We've never seen Krusty the Clown popping his booty, Ronald McDonald never C-walked, and Bozo ... forget about it. He could probably barely do a jig, let alone shake his whole body like an enraged zombie from "28 Days Later." bq. Well, the dark ages are over. There's a group of California clowns doing the thang. We've gotten a potent dosage of clown dancing � or krumping, as it's called � in videos such as Missy Elliott's "I'm Really Hot" and the Black Eyed Peas "Hey Mama." Now the ringleader of the crunk circus act says the mainstream had better look out, because he's bringing more than balloons and giant shoes. The krumping era just may be upon us. bq. "The clowning and the krumping dance movement, it is a very positive thing because it really does keep kids off the streets," krumping originator Thomas Johnson, a.k.a. Tommy the Clown, explained in Los Angeles recently. "Kids really don't have too much to do around here. This is something exciting for them. To Missy and everybody that has grabbed this whole clowning, krumping, hip-hop style of clown dancing, I want to say thank you for putting it on the national scale. You're doing it." Human creativity is awesome. Now if we can get the mullahs in Iran to take some lessons in this...

I've been reading up on heaps of articles to do with Clown Dancing and Krumpn. The whole movement is interesting to me because it's an artistic revolution in my own era ready to blow up. It seems clear that the two dance forms share some similarities and it would be fair to say that Krumpn was an evolution of Clown dancing. However I've never read about Tommy claiming he invented Krump, or trying to take credit for it. So give the guy a break..

I.mma lay it down straight.... some of the cartoonz members were part of tommys crew at one time but that all changed obviously.... We came up wit the form and ALL YALL KNOW IT.... jus becuz Tommy started the clownin affair, but he has nothin to do wit KRUMPIN!!!!! i have been dancing for abot a year now straight klowning then started to krump i was at the block in orange county california and was discoverd by a photographer and i am trying to get the dance out

Whut up Tommy? Look, I got respect 4 u becuz u made up CLOWNING.....but as far as KRUMPING goes, I gotta run wit my peoplez from CARTOONZ becuz they started it, not u. So everybody in here that is claimin that they go to all these battlezones and yet they don't know who made up krump are either liars are just plain ignorant to krump dance.
