Finally back home. Started on sorting through my Dad's library (the books are in cartons closest to the garage door is the reason I started there). My favorite bookstore buys used books and they prefer to receive them in chunks of a couple boxes at a time so this is perfect. Going through and weeding out my own library as well. Lots of old stuff I do not need to refer to.
One of the MBARC members did a nice presentation on his antenna building - something I want to get into more. One of the antennas he brought in was a Super J-Pole (more here). Looks like a fun couple-day project for when it is raining. Performance is supposed to be really good once you get it tuned up properly. Had dinner at a really nice restaurant - I had always passed it by as it looked like a dive but read a favorable review online and the food was really good. The trick is walk through the really sad-looking dining room, turn right down the hallway and go into the rockin' bar. Lots of people and the food was basic bar food but really well done. Had a BLT sandwich with fries and it was tasty.
Allergies are starting to kick in on schedule - taking the Costco AllerClear which works great but it takes a day or two to 'kick in'. I should be back to normal by Thursday or so but stuffed up for the last couple of days.
Surf for a bit - a glass or three of wine and then to bed.
