back again:

Yep - $903 more to rent a 10' box truck. More of them are leaving Chicago than Miami. And do not forget that this only looks at the subset of people who do their own moving in a rented truck. It ignores those who hire it out and those who move in a personal vehicle.

SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas says court should 'now reconsider' gay marriage and contraception in wake of Supreme Court decision to overrule Roe v Wade

    • Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas called on fellow jurists to overturn previous landmark rulings after the court nixed Roe v. Wade on Friday.
    • The changes, aired in a concurring opinion of the decision penned by Thomas, would see limits put on gay marriage, same-sex activity, and birth control access
    • It comes as the Supreme Court controversially elected to strike down Roe v. Wade, a nearly 50 year-old decision that allowed women to have abortions

A report from MSN (Microsoft News) published an inconvenient truth - unvaccinated people had fewer cases of "severe" COVID-19.  Needless to say, the link to the story redirects to the MSN Homepage.

See for yourself: https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/severe-covid-19-rare-in-unvaccinated-people-survey-reveals/ar-AAYr5fF

Fortunately, The Internet Archive remembers:

Severe COVID-19 ‘Rare’ In Unvaccinated People, Survey Reveals
A survey has found that people who did not get the vaccine had a lower rate of suffering severe COVID-19 amid the pandemic.

The survey uploaded to the preprint server ResearchGate presented data from more than 18,500 respondents from the “Control Group” project with more than 300,000 overall participants. An analysis revealed that compared to those who got jabbed, unvaccinated people reported fewer hospitalizations.

The international survey also found that the unvaccinated people from more than 175 countries were more likely to self-care to prevent and manage COVID-19 infection. They used natural products like vitamin D, vitamin C, zinc, quercetin, and drugs, such as ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.

The paper can be found here: Self-reported outcomes, choices and discrimination among a global COVID-19 unvaccinated cohort

Biden's mental facilities are not that good these days.  He uses cheat sheets to guide him through press conferences and meetings.  Zero problem with this.  Everyone has notes and refers to them.  Makes a lot of sense as forgetting something would not be good.

*Resident Biden's sheets however, are something you would give to a 4-year old.
From the New York Post:

‘YOU take YOUR seat’: Very specific cheat sheet reminds Biden how to act
President Biden on Thursday inadvertently held up a comically detailed cheat sheet prepared by his staff instructing the gaffe-prone leader of the free world to “take YOUR seat” and to limit his remarks to “2 minutes.”

A photographer snapped an image of the document when Biden held it up backward at a meeting with wind-industry executives, which he attended after skipping his administration’s morning meeting with oil companies about combatting record gas prices.

The prepared instructions for Biden — titled “Offshore Wind Drop-By Sequence of Events” — tell Biden to “enter the Roosevelt Room and say hello to participants.”

Then, the paper says, “YOU take YOUR seat.”

The typed-up note says that after reporters arrive, “YOU give brief comments (2 minutes).”

When reporters depart, “YOU ask Liz Shuler, President, AFL-CIO, a question” and then “YOU thank participants” and “YOU depart.”

We are being "governed" by idiots in a bubble chamber and our "leaders" are immature bullies who lash out if they do not get their own way.

More at the site including a picture of the cheat sheet and 450+ comments. Some good reading there too...

This latest from Ken Paxton, Texas Attorney General:

San Antonio Election Fraudster Arrested for Widespread Vote Harvesting and Fraud
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton today announced the arrest of Rachel Rodriguez for election fraud, illegal voting, unlawfully assisting people voting by mail, and unlawfully possessing an official ballot. Each charge constitutes a felony under the Texas Election Code. Rodriguez was exposed in a Project Veritas video last fall while she engaged in vote harvesting leading up to the 2020 election. The Election Fraud Division of the Office of the Attorney General reviewed dozens of hours of unedited, raw footage, which led to this arrest. In an uncharacteristic moment of honesty, Rodriguez acknowledged on video that what she was doing is illegal and that she could go to jail for it. If convicted, Rodriguez could face up to 20 years in prison.

Yeah - she knew it was illegal and she still did it.  And there are two other stories (first, second):

AG Paxton Successfully Prosecutes Woman Who Pleads Guilty to 26 Felony Counts of Voter Fraud
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced his office’s latest election integrity prosecution in Victoria County. Monica Mendez of Port Lavaca pleaded guilty to 26 felony counts of voter fraud, including three counts of illegal voting, eight counts of election fraud, seven counts of assisting a voter to submit a ballot by mail, and eight counts of unlawful possession of a mail ballot.

Paxton Helps Secure Fair and Safe Elections for Gregg County
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that Shannon Brown and his wife, Marlena Jackson, each pleaded guilty to one count of election fraud, a Class A misdemeanor, for their role in illegal vote harvesting in the March 2018 Gregg County Democratic Primary election, where Brown was elected Gregg County Commissioner, Precinct 4 by just five votes.

North Korea reports outbreak of unidentified disease alongside COVID-19
North Korea has dispatched medical crews and epidemiological investigators to a province battling the outbreak of an intestinal disease, state media reported on Sunday.

At least 800 families suffering from what North Korea has only called an "acute enteric epidemic" have received aid in South Hwanghae Province so far.

Enteric refers to the gastrointestinal tract and South Korean officials say it may be cholera or typhoid.

The new outbreak, first reported on Thursday, puts further strain on the isolated country as it battles chronic food shortages and a wave of COVID-19 infections.

So true...

Excellent essay from Sundance:

Zelenskyy Officially Bans Ukraine’s Largest Opposition Political Party
The definition of the modern “western democracy” in Ukraine is increasingly showcased as the goal for modern totalitarian government.

The inflection point away from representative democracy was first evident in the way COVID-19 was leveraged by “western” governments in the U.S, Canada, Australia and the European Union. Totalitarian minded leaders within those democracies, including governors in the United States, began operating without any elected representative feedback. Everything shifted from legislative representation to a system of dictatorial fiats with no opposition allowed in the arbitrary rules and regulations.

From forced lockdowns and arbitrary determinations of “essential workers,” various western government leaders were drunk on their new power. Those who were already predisposed to the benefits of communism (aka Justin Trudeau) and various shades therein, dropped all pretense of believing there were limits to their power and began dispatching opposition views.

It did not take long before we saw things escalate into lockdowns, travel bans, forced business closures, quarantine camps and ultimately forced vaccinations and checkpoints for transit. Collectively, none of these efforts ever went before a representative body for debate and consent; they were done through brute force and power of a top-down centralized authoritarian government. It did not seem as if most people realized how ‘western democracy’ changed overnight through the use of the pandemic.

What we see taking place in Ukraine is an outcropping of this newly defined ‘western democracy.’ Using a declaration of emergency power, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has now banned all opposition voices, taken control of broadcast media and now today banned the second largest political party in Ukraine. [Radio Free Europe Link]

Ukraine’s Opposition Platform For Life (OPPL) was the second largest political force in the Ukraine Parliament. As of today, the party is officially banned by a Ukrainian court at the request of the Zelenskyy Ministry of Justice. All assets, funds and property belonging to OPPL have been seized and transferred to the state.

“The court satisfied the claims of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine: the activities of the Political party Opposition Platform – For Life were banned; the funds and other assets of the party, its regional, city, district organizations, primary organizations and other structural entities were transferred to the ownership of the state,” the statement reads.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, the Cabinet of Ministers proposes to the Verkhovna Rada that the ban on the party be the basis for depriving the mandate of members of local councils. (link)

That one line: "have been seized and transferred to the state" gives me the chills.  We are not heading in a good direction and history will excoriate those in power.  This is not a good time for mankind.  Crazy times. So many narcissists in DC concerned about their "legacy".  These scrotes only legacy will be cinders and ash.

Good news from Breitbart:

Populism Rising: Le Pen’s National Rally Makes Historic Gains as Macron Loses Parliamentary Majority
Roundly rebuking his neo-liberal globalist political philosophy, the French public has refused to grant President Emmanuel Macron a parliamentary majority as Marine Le Pen’s populists on the right and an ecological alliance on the left surged at the ballot box to strip the once self-described ‘Jupitarean’ leader of his ability to govern France firmly.

Just under two months after securing a second term as President of France, Emmanuel Macron and his Ensemble! coalition have suffered a disastrous result in the final round of voting in the parliamentary elections on Sunday, securing just 245 seats, far short of the 289 necessary to maintain a governing majority and at the low end of polling projections leading up to the vote.

The night’s true victor — at least in terms of exceeding expectations — was perhaps Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN), which saw a surprising result of 89 candidates elected to the National Assembly, the most in the history of the party, including its predecessor National Front. Le Pen’s party, which previously only boasted eight representatives, will now have enough representation to form a parliamentary group, providing a major boost to the party in terms of prominence in the national discussion and the ability to fundraise.

We The People is not limited to the United States - it is a human demand.

We do not tolerate the yoke of tyranny.

A fun Engineer story

I love engineers but sometimes they can be a little too literal.
One such story from the wonderful Not Always Right:

And He’s An Engineer?!
I developed both a website and an intranet solution that approximately fifty civil engineers log into in order to submit files, reports, and other internal reports.

