The 2,000 pound elephant in the room - defensive gun use

A Reddit channel for stories of defensive gun use. There are a lot of stories out there that are not being picked up by the mainstream media and why should they? They have Barry's agenda to promote. Here is a perfect example -- from The Washington Times:
Police superintendent: Chicago does not have strict gun laws
Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy implored the press Monday to stop characterizing the city as being strict on guns.

One of the things that I would like to again try to clear up, and I ask you to please stop adopting the rhetoric of the gun advocates, Mr. McCarthy said. Chicago does not have strict gun laws.
I wonder what it feels like for a resident of Chicago to realize that their Police Superintendent is delusional. Fortunately, the WT article exposes the lies of Mr. McCarthy:
Despite the superintendents claims, Chicago has some of the strictest gun-control mandates in the country. Assault weapons and high-capacity magazines are completely banned and, until a 2010 Supreme Court decision, so were handguns.

Residents now can get a permit to own a gun, but the process requires training, background checks and a firearm owners identification card.
And over 500 gun-related murders last year and off to a good start for 2013. And of course, Joey 'Plugs' Biden has to open his yapper -- from The Washington Examiner:
Biden: Were counting on legitimate media for successful gun control effort
During a press conference on gun safety in Philadelphia, Vice President Joe Biden said that any reports that suggest that he was trying to take weapons away from gun owners was a bunch of malarkey.

"I know that's a word that you've never heard before, although it's now in the dictionary," Biden boasted.

Biden said that it was important for the media to dissuade the American public from the idea that the Obama administration was prepared to do something unconstitutional on guns.

To be very blunt with you, were counting on all of you, the legitimate news media to cover these discussions because the truth is that times have changed, Biden added, warning that people would continue to misrepresent the White House's plans for gun control.

"The social media that exists out there, the tragedies that have occurred, the Supreme Court decision affirming that its an individual right to bear arms - all give a lie to the argument that what we're trying to do is somehow unconstitutional, or somehow goes after the legitimate right to own and bear arms and to hunt and protect yourselves," Biden added.
Christ on a Corn Dog -- Legitimate Media? There is no such thing. State Approved and Controlled Media -- is that what is running through your little brain Joe? As for the:
bunch of malarkey

"I know that's a word that you've never heard before, although it's now in the dictionary," Biden boasted.
Merriam Webster has the first known use in 1929 And, I love their two examples:
Examples of MALARKEY
He thinks everything politicians say is just a bunch of malarkey.
The old lady declared that everything politicians say is pure malarkey.
The true colors of this regime are being shown now that it is a lame duck. We conservatives need to fight like hell to reclaim the Senate in 2014 and keep the house. This is our nation and we need to cut the rot out from its heart.
