The joys of dealing with them - two Facebook messages from Amarillo, Texas station KISSFM:
Early Voters From Amarillo Are Saying Their Votes Were Changed On the Ballot
Early voting for the 2016 election started today (Monday, October 24th). The people of Potter and Randall County are taking this opportunity to skip the long lines that always file out of the voting locations on Election Day.
It’s common to see pictures of the “I Voted!” stickers on social media. It’s not as common to see the stories I’ve been seeing today.
Here are the two Facebook messages:
This is trivially easy to do - these machines display the candidates on a touch screen display. The programmer of the machine sets the boundaries of the touch screen - anywhere within this box will register as a vote for candidate one and anywhere in that box will register as a vote for candidate two. It is trivial to make one box much larger than the other and this is invisible to the voter. They think that they are selecting one candidate but in reality, their vote is being recorded as for the other.
They call this calibration error - a very benign term. Makes it sound like the voting machine's programmer didn't sleep very well the night before and was just off a little bit. Do not believe them - this requires intentional forethought and planning and constitutes pure intentional voter fraud.