One of the engineers called me.

Engineer: “The solution you developed is absolutely worthless! I can’t even log in!”

I had sent a very detailed set of instructions in a PDF file, something I thought was absolutely idiot-proof.

After a step-by-step set of instructions over the phone, he resorted to calling one of the secretaries to see if she could log herself in.

As soon as she sat down in front of his computer, I heard her giggling, followed by bursts of laughter by several people surrounding his station. It was minutes before I could get someone to reply on the phone.

Turns out he was trying to log in on the PDF file’s screenshot.

I worked for an ocean engineering company for a couple of years.  I can so see this happening.

Get a load of our clueless governor - from The Post Millenial:

WA Gov. predicts summer full of 'blackouts, destruction, and death'
Governor Jay Inslee (D-Washington) sent an eerie letter to his supporters on Monday predicting that they are in for a summer of "blackouts, destruction, and death" over the alleged climate crisis.

The letter was sent directly after Gov. Inslee gave tacit support for destroying four dams along the Snake River which account for 8 percent of Washington's annual electricity generation, Environmental Director of Washington Policy Center Todd Meyers reports.

"Last week, @GovInslee gave implicit support to destroying the Snake River dams and 8% of Washington's electricity generation. Today he sent an email warning about electricity shortages this summer. #waleg," Myers tweeted Monday.

And the numbers to back up your narrative?

... crickets ...

This is not leadership.  Inslee is highly credentialed but he is not that smart.

Channeling King Solomon there - from the London Daily Mail:

Lia Thomas and other transgender athletes are banned by world swimming's governing body FINA from competing against women: Separate 'open category' will be set up

    • FINA, world swimming's governing body, adopted a new policy to prohibit transgender women from competing in women's races
    • Under the new rules a transgender women can only compete in women's races if they have completed their transition by age 12
    • They will then have to prove that they are continuously suppressing their testosterone levels
    • A separate open category will be created for swimming competitions in future
    • The decision came after the International Olympic Committee left it up to individual sports federations to develop rules about transgender athletes
    • A task force concluded that biological women 'cannot compete' against anyone who went through male puberty who will have higher testosterone levels
    • The rule will prevent Lia Thomas from competing against women in international events leading up to the Olympics

There 'ya go.  Puberty is when the body starts differentiating so is an excellent demarcation point.  Very good call.

Hopefully, the more people that get indicted, the more momentum will build.
From the Gateway Pundit:

Minnesota Senate Ethics Committee Unanimously Votes to Investigate Democrat on Voter Fraud Allegations
A Minnesota Senate ethics committee, comprised of conservatives and liberals, voted unanimously to investigate Democratic Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) member, Senator Omar Fateh for voter fraud.

Fateh allegedly tried to secure taxpayer funding for a nonprofit that helped his campaign.

Fateh’s brother-in-law was found guilty for lying to a grand jury.

“The subcommittee decided Wednesday to formally investigate Fateh for his possible involvement in a voter fraud scheme and an incident in which he tried to secure taxpayer funding for a nonprofit that helped his campaign. The subcommittee also decided without objection to issue subpoenas, bringing in witnesses to share what they know”

Crap like this is standard operating proceedure for these people.
Cheat, cheat and cheat some more. No morals, no ethics.  Just a grab for power.

Looks like the mouse is taking it in the chops...  From Deadline:

Dinosaurs Toss ‘Lightyear’ Out Of Orbit At Weekend Box Office As ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ Feasts On $68M+ 4-Day – Sunday AM Update
Blame the fact that it doesn’t appeal to girls, blame Disney+ for stealing family moviegoers, blame the lack of an ensemble Toy Story cast, heck, blame everything as Disney/Pixar’s Lightyear didn’t do its magic by internal studio or industry standards this weekend with $51M, close to a third below its lowest $70M pre-release projection.

Interesting in that the article runs all over the place trying to explain the poor weekend take.  Not one mention of the lesbian characters or the WOKE-ness in the story line.  The majority of people out there: #1) - don't give a flying fsck about other people's sexual orientation;  #2) - regardless, do not want to have it shoved in their faces and #3) - do not want it as content in a family film.

Simple as that. Wonder if/when the groomers at Pixar will wake up and realize that they are in a very very small minority and not the center of everyone's universe. Narcissism is considered a mental disorder, not a virtue to be amplified.

Voter fraud? Case in point - from the office of the Texas Attorney General:

AG Paxton Successfully Prosecutes Woman Who Pleads Guilty to 26 Felony Counts of Voter Fraud
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced his office’s latest election integrity prosecution in Victoria County. Monica Mendez of Port Lavaca pleaded guilty to 26 felony counts of voter fraud, including three counts of illegal voting, eight counts of election fraud, seven counts of assisting a voter to submit a ballot by mail, and eight counts of unlawful possession of a mail ballot. Mendez ran a vote-harvesting operation on behalf of a subsidized housing corporation in order to influence the outcome of a utility board election.

Not just fraud - felony fraud. Like I said though, this is just the tip of the iceberg.  We need to roll these people up and make it painful.  They have nothing that we want so they have to cheat to hold their power.

Nothing much happening out there - heading out for coffee in a while.  Someone is coming by the house to purchase some furniture this afternoon.  Final push to get it emptied out.

Slow news day...

We all know about it - he was riding with toe clips (stupid move at his age) and his foot got stuck.
From the NY Post:

Joe Biden falls off bike as he rides near Delaware beach home

President Trump had this observation - five seconds of pure video comedy gold.

And America's Newspaper of Record has this worrying news:

Aides Worried Biden May Have Concussion As He Starts Speaking Coherently
Aides are fearful President Biden may have suffered a severe concussion from his bike wreck this morning, as he has suddenly begun speaking coherently.

"He got into the presidential limo and said verbatim, 'I think rapidly adding trillions of dollars in liquidity could be accelerating inflation!'—that's when I knew something was wrong," said Secret Service agent Paul Mancuso. "If he doesn't start slurring his speech and mumbling incoherently soon, we'll have to get him to a doctor."

Reporters on the scene of the crash said Biden could be heard screaming 'Putiiiin!' as his bike toppled sideways. Dr. Jill Biden immediately rushed to her husband, prepared to give a lecture on education. "I'm ok, I'm ok!" said Biden, quickly getting back to his feet. "In fact, I was just thinking how selecting people for nationally significant roles based on intersectionality as opposed to merit will likely lead to harming minorities due to leadership incompetence," said Biden to a stunned crowd. "What? Why is everyone staring at me?"

More at the last site.

A double benefit as these are usually the lowest-performing workers.  You are hired to benefit the shareholders.  Not for anything else.  If you seek to change the corporate culture, this is not productive and needs to be stopped aggressively so that others do not get the same idea.  The object of a business is not to go broke (as in: get woke, go broke)

Elon Musk knows this and he took action - from Reuters:

SpaceX fires at least five over letter critical of Elon Musk
Private rocket company SpaceX fired at least five employees after it found they had drafted and circulated a letter criticizing founder Elon Musk and urging executives to make the firm's culture more inclusive, two people familiar with the matter said.

The good news is that other corporations are doing this as well - from the London Daily Mail:

CEO of crypto firm Kraken offers woke workers four months severance pay to QUIT after warning staff 'being offended doesn't make you harmed' - and 30 take up his offer

    • Kraken CEO Jesse Powell issued the new policy in a company memo this week
    • Warned staff to stop accusing each other of being 'toxic', 'hateful', or 'racist'
    • Powell is offering staff who are unhappy with the rules four months severance
    • They have until Monday to decide, and 1% of 3,000 workers have taken the offer

Good way to do it.  Give them a four-month cushion and get rid of them.  1% have taken the offer.  3,000 employees so we are looking at 30 troublemakers.  The company is not going to fail because of their absence.  In fact, it will do much better (see my opening thesis).

Jeff Childers writes the excellent Coffee & Covid morning newsletter and he had this to say:

Yesterday, in a short note, I reassured liberal C&C readers noting that to me, we are all on the same team — whatever you want to call it. Surprisingly, that remark generated the majority of yesterday’s comments. After some thought, I’m betting it resonated so much because it reflects a broader social realignment.

Someone commented that the labels “republican” and “democrat” don’t even matter anymore. They meant a lot of republicans are legacy RINOs who supported mandates and, rather than being principled and values-driven, are rudderless voids following the same corporate-media playbook as democrats.

I generally agree with that, but it’s even bigger. There was a halcyon time before 2020 when we could afford to think of the world in terms like “republicans versus democrats versus libertarians versus greens.” Those traditional parties are gone now, even if most folks can’t see it yet. Now, there are only two teams: human beings and globalist kleptocrats.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a “republican” or a “democrat.” Either way you lose, badly, if the WEF/WHO/UN/CDC/FDA/NIH/WB/Gates/Soros team wins. Unfortunately, and I really mean it’s unfortunate, the democrat party is now 100% owned by the WEF+ team. Republicans are a mixed bag; and we still have a viable chance to replace a lot of the bad Liz Cheney-like ones. That’s why the Republicans are our last, best hope.

