Not a big fan of that German company but in the lot that I won was a collection of their controllers. A Simatic S7-200 going for about $225 used on Amazon as well as several expansion blocks - an EM-222 relay ($200), an EM231 four-input temperature receiver ($180) and an EM-232 high precision voltage output ($385). I have no use for this so I will flog it on Amazon but keeping the rest - there were a lot of handy terminal blocks, a dozen little relays, two large contactor switches (already planning to use them on my power hammer) and a bunch of circuit breakers that are DC rated - dibs on them for my solar panel battery charger.
The box this all came in will become my new EMP-proof storage locker to hold backup ham radio equipment and other electronic devices. Not if, when.
Dinner in a few minutes - ham with oven-roasted red potatoes and onions. The ham was pre-cooked but warming it up sous-vide so it doesn't dry out in the oven or get that funky microwave meat texture.
