The sad thing is that Representative Ellison probably actually believes this Marxist claptrap. Marx's biggest failing is that he thought that there was a fixed pool of capital and that the inequities in the world were caused by improper distribution. This is munitions-grade stupidity. Capital is fungible -- it can be created; it can be destroyed. When Jon Corzine cratered MF Global and lost the tens of billions of dollars of investors money -- where were the trucks that took it away?