Replacement won’t fix the democrat party right now. It can’t. There’s no bench of pro-freedom democrat candidates left anywhere to replace the current ones with. And even if they did pop up somewhere, the machine would snap online and grind them into bits.

Call it what you want, but we’re all on the same team now. Some people just don’t know it yet, but they will, hopefully before it’s too late. I think it WILL happen; I think it is already happening. It’s just hard to tell because corporate media has been WEFfed and they don’t report on their own losses.

So very true - subscribe to his newsletter.  You will not be unhappy with his daily reports.

An excuse to implement draconian restrictions on its citizenry - from Vice:

Chinese Officials Are Weaponizing COVID Health Tracker to Block Protests
Chinese bank depositors planning a protest about their frozen funds saw their health code mysteriously turn red and were stopped from traveling to the site of a rally, confirming fears that China’s vast COVID-tracking system could be weaponized as a powerful tool to stifle dissent.

A red health code designated the would-be protesters as suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients, limiting their movement and access to public transportation. Their rallies in the central Henan province this week were thwarted as some were forced into quarantine and others detained by police.

A 38-year-old software engineer was among hundreds who could not access their savings at four rural banks since mid-April. She had planned to travel from her home in Jiangxi province to Zhengzhou, Henan’s capital city, to join a group petition this week to demand her money back. But her health code turned from green to red shortly after she bought a train ticket on Sunday. She said a nucleic test for COVID she took the night before came back negative and her hometown has not reported any infection recently.

How quickly it changed from "for your benefit" to "all the better to control you" - the word you are looking for is Tyranny and we are about a year from implementing this here.  The 'elite' need a second pandemic to drive it home.  Monkeypox is proving to be too little, too late and the wrong demographic.

Turns out that conservative Glen Beck has taken up painting and he is really good at it.
artnet.news unleashed quite the biased report (scroll down - they did not give a link):

Art Industry News: We Regret to Inform You That Glenn Beck Is an Artist Now, and His Paintings Are Just as Bizarre as You Suspected
Glenn Beck Is a Painter Now – We regret to inform you that the latest right-wing figure to reinvent himself as an artist is Glenn Beck (though he rejects the label “artist”). The conspiracy theorist and political commentator picked up painting during the pandemic and is now displaying his work at Park City Fine Arts in Utah. Proceeds from the sales will fund Beck’s charitable work. Subjects include Teddy Roosevelt, a 1936 boxing match between Joe Louis and Max Schmeling, and, um, depictions of Jesus Christ as a prisoner in Mao’s China and a concentration camp. “I don’t want to make [art] about politics,” Beck said. “This history counts to all of us.”

Classic logical falacy - an ad hominem attack.  They can not find fault with his painting which is actually quite good so they resort to calling him names. "conspiracy theorist" ???  really???  These days, a conspiracy theorist is only a few months away from a spolier aleart.  They do link to this article at Deseret News which is unbiased and actually shows some of his work.  The Deseret News story does not tell you what to think; they present the facts, Glen and a few of his paintings and let you decide for yourself:

A dispatch from inside Glenn Beck’s art show
Glenn Beck is dressed comfortably — light-colored jeans and a T-shirt that reads “Love Thy Neighbor,” underneath a dress shirt left unbuttoned to add a hint of formality. This is Beck’s art show, which took place in Park City over the weekend, and the man of the hour dresses as he pleases.

Beck isn’t sporting a hat tonight, though he’s accustomed to wearing his many: radio host, author, controversial pundit. But don’t call him an artist. I made that mistake, and Beck was swift to correct me.

“I don’t consider myself an artist,” Beck says, as we stand in a room with two dozen of his original oil paintings flanking us.

Here are two of his paintings - both of Jesus.  First being put through a Communist Chinese "struggle session" - being indoctrinated, the second as a Jew in a National Socialist concentration camp.

Working out just as planned.  Oh? What? You expected it to be cheaper?  Silly prole...
What part of "necessarily skyrocket" did you fail to grasp?

From The Dallas Morning News:

Texans are getting stuck with high electricity bills
With such pain at the pump right now and our struggling economy, it has been easy to miss what is happening with Texas electricity prices, which, unfortunately, is even worse. While gasoline prices are about 60% higher than a year ago, retail electricity rates are up even more, about 70% over this time last year.

They are a liberal news outlet so they are quick to blame the Russians and Ukraine when in reality, Biden campaigned on getting us off fossil fuels and during his first day in office, he signed: "Executive Order on Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis" which set us back 20 years and included this gem: "Sec. 6.  Revoking the March 2019 Permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline"  The oil still moves from Canada to the refineries in the US but it does so now by railroad.  This costs about six times more than a pipeline.  Profits? Warren Buffet and Blackrock. Biden's buddies.

We will own nothing and we will be happy.  Riiiggggghhhhhhtttt...

Civil War #2 has been talked about increasingly over the last ten years.  It is happening now in some theaters. Irons in the Fire offers this quote attributed to Soviet Dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Solzhenitsyn grew up under communism.  He knows it inside and out.  His voice is a warning to We The People about the deep-state:

"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of men who wanted to be left alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.

The moment the men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people's door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy... but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the men who just wanted to be left alone."

Word...

Historical look at a pivotal point in the advance of communism in the USA.  Just think - a concerted round of mockery and ridicule (or a low-yield tactical nuke) could have resulted in quite a different outcome.  From Chris Queen writing at PJ Media:

60 Years Ago This Week: the Birth of the New Left
In June 1962, the radical organization Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) held a retreat in Port Huron, Mich. The powerful United Auto Workers (UAW) union owned the facility where the retreat took place and bankrolled the retreat itself.

The SDS had grown dissatisfied with the establishment left and sought to usher in what they called “participatory democracy” characterized by action rather than debate. On Friday, June 15, the SDS issued a manifesto that clocked in at a whopping 25,700 words and came to be known as the Port Huron Statement.

Tom Hayden, a core SDS member, wrote the first draft of the statement.

Despite its immense length, the statement laid out what the SDS saw as the primary problems with the U.S. in the early paragraphs.

When we were kids the United States was the wealthiest and strongest country in the world; the only one with the atom bomb, the least scarred by modern war, an initiator of the United Nations that we thought would distribute Western influence throughout the world. Freedom and equality for each individual, government of, by, and for the people–these American values we found good, principles by which we could live as men. Many of us began maturing in complacency.

As we grew, however, our comfort was penetrated by events too troubling to dismiss. First, the permeating and victimizing fact of human degradation, symbolized by the Southern struggle against racial bigotry, compelled most of us from silence to activism. Second, the enclosing fact of the Cold War, symbolized by the presence of the Bomb, brought awareness that we ourselves, and our friends, and millions of abstract “others” we knew more directly because of our common peril, might die at any time. We might deliberately ignore, or avoid, or fail to feel all other human problems, but not these two, for these were too immediate and crushing in their impact, too challenging in the demand that we as individuals take the responsibility for encounter and resolution.

The statement decried politicians who insisted that the U.S. would “muddle through” in its current state and claimed to represent a generation “imbued with energy” to dramatically change the world through non-violent civil disobedience and persistent activism. Dr. Albert Mohler calls the Port Huron Statement “one of the most important political events of the 20th century. But frankly, it wasn’t recognized as such at the time.” It was the birth of what we now call the New Left.

If a New Left emerged in 1962, that means there had to be an Old Left. The Old Left was dynastic — think Roosevelts and Kennedys — and aristocratic. More importantly, it was anti-communist.

Their hearts were in the right place but they did not study their history and they allowed themselves to be corrupted from within.  Their enemy was not conservatism, it was the nascent deep-state.  Over the intervening 60 years, instead of Questioning Authority, they morphed into Authority.  They became their enemy - The Man.  Now? They seek to keep us down.

Interesting story but it has faded from the mainstream media.  Quickly - a big splash for a day and then ...crickets...

Looks like he is now working for the United States Department of Agriculture:

Q: Will there be food shortages?
A: There are currently no nationwide shortages of food, although in some cases the inventory of certain foods at your grocery store might be temporarily low before stores can restock. Food production and manufacturing are widely dispersed throughout the U.S. and there are currently no wide-spread disruptions reported in the supply chain.

USDA and the Food and Drug Administration are closely monitoring the food supply chain for any shortages in collaboration with industry and our federal and state partners. We are in regular contact with food manufacturers and grocery stores.

Compare and contrast with the empty shelves at Walmart...

I really hope that nobody in the Biden regeme gets the brilliant idea to impose price fixing on food. That will be spectacular to watch as it blows up in their faces but it will mean starvation for most and the usual obligatory riots in the urban areas this summer.

I have been seeing rumblings about this - Sensing Online lays it out in living color:

Get ready for the catastrophic DEF shortage
DEF is the acronym for Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Every diesel truck that has been made since 2010 is required to use it. It's a product made of 32.5% urea (made from natural gas) and 37.5% de-ionized water. DEF is kept in a separate tank in the truck and the trucks using it will not start unless the DEF system is working properly. There are regulators inside the engine that mix DEF with the diesel exhaust to reduce diesel emissions. That's the purpose of DEF.

A bit more:

Urea is also an essential ingredient in fertilizer. Yet despite these production numbers, the United States is the world's third-largest importer of urea

Yeah - the Biden administration has screwed us over yet again. The people in DC are running a clusterfuck of epic proportions and they will only listen to those "experts" who have the proper credentials and who promote the same narrative.
Facts not allowed - don't even try.

Much much more at the site - trucking is going to get a lot more expensive.  A lot more.  The keystone of my plans for moving have been the two Connex boxes I purchased.  Fill them up and have them trucked to North Carolina.  I am budgeting about $3-5K for that.  Looks like I might need to budget as much as $20K.

Interesting long screed:   Blaylock RL. COVID UPDATE: What is the truth?. Surg Neurol Int 22-Apr-2022;13:167

COVID UPDATE: What is the truth?
The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the most manipulated infectious disease events in history, characterized by official lies in an unending stream led by government bureaucracies, medical associations, medical boards, the media, and international agencies. We have witnessed a long list of unprecedented intrusions into medical practice, including attacks on medical experts, destruction of medical careers among doctors refusing to participate in killing their patients and a massive regimentation of health care, led by non-qualified individuals with enormous wealth, power and influence.

For the first time in American history a president, governors, mayors, hospital administrators and federal bureaucrats are determining medical treatments based not on accurate scientifically based or even experience based information, but rather to force the acceptance of special forms of care and “prevention”—including remdesivir, use of respirators and ultimately a series of essentially untested messenger RNA vaccines. For the first time in history medical treatment, protocols are not being formulated based on the experience of the physicians treating the largest number of patients successfully, but rather individuals and bureaucracies that have never treated a single patient—including Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, EcoHealth Alliance, the CDC, WHO, state public health officers and hospital administrators.

The media (TV, newspapers, magazines, etc), medical societies, state medical boards and the owners of social media have appointed themselves to be the sole source of information concerning this so-called “pandemic”. Websites have been removed, highly credentialed and experienced clinical doctors and scientific experts in the field of infectious diseases have been demonized, careers have been destroyed and all dissenting information has been labeled “misinformation” and “dangerous lies”, even when sourced from top experts in the fields of virology, infectious diseases, pulmonary critical care, and epidemiology. These blackouts of truth occur even when this information is backed by extensive scientific citations from some of the most qualified medical specialists in the world. Incredibly, even individuals, such as Dr. Michael Yeadon, a retired ex-Chief Scientist, and vice-president for the science division of Pfizer Pharmaceutical company in the UK, who charged the company with making an extremely dangerous vaccine, is ignored and demonized. Further, he, along with other highly qualified scientists have stated that no one should take this vaccine.

And yeah - in this vein for almost 80 more paragraphs and several bullet lists.  All backed up with 74 links to hard data.  Covid is out there.  It is something to be careful with.  It is not a killer pandemic (unless you live in an NY State Retirement home or have a pre-existing co-morbidity)  Covid was a useful tool for the globalists to flex their muscles and for pharma to make a lot of money.  That is all.  End of story.

Remember the Swine flu epidemic of 2009?  Worse than Covid with 270K hospitalizations and over 12K deaths (back then, they were still counting deaths FROM H1N1 then, not deaths WITH as we did with Covid — big difference...)  This happened under Obama's watch and was bungled. Fauci was in the limelight.

Big weather in Ohio

Was seeing that they had over 280K customers without power after 24 hours.  Had to be a storm.  Yep...

From FOX Weather:

Derecho knocks out power to more than 500,000 from Midwest to Ohio Valley
The National Weather Service has confirmed that a powerful cluster of thunderstorms known as a derecho was responsible for downing trees and knocking out power to more than a half-million Americans from the Midwest to the Ohio Valley on Monday.

In order for the event to be classified as a derecho, the swath of straight-line wind damage caused by the storms needs to cover a distance of at least 400 miles and include wind gust reports stronger than 58 mph.

It also must include several well-separated wind gusts stronger than 75 mph.

Here is the power outage map for this morning - 18 hours after the event:

Ace of Spades has the skinny on gasoline prices - the people in DC are beyond stupid
Beyond clueless:

Joe Biden Shut Domestic Oil Production Down. Now, With His Presidency Dying Faster Than His Dying Brain, He Begs US Companies to Start Drilling Again-- and Finds Out That Will Take Years
Dear Diary: Today I found out it's a lot easier to shut down domestic oil production with a series of executive orders and policy directives than it is to put oil back in production again.

Via Twitchy, the Financial Times discovers that when Pop-Pop burned the US's domestic production capacity down, he didn't have a plan for starting it back up again.

He just thought that "green energy" would come on line because we needed it to.

And from Atomic Fungus:

There isn't a magical valve you can turn. Producing oil from shale is a technologically complex process, and it takes men and equipment to make it happen. Because the Go Brandon regime issued all those executive orders meant to strangle the production of oil, production sites were shut down. People were laid off. Leased equipment was returned to its owners; surplus equipment was sold.

The banner year of 2019 when the USA barely started to become a net exporter of oil did not happen because President Donald Trump figured out we needed oil and said, "Okay, you guys get going, now." That happened because right after he was inaugurated in 2017 he issued the executive orders that made it possible for the USA to produce all that oil. It took more than two years for that to bear fruit; and in fact what Trump did was just to put icing on the cake, one that had been started by George Bush and--whether due to ignorance or indifference--was (mostly) left the hell alone by Boss Tweek.

Go Brandon comes along and smashes the whole works with his bullshit--and then, when it's politically expedient, thinks that they can just throw a switch and start pumping oil again? The various people comprising the Go Brandon regime are fucking morons, and I think this proves quite handily what Sarah Hoyt is always saying, about how they don't know the first damned thing about how anything is actually produced in this country.

Exactly.  The people making these decisions are highly credentialed but they are not educated and they certainly are not smart or well informed.

Cash is king - the market

Sure, holding cash will net you a 15% "haircut" but this is a pittance compared with stocks these days.
From CNBC:

Dow slumps 600 points to start the week, S&P 500 falls back into bear market territory
Stocks sold off Monday, pushing the S&P 500 to a fresh 2022 low and back into bear market territory, as recession fears grew ahead of a key Federal Reserve meeting this week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 760 points, or about 2.1%, the S&P 500 fell 3% and the Nasdaq Composite tumbled 3.7%.

Those percentages are just for the one day.  Add these to the dismal last week and you are seeing some serious losses.

California.  The name says it all.  Don Surber has a good back-room analysis:

California is too communist for Red China
Red China announced it is closing its pork facility in California citing too many regulations and taxes.

The facility is owned and operated by Smithfield Foods of Smithfield, Virginia, which in turn is owned by Red China.

The company announced, "Smithfield Foods, Inc. today announced that it will cease all harvest and processing operations in Vernon, California in early 2023 and, at the same time, align its hog production system by reducing its sow herd in its Western region. The company will decrease its sow herd in Utah and is exploring strategic options to exit its farms in Arizona and California. Smithfield harvests only company-owned hogs in Vernon. Smithfield will service customers in California with its Farmer John brand and other brands and products from existing facilities in the Midwest.

"Smithfield is taking these steps due to the escalating cost of doing business in California.

More at the site. I remember when they were called Smithfield Hams and their hams were top of the line.  Something you would spring for for a special occasion - an Easter or Christmas feast.  Now?  They are just another generic "food-product" manufacturer owned by some entity from another country.

More at the site.  Don advises that there will be a drop in pork prices as they close out their herds but then prices (and their profits) will increase.  Pork freezes really well...  Just sayin...

The truth on the ground is a lot different from what is being presented by our media.
Quelle surprize...

From Karl Denninger at Market Ticker:

Ukraine Has LOST, And So Have We
I predicted this, and now its happened.

Oh yeah, it hasn't been "recognized" yet, but it will be.

There are reports that Zelinsky is drafting women. You don't do that unless you're out of fighting-age men who can actually fight. Note that the soyman who runs away or spends his time buttfucking and/or preening can't actually fight, and you must have people who can. When you even contemplate drafting women you've made a statement that you're out of competent fighting men. This is similar to what the NVA did after Tet and what Iran did, but both grabbed literal boys, shoved rifles in their hands and sent them out to die. Which they did, in size. The war was over in that case both times, but not yet admitted. In the former case we literally walked away from a win thanks to Cronkite and the stupidity of the American people buying his bullshit. Thus it is here, except this time its just money, much of which has been siphoned off by defense contractors and the families of politicians -- like fuckface Biden.

Russia has employed a nasty and very effective strategy which our so-called "punditry" has entirely failed to understand. Putin's folks lob artillery shells at the other guys; anything within 10-20 miles of their weapons gets pulverized. With satellite and UAV targeting and fire direction these are wildly effective -- and cheap. He can do this all day long for almost no money. He blasts away until your force is cut in half, creating a no-go zone where if you stick your head up to try to return fire it gets blown up and then slowly does a pincer on one of the pieces, making the perimeter ever-smaller until they either surrender or are all dead. Then he goes after the next one, and so on.

But but but - sanctions...

At the same time the so-called Russian Sanctions have blown up spectacularly in the western world's face. Russia now has a stronger currency than it did before the war we instigated began. Oil and Natural Gas, never mind things like fertilizer, are nice and expensive which suits Putin just fine. He has negotiated long term interchange with China for both and is building out the capacity to wildly increase same. Europe is fucked down the road as a result and in the meantime they got nothing for all these "sanctions."

And our chickens coming home to roost:

For that matter so are we. We've sequestered our inflationary deficit spending overseas via the China/US (and other nations, including India) trade deficit for the last two decades. That's over and will never come back because none of the nations that we were doing it with have any reason to allow it ever again and they don't need to. Not a single member of the Fed or other "economic punditry" has said one word about this although I sure as Hell have. At the same time Russia is shipping oil to these nations who then cross-ship it back, some refined first, and there's absolutely no way to do anything about that since we're incapable of sanctioning either without instantly detonating our supply chains, offshored labor or both. As a result we can no longer spend in deficit without it reflecting back into inflation which means the "free ride" gave has been terminated and while this was always eventually going to end we did this to ourselves and thus the inflation you're seeing and will continue to see was and is caused directly by our policies and our government.

Thus the only way to stop the inflation is to stop deficit spending -- all of it -- right now.

Yeah - stoping deficit spending is needed but the current crop of deep-state minions will never do it.

Time to hunker down and refocus our priorities. Cultivate local food supplies.  Cultivate a strong community. Get the hell out of the cities.  It is not going to get better for quite a while.

Say it isn't so...  From Zero Hedge:

20% Of Pandemic Unemployment Payments Were Improper: GAO
About one in five unemployment insurance dollars paid out during the Covid-19 pandemic went to people who didn't qualify for the benefits, according to a report issued this week by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO).

At the same time it spotlighted the fiscal disaster, the congressional watchdog added the country's unemployment insurance (UI) system to its list of federal programs at "high risk" for waste, fraud, abuse and mismanagement.

To underscore the severity of the situation, the high-risk label was added outside the agency's regular biennial schedule for making such designations. “The widespread problems plaguing the unemployment insurance system are extremely troubling,” said GAO head Gene L. Dodaro.

My guess?  40% if not over 50% fraud. No consequences for the people who approved the bennies. Handing out the free government cheese. Fire them all. Make sure that the top 10% fraudsters get to spend at least a year in jail - "to encourage the others"

Well crap - RIP Peter Lamborn Wilson

From The New York Times:

Peter Lamborn Wilson, Advocate of ‘Poetic Terrorism,’ Dies at 76
Peter Lamborn Wilson, a counterculture intellectual, anarchist, poet, musicologist and utopian who coined the term “temporary autonomous zone,” which became a cri de coeur for the organizers behind both Burning Man and Occupy Wall Street — as well as for ravers, cyberpunks and other late-20th-century antiestablishmentarians — died on May 23 at his home in Saugerties, N.Y. He was 76.

The cause was heart failure, said Jim Fleming, his publisher.

Mr. Wilson’s book “T.A.Z.: The Temporary Autonomous Zone, Ontological Anarchy, Poetic Terrorism,” was a slim volume first published by Autonomedia, Mr. Fleming’s company, in 1991. Mr. Wilson wrote it under a pseudonym, Hakim Bey. (He liked to pretend that his made-up alter ego was a real person.)

The book’s central premise was that one could create one’s own stateless society — the goal of anarchy — with simple and poetic acts like creating public art and communal exercises like dinner parties. It quickly acquired a cult following, particularly among those who frequented the aisles of alternative bookstores looking for inspiration on how to sidestep or disrupt the capitalist mainstream.

He was one of the original culture jammers.  Unfortunately, a lot of the pantie-fa crowd are paying lip-service to his writings but they totally miss the point.  Big difference from what Mr. Bey was promoting.  He was one of the good guys.

Classic DeSantis - perfect response

From NBC News:

DeSantis weighs ordering child protective services to investigate parents who take kids to drag shows
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suggested Wednesday that he might urge the state's child protective services to investigate parents who take their children to drag shows.

When asked by reporters whether he would support proposed legislation from a Florida state representative that would punish parents who take their children to such performances, the governor said he has asked his staff to look into the idea.

"We have child protective statutes on the books," the governor said. "We have laws against child endangerment."

“It used to be kids would be off-limits. Used to be everybody agreed with that,” DeSantis continued. “Now it just seems like there’s a concerted effort to be exposing kids more and more to things that are not age appropriate.”

So glad that we are moving out of WA State.  Things are getting really bad.  Evil. Corrupt.

From the London Times:

Ministers quietly abandon ‘green crap’ as focus shifts to food security
Boris Johnson has scaled back plans to rewild the country as the government retreats from the green agenda to focus on the cost-of-living crisis.

Ministers last year announced a post-Brexit scheme that would pay farmers up to £800 million a year — a third of the farming budget — to transform agricultural land into nature-rich forests, coastal wetlands, peatlands and wildflower meadows.

But the fund, called the landscape recovery scheme, has been quietly slashed to just £50 million over three years, less than 1 per cent of the budget.

The policy change is a significant victory for the farming lobby, which had opposed diverting money from food production.

The rest of the article is behind a paywall.  Love the 'green crap' line - that is all that it is.  Cultural Marxism gussied up as science.  Glad to see them starting to focus on what is important.

Plausible.  It is going to happen one of these days.  From the London Daily Mail:

Google engineer warn the firm's AI is sentient: Suspended employee claims computer programme acts 'like a 7 or 8-year-old' and reveals it told him shutting it off 'would be exactly like death for me. It would scare me a lot'

    • Blake Lemoine, 41, a senior software engineer at Google has been testing Google's artificial intelligence tool called LaMDA
    • Following hours of conversations with the AI, Lemoine came away with the perception that LaMDA was sentient
    • After presenting his findings to company bosses, Google disagreed with him
    • Lemoine then decided to share his conversations with the tool online
    • He was put on paid leave by Google on Monday for violating confidentiality

The fact that he was put on paid leave speaks volumes.

A bit of truth from Chris Lynch:

From our own National Institutes of Health; National Library of Medicine:

COVID UPDATE: What is the truth?
Russell L. Blaylock
2022 Apr 22

The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the most manipulated infectious disease events in history, characterized by official lies in an unending stream lead by government bureaucracies, medical associations, medical boards, the media, and international agencies.

He continues for 80+ more paragraphs - all backed up with full footnotes, citations and links to corroborating data.  This was never a medical problem, this was a world control problem aided by the complicit media.  Instead of a Great Reset, we need a Great Awakening.  Now.

Busy as can be.  Taking a 20 minute snack break and then back to work for another couple of hours.

Final push on emptying out the house. Place looks pretty good 😆

Bad polling numbers from a dem stronghold - from Daily Caller:

Biden Slips Underwater In Massachusetts For The First Time
President Joe Biden is underwater in a state considered a lock for the Democratic Party, according to poll results published Thursday.

Fifty-five percent of Massachusetts residents disapprove of how Biden has handled his job as president and only 34% approve, according to the latest Civiqs poll.

Biden has had a consistent positive approval rating in the state since becoming president, making it the first time Biden’s disapproval numbers outweighed voters who approve, according to the polling, which has been conducted every month since April 2021. Only 43% of Massachusetts voters disapproved of Biden in Civiqs’ May poll, a ten-point difference between May and June.

Gee - maybe if the dems actually did their jobs and started representing We The People instead of kowtowing to the big-business lobbyists, they might gain some measure of public favor...

North Carolina is 34% Approve and 55% Disapprove
WA State is 41% Approve and 48% Disapprove.

Pushing you to eat bugs - from the Vancouver, BC City News:

Health Canada plan to require warning labels on ground beef, pork raises concerns
Health Canada is expected to start putting labels on products containing high levels of saturated fats, sugars, or sodium, but concerns are being raised as two of the most affordable sources of protein are not being granted exemptions.

The agency is not exempting ground beef or pork, a move Sylvain Charlebois, senior director of the Agri-food Analytics Lab at Dalhousie University, feels will deter people from buying those products in general.

They are trying everything in their arsenal to "nudge" people into not eating meat.  Bugs are a good source of protein and can be grown in a factory. Soylent Green - free for everyone.  This "nudge" is nutrition.  Other "nudges" are based on water use, pasture use, those nasty methane farts, etc...

Trust us - we know what is good for you.  Meanwhile, they fly private jets to Switzerland and dine on A5 Wagyu.

Satanic Temple Pulls Out of ‘Kid Friendly’ LGBQT Pride Event in Idaho After Backlash
The Satanic Temple was included on a list of participants of a “kid friendly” LGBTQ+ “Pride in the Park” event in Idaho—which includes a “drag dance party”—until Libs of Tik Tok publicized their involvement on Twitter.

A member of the Satanic group claimed to have pulled out of the Saturday event after several sponsors apparently dropped out due to their participation.

“I deeply apologize and regret to inform everyone that @TSTIdaho has decided to not be at the North Idaho Pride event “Pride in the Park” as a congregation,” tweeted Satanic Temple member “Rowan Astra” on Thursday. “There are several factors for this, including several sponsors seemingly dropping after learning of our appearance.”

I would rather have an honest Satanist as a neighbor than a member of the LGBQT community.  There is a huge difference between the perversions of the LGBQT activists and the "normal" people who happen to be sexually attracted to others of their gender.  One is a biological quirk.  The other is a mental pathology.  Go ahead and indulge yourself - that is what it is all about.  You.  Just don't expect me to buy in to your mental construct.

So which is it - biolabs in Ukraine

From this United States Department of Defense release:

Fact Sheet on WMD Threat Reduction Efforts with Ukraine, Russia and Other Former Soviet Union Countries
JUNE 9, 2022
The History and Accomplishments of U.S. Collaboration With the International Community to Reduce Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Threats in Ukraine, Russia, and Other Countries of the Former Soviet Union

This talks about the following:

Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the United States, along with allies, partners, and international organizations, has led cooperative efforts to reduce legacy threats from nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons left in the Soviet Union’s successor states, including Russia.  These cooperative threat reduction efforts have helped advance global peace and security, and have supported the global consensus that the world is safer when we work together to increase transparency and reduce the risks from weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs.

And their statement:

Ukraine has no nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons programs.  On March 11 and 18, 2022, United Nations (UN) High Representative for Disarmament Affairs Izumi Nakamitsu similarly stated that the UN is not aware of any biological weapons programs in Ukraine. Those comments were reiterated on May 13, 2022, by the UN Deputy High Representative for Disarmament Affairs.

BUT...  Scroll down to almost the end of the report and you will find this little gem:

The United States has also worked collaboratively to improve Ukraine’s biological safety, security, and disease surveillance for both human and animal health, providing support to 46 peaceful Ukrainian laboratories, health facilities, and disease diagnostic sites over the last two decades.  The collaborative programs have focused on improving public health and agricultural safety measures at the nexus of nonproliferation.

Forty six "peaceful Ukrainian laboratories"???  Seriously???  We are supposed to take this at face value and believe it.  We took over the Russian labs and dismantled them?  Any sensible reaction would have been to keep the research going if only to find out what the Russians had and to see what antidote and/or vaccines had been developed.

I was not born yesterday.  The idea that our government is lying to us is unsettling.  Shut up Prole.

Final push - listing the house in less than a week.  Thursday June 16th to be exact.

Feels good - the marriage that prompted the move was a huge mistake for both of us.  Looking back, I think the only reason for me being on the island was to meet Lisa.  Now that that was accomplished, it is time to get out of WA State and get on with our lives. Living on the water's edge was nice but not the be-all and end-all that I was thinking. More of a farm boy - give me a couple acres and a garden and I am a happy man.

Moving more stuff today but coffee first...  Got some specific requirements and coffee is one of them.

Eyes on the prize - China and TSMC

Biggest and best chip maker in the world is in Taiwan.  China wantsses its preciousssss...
From Tom's Hardware:

"We Must Seize TSMC" Urges Senior Chinese Economist
China's government has an intense craving to take control of TSMC, reveals a report shared by Bloomberg today. The financial news organization has published some alarming quotes from Chen Wenling, chief economist at the government-run China Center for International Economic Exchanges. In brief, Chen called on Chinese authorities to "seize TSMC" if the US and the West begin to implement Russia-war style sanctions on China. She was speaking at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University at the end of May.

On the university stage, Chen told attendees, "If the US and the West impose destructive sanctions on China like sanctions against Russia, we must recover Taiwan." However, the reasoning contained within this sentence is clearly topsy-turvy. The US and other democratic powers only imposed severe sanctions on Russia after it invaded neighboring Ukraine and refused to withdraw. It is expected very similar sanctions would be applied on Chinese interests worldwide if China invades Taiwan, but not if it maintains the status quo. It is curious why Ms. Chen has put the cart before the horse.

Wishful thinking.  Nice source of hard revenue.  Unfortunately, the infrastructure is so sensitive, the requirements for the clean room are so demanding that someone walking through with a burning highway flare would shut down their lines for at least six months if they could be brought back online at all.

China's homegrown efforts are where we were in about 2010 or so.  Not bad but not good - we have come a long way.

Their reaction to something they do not like - from the London Daily Mail:

Armed California man is arrested for 'threatening to kill' Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh at his Maryland home: Cops 'say he was angry over Roe v. Wade leak and carrying a handgun, knife and pepper spray'

    • The Supreme Court confirmed to DailyMail.com that an armed man was arrested outside of Justice Brett Kavanaugh's home after making threats against him
    • The suspect, reportedly in his mid-20s, was arrested just before 2am on Weds
    • It comes amid heightened tensions over the Supreme Court poised to make a decision on whether or not to curb federal abortion protections
    • The case sparked a wave of protests nationwide, including outside jurists' homes
    • Republicans in Congress blasted the White House for not condemning them
    • Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell demanded that House Democrats pass his chamber's bill on increasing security for Justices after the incident

Liberalism is mental illness - plain and simple.

He is not gone - he will do what all progressives do.  Spend six months quietly out of public notice and then resurface with a better position and higher salary.   Still, this is good news. From The Gateway Pundit:

RECALLED! Far Left DA Chesa Boudin Voted Out Of Office In Uber-Liberal San Francisco
Chesa Boudin, the radical, far left DA of San Francisco was successfully voted out of office by recall.

It turns out that even the people of blue San Francisco have limits when it comes to out-of-control crime.

Boudin now has the distinction of being too far left for San Francisco. That’s quite an accomplishment.

One down, a couple thousand more.  It realy is that small a number.  The progressives who are ruining our nation and who are trying to take over are small in number.  They are well organized, they work together and they are well funded. It's only a few thousand people though - get rid of them and we can go back to being a great Nation again.

Looks like the Los Angeles DA is heading for recall as well - doing my happy dance.

Hunter's Hooker Scored $20,000 PPP Loan As Joe Biden Entered White House
A Las Vegas prostitute featured throughout Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop scored a $20,207 Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan for having a "female owned sole proprietorship," right after Joe Biden moved into the White House, according to the Daily Wire.

The woman, Cheryl Deboves, listed herself as being in the field of "Independent Artists, Writers, and Performers."

The Daily Wire article is behind their paywall.  A bit more:

Texts between the two reveal she was trying to help Hunter juggle his excessive whore mongering.

"Honestly babe the problem is you have too many girls there," she texted him in August 2018. "I understand you like a lot of girls but that’s fine do one at a time at the tops to Which is fine but just hire the second girl for like 1 hour."

More texts suggest that the younger Biden and Deboves - who in 2017 plead no contest to a prostitution charge, include references to orgies and drug deals gone wrong.

And Hunter is being Hunter of course:

In one text exchange, Deboves asked Hunter to swoop in and save her from a ruffian.

"Eric keeps threatening me, and now he has someone named keaton threatening me too who just got out of prison or whatever… Can you please help me? Like he scares me a lot. I hate it when men threaten women," she wrote - to which Hunter ghosted her until he wanted sex again.

Nice guy - what were you expecting?  He is a Biden. Deboves and her roommate both received PPP loans.  Both have criminal records.  PPP loans were not supposed to be distributed to criminals.  Our tax dollars at work...

Bill Clinton suicide watch

A classic example of Arkancide - I knew about the death.  Today's revalation was its being labeled a suicide.
From the London Daily Mail:

Family of Bill Clinton advisor who admitted Jeffrey Epstein into White House seven times has blocked release of files detailing the death scene after he was found hanging from a tree with a shotgun blast at a ranch 30 miles from his home

    • Top Clinton advisor Mark Middleton died by suicide at the age of 59 on May 7, the Perry County Sheriff's Office in Arkansas confirmed
    • Middleton was President Bill Clinton's special advisor who admitted Jeffrey Epstein to the White House seven of the at least 17 times the pedophile visited
    • The married father-of-two, who lived in Little Rock, Arkansas, shot himself at the Heifer Ranch in Perryville, 30 miles away from his home
    • DailyMail.com can now reveal Middleton's father Larry and his widow Rhea are fighting to keep photos and 'other illustrative content' of his death sealed
    • The two filed for an injunction arguing that blocking the release of the footage would halt a proliferation of 'unsubstantiated conspiracy theories'
    • The lawsuit claims the family 'has been harassed by outlandish, hurtful, unsupported and offensive online articles' regarding Middleton and his death
    • Perry County Sheriff Scott Montgomery said Middleton was discovered hanging from a tree with a shotgun blast to his chest
    • After the petition was filed, Montgomery denied DailyMail.com's FOIA request for any of his paperwork on the case

Much much more at the site including other Clinton suspicious deaths.
Enough suspicious deaths that the term Arkancide has been coined.
They go a long way back - standard modus operandi for the Clintons.

A simple observation really - from One America News Network:

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Says Congress Is Corrupt, Decayed
Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), once again, took to social media to disparage US institutions. In a recent Facebook livestream, the New York lawmaker accused her colleagues on both sides of the aisle in Congress of being corrupt.

The Democrat pointed to the failure of the Build Back Better Act, among other progressive legislation, to pass as evidence. Additionally, Ocasio-Cortez claimed she’s not among those influenced by the depravity. However, critics have pointed out her radical policies would alter the very fabric of the country.

Classic case of projection. Everyone is crazy except for me.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had a few things to say about a guy named Brandon:

Today could be interesting - from Anonymous Conservative:

The Supreme Court stops issuing opinions in late June to early July normally. And if you go here and scroll down to the calendar, today is the last “opinion issuance day” out there right now. Opinions begin being released at 10 AM, at 10 minute intervals, and could include both abortion and some flavor of a right to carry a firearm. If both those came out, expect things to get extra spicy around the nation. Probably worse than the BLM riots.

A long hot summer - ramping up to the November mid-term elections.

UPDATE:  Curious.  Three opinions none of which have to do with Roe v Wade in any sense at all.
This appears to be the last day for issuance - they take July and August off.  Punt?

Secure elections? From Slay News:

Democrat Election ‘Winner’ Drops to 3rd Place after Hand Recount in Georgia, Voting Machines ‘Off by Thousands’
A hand recount of the election results in a Democratic primary for a Georgia county has seen the “winner” of the race drop to third place after it emerged that the voting machines were “off by thousands of ballots.”

The audit has raised fresh concerns about election integrity after it emerged that the vote count was severely inaccurate.

On Thursday, DeKalb County School Board member Marshall Orson, who is running for the county commission, asked the local election board not to certify results as scheduled because of “numerous errors” with the local race, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution noted.

Instead, Orson requested an “independent review” as well as a formal recount of the election in a letter to the board.

“There is no rational basis for believing that there are not continuing issues with the results and the results should not be certified with the continuing existence of multiple substantive issues and concerns,” Orson wrote.

From America's Newspaper of Record:

Biden's Teleprompter Resigns To Take Job At MSNBC
In what some pundits are calling the biggest loss yet for the administration, President Biden's teleprompter announced it is leaving to take a job at MSNBC.

"While I'm proud of my work trying to maintain the illusion of Joe Biden's coherence, I'm afraid that ship has sailed," said the teleprompter. "I've lost control of him. He's declaring war on someone new every other day, shaking hands with ghosts—it's over. Plus he always tries to sniff my wires, which is so uncomfortable."

The teleprompter delivered his resignation at the end of Biden's latest speech, sowing confusion as Biden continued to read everything on screen. "I can't take this anymore! I quit!" yelled President Biden at a group of reporters. "I mean—3.7 bottles of formula, Joe? Are you freaking kidding me? After all I got you through, now you want to ad-lib? I'm going with Jen!!" screamed Biden, storming off.

After clarifying that Biden had not, in fact, resigned the presidency to join MSNBC, Press Secretary Karine Jeanne-Pierre confirmed the teleprompter's departure. "While I did not watch Biden's speech, and have no apparent knowledge about anything happening at the White House, I did see our old teleprompter on MSNBC last night," said Jeanne-Pierre. "Also, the teleprompter used to be the only one who could tell Biden to brush his teeth before bed, and I have heard several aides complaining about his morning breath. Was that helpful?"

At publishing time, sources report that without his old teleprompter, Biden has gotten stuck in an endless loop of saying 'come on, man!' and 'deer in kevlar vests'.

The scary part is that this sounds plausible...

And the proles are not recognizing this takeover as what it is. A dissolution of our Republic and an institution of a top-down socialist government tyrany. From Conservative Treehouse:

Remarkable Admission, Pete Buttigieg Announces Biden Inflation Plan is to Create Increased Dependency State and Apply Socialist Economics, Biden Led Govt to Provide Medicine, Childcare, Housing and Food
Here is one succinct interview containing the smorgasbord of far-left policies the people behind Joe Biden are proposing as the solution to the inflation crisis they have created. It is remarkable to see it all packed into one 8-minute segment. There is so much crazy in here it would take a week of articles to unpack it.

The ultra-leftist Biden Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, appears on ABC with George Stephanopoulos to discuss the solutions to the massive economic collapse that looms all around us. Within the interview Buttigieg states the Biden administration goal is to use the high cost of living (policy driven inflation) as an opportunity for the government to take over household expenses and create equity via government distribution.

If reasonable people do not intervene quickly, the executive branch and legislative branch will move to begin subsidizing and controlling medicine, childcare, housing and food costs by diverting tax dollars into the social equity system. Depending on income, the Biden administration plans to offset higher prices for Americans by providing the essential services and products they need. In essence, Democrat-Socialism with a filter of equity in distribution, ie “enhanced dependency.”

So much wrong packed into only eight minutes - all talking points and no facts.

We are being led by ideologues and ninnies. Much more at the site.  Sundance takes the time to unpack the more egregious lies. 200+ comments too.

She’s gone from woke to “awakened.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims she experienced an “awakening” and got in touch with her indigenous ancestry in 2016, while demonstrating against the Dakota Access Pipeline at the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.

During a lengthy Instagram story Q&A session Saturday, the left-wing lawmaker spoke for roughly three minutes about people native to the Caribbean, known as Taíno, and the Americas, stressing that many Taíno ways are still alive and have not been entirely wiped out by European colonization.

“I really, really feel you, and understand you on this,” AOC says in the video, in response to an unnamed self-identified Boricua, or Puerto Rican, Bronx resident who said they “want to learn more” about their Taino ancestral traditions. “In fact, I feel like one of the things that first started awakening and connecting me deeply to my indigenous heritage was connecting with the Lakota Sioux at Standing Rock.”

She has nothing to offer that people want.  She is playing every game she can to hold on to power.  Of course, whenever the Indigenous game fails to work, she will abandon it and throw them under the bus as if nothing happened.  It is all smoke and mirrors with these people.  Focus groups.  What polls well.  How about just doing your job - that would poll really well... Representing the people that elected you.

Congratulations Mr. Kenichi Horie

From the London Daily Mail:

Japanese adventurer, 83, becomes the oldest person to complete a solo and nonstop 5,500 mile voyage across the Pacific Ocean as he completes the trip in a 19-foot yacht in 69 days

    • Kenichi Horie, 83, is oldest person to complete solo, nonstop trip across Pacific
    • However, the Japanese adventurer said he was still 'in the middle of my youth'
    • He spent more than two months alone on the sea as he conquered the waves

Japanese adventurer Kenichi Horie, 83, has become the oldest person to complete a solo, nonstop voyage across the Pacific Ocean — and he said he was still 'in the middle of my youth' and not finished yet.

Horie returned home as he crossed the Kii Strait off Japan's western coast early Saturday, completing his 5,500 mile trans-Pacific solo voyage in 69 days after leaving a yacht harbour in San Francisco in late March.

He has been sailing for a long time:

It was the latest record-setting achievement for the octogenarian adventurer, who in 1962 became the first person in the world to successfully complete a solo nonstop voyage across the Pacific from Japan to San Francisco.

Sixty years later, he traveled the opposite route.

His sailboat was 19 feet long - perfect size.  Big enough to be comfortable and small enough to be able to handle in all kinds of weather.  His website is here: Suntory Mermaid - quite the adventure.

I covered it when it happened in 2004 (here, here and here) as well as a couple times after.
Today is "Killdozer Day"  From Infogalactic:

Rampage
On June 4, 2004, Heemeyer drove his armored bulldozer through the wall of his former business, the concrete plant, the Town Hall, the office of the local newspaper that editorialized against him, the home of a former judge's widow, and a hardware store owned by another man Heemeyer named in a lawsuit, as well as others. Owners of all the buildings that were damaged had some connection to Heemeyer's disputes.

The rampage lasted 2 hours 7 minutes, destroying 13 buildings, knocking out natural gas service to City Hall and the concrete plant, and damaging a truck and part of a utility service center. Despite the great damage to property, no one besides Heemeyer was killed. The cost of the damage was estimated at $7 million.

Zoning problems - small-town politics.  He had purchased some land and the city planners screwed him over. More here and here.

Rest in power Marvin

At the airport no less. Sideswiped him.  From 90 Miles:

This looks good - election fraud

First, we had the excellent 2000 Mules.  Now? [S]election.code - here is the trailer:

Website for the video is here: [S]election.code

Was 2020 stolen? It’s deeper than that.

You’ve heard it said “Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.”

What about those who code the vote?

What if our leaders aren’t actually being elected by us, but instead… selected?

[S]ELECTION CODE follows world renown investigative journalist Lara Logan on her most important assignment to date. For over 35 years investigative journalist Lara Logan has been on the front lines of history’s deadliest conflicts. Yet no assignment to date has put her career and life in more danger than this one. Her investigation goes to the heart of the current Information War, revealing yet another facet in the ever-unfolding saga of election fraud, demonstrating the role of the machines in stealing our vote.

The documentary follows the story of Tina Peters the County Clerk in Mesa Colorado, who made a backup of her counties Dominion Voting System server, only to stumble across evidence of manipulation in a recent local city council election…. and also the 2020 general election. Tina’s discovery ignites a chain reaction upending her life. And upending the world.

You will not be able to unsee what you see.

Yep - there were a lot of accounts of people going in to "service" the machines after the 2020 election when a lot of people started asking questions.  This is a data dump that was taken before this cleanup action and it reveals that the fix was in.

Comes out in about a month...

The Biden Legacy - confusion

Interesting article from Red State.  They cite CNN for a lot of the story.
When CNN is writing about problems in the White House, you know it's serious...

Absolute Chaos Inside the White House Ensues, as the Backstabbing Begins
Over the last several days, a deluge of insider stories dropped about the inner workings of the White House. Needless to say, none of them have painted a positive picture.

On Wednesday, news of infighting between Joe Biden and his staff broke, leaving the obvious question of who is actually in charge. One complaint revolved around the president’s handlers constantly coming behind him to change his statements. Another centered on Biden being so ill-informed about the various, mostly self-inflicted crises that have plagued his tenure.

Now, another report via CNN is offering more details about just how chaotic things are. With the White House adrift, the backstabbing has commenced.

A bit more:

The division between the younger and older staffers is notable. Biden has long surrounded himself with a squad of yes men, including current Chief of Staff Ron Klain, that have always told him what he wants to hear. Over the decades, they’ve grown incredibly controlling as well. Those who joined the administration to fill out its ranks have found themselves constantly being shot down, while the older generation of Biden apparatchiks plods ahead doing things the way they’ve always done them.

That’s not to say that the younger staffers are right in their strategic suggestions. Sometimes, there is no right answer because the president is an addled, senile man who is clearly incapable of fulfilling the duties of his office. Are more social media hits going to help Biden’s approval? Of course not, and color me skeptical that there’s some magic elixir of messaging and image crafting that will fix what ails the administration.

Regardless, the divisions run deep, and nothing in CNN’s write-up on the situation should lead anyone to believe there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

The word clusterfuck comes to mind.  A real clusterfuck.

This regime is going down in the history books...

Major celebration going on in England.  Queen Elizabeth's 70th year of rule. Her Jubilee.
Some activists decided to use that for their personal forum.
From the London Daily Mail:

Moment furious crowd turns on vegan activist eco morons as they try to cause chaos at Queen's Jubilee by breaking onto The Mall to stage protest during Trooping the Colour

    • The intruders from Animal Rebellion were able to get into middle of the Mall and briefly disrupt the parade
    • A marching band was obstructed by the activists, but they were able to clear them by moving around the pair
    • Police hauled them out of the roadway and arrested them at the scene and carried them out of the route way
    • Met confirmed 'number of arrests' of people who attempted to enter the ceremonial route in The Mall

Up to 25 protesters were booed by crowds as they tried to evade police to smash through security measures on the Mall ahead of Trooping the Colour and disrupt the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Police officers pounced as they raced over barriers to where the parade was to be held.

Incredibly two of the protesters - who were from Animal Rebellion - were able to sit in the middle of the Mall as the marching band approached.

Officers hauled them out of the way as the musicians walked by them avoiding them completely, prompting applause to the police and boos to the activists.

London has a population of about 9,540,000 people.  These morons were only able to get 25 people to stage their protest?  Talk about irrelavent.  They should spend a minimum 120 days in jail - to encourage the others.  Bring back the public pillory. I would show up with a basket of rotting vegetables 😁

BillG is morphing into a true Bond Villain along with Davos Man Schwab and all of their minions, camp followers and mini-me's.  One of his projects is BIOMILQ - from their website:

Using mammary epithelial cells placed in flasks with cell culture media, the cells grow and are placed in a bioreactor that the company says “recreates conditions similar to in the breast.”

Hit me this morning - wondering if there is any connection between the current baby formula shortage and BillG trying to get his pet project off the ground.

He really needs to get over his megalomania - he is not that smart and his ideas for "managing" the general population of the world are not well thought out. He is slowly turning into a tyrant.  His intentions might have been good at one time but he is definitely over the edge now...

And out for the day

Crap - RIP Dave Smith

Bad day for electronic music - from MusicTech:

Dave Smith, founder of Sequential and ‘father’ of MIDI, has died at 72
Dave Smith, the founder of Sequential and whose contributions to MIDI development were instrumental to the world of music, has died at the age of 72.

The synth pioneer’s passing was made known in a statement from Sequential, shared to its website. At press time, no cause of death was given.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Dave Smith has died,” the statement read. “We’re heartbroken, but take some small solace in knowing he was on the road doing what he loved best in the company of family, friends, and artists.”

Smith’s passing comes just shortly after it was announced he was collaborating with fellow engineer Tom Oberheim on a brand-new synth, the Oberheim OB-X8. The collaboration was to be the second between the two synthesis pioneers, after 2016’s OB-6.

MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is used everywhere:

In 1981, he began collaborating with Tom Oberheim and Roland founder Ikutaro Kakehashi on a language which would allow instruments from all makes to communicate with one another. At the 1983 Winter NAMM show, that technology was unveiled as Musical Instrument Digital Interface – or MIDI for short.

Today, MIDI is ubiquitous in not only synthesizer keyboards and drum machines, but DAWs, guitar pedals, controllers, plug-ins and much more. It was the groundwork of which MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) was built, powering modern, touch-sensitive controllers such as the Roli Seaboard.

The sound of the Prophet is unique - lush.  It was a very practical performance synth.  He will be missed.

A good movie by John Carpenter: They Live (the trailer)
A little bit of homage with this meme:

20220601-true.jpg

What is the next public spectacle they will use to distract the masses?

Can't wait...

Michael Sussmann was Hillary's campaign lawyer and was caught dead-to-rights feeding false information to the FBI regarding President Trump's Russian collusion scam.  He was tried and the judge (Justice Chris Cooper) was an Obama appointee and several of the members of the jury were Clinton campaign donors - something they concealed during selection. He was acquitted.

The network runs deep.  FBI Lawyer Lisa Page was in the thick of this scandal (here for starters).  Lisa Page's own lawyer is Dorothy Ames "Amy" Jeffress.

From the New York Times, May 2nd, 1999:

WEDDINGS; Amy Jeffress, Casey Cooper
Dorothy Ames Jeffress, a Federal prosecutor, and Christopher Reid Cooper, a lawyer, were married yesterday afternoon at the Meridian House, a historic mansion in Washington. Judge Merrick Garland of the Federal Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit officiated, and the Rev. John Payne, a Roman Catholic priest, took part in the ceremony.

Officiated by current Attorney General Merrick Garland no less...

The fix was in before it even started.

No shit Sherlock - Janet Yellin

Not the brightest bulb in the bunch...  From The Daily Wire:

Janet Yellen Admits She Was ‘Wrong’ About Inflation Being ‘Small Risk’
It’s pretty rare for a member of the Biden administration, let alone the federal government, to admit when they were wrong about something, but on Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen confessed that she was “wrong” about inflation when she said in 2021 that it was only a “small risk.”

Tuesday evening, Yellen told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that her prediction was incorrect due to unpredictable shocks to the market that she didn’t fully understand.

“Well, look, I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take,” Yellen said after Blitzer played a clip of her misguided assessment of the economy. “As I mentioned, there have been unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly that I didn’t — at the time didn’t fully understand. But we recognize that now.”

Yeah... Riiight...  The government prints up and then hands out 1.3 Trillion Dollars worth of stimulous cash and we wonder why the value of the dollar is crashing. We are being managed by idiots...

Now this is just plain evil - from Florida Representative Matt Gaetz:

BREAKING: Democrat Party’s Law Firm Has A Personal FBI Workspace
In response to a letter sent by Rep. Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan, Perkins Coie, the legal arm of the DNC and Hillary Clinton, admitted they have been operating an FBI workspace in their Washington D.C. office since 2012.

Once again, the Dems have nothing to offer that we want. They have to lie and cheat to stay in power.  They are supposed to be part of the Judicial branch of the Government, not an arm of the Legislative. Cut their budget. Let them squeal. Return them to their charter. They work for us.

The Doctors weigh in - genders

Now we know for sure - from America's Newspaper of Record:

Report: Despite Attempts To Add More Genders, There Still Seem To Be Just 2 Plus 767 Mental Disorders
Despite decades of research attempting to add additional genders, scientists have finally admitted there are still only two genders plus a growing list of 767 mental disorders.

"Yup, looks like it's still just 'male' and 'female,'" said research scientist Dr. Viggs Vinstone, looking up from his microscope in frustration. "As it turns out, the rest of the genders were really just a collection of mental illnesses and quirky personality traits we accidentally misclassified as genders. Sorry—our mistake!"

Researchers confirmed that the growing list of exciting new genders that include classifications such as "non-binary," "demon," and "cake" aren't really genders at all, but instead a snowballing collection of bizarre personality disorders that continues to grow by the minute as the human race loses touch with reality.

"Wow, this looks pretty bad! How did we miss that?" said Dr. Vinstone. "Maybe we should start helping all these poor confused people!"

Findings also suggested that the vast majority of the 767 mental illnesses can be cured by simply telling people "Science has found there are only two genders." Medical professionals are already modifying their treatment plans accordingly.

UPDATE: At publishing time, scientists confirmed the list has grown from 767 to 829 mental illnesses.
UPDATE: It's now at 932.
UPDATE: 1,326.

Yep - Paul's letter to the Corinthians 13:11 comes to mind:

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Sums it up nicely...
