Had dinner, watched an episode of Person of Interest (great show!) and heading out to the radio room to finish making the cables and programming the radios.
Because there is only so much front panel space for knobs and buttons, the radios are very menu driven with some functions requiring you to drill down four and five levels to reach a command. Fortunately, the radios have ports on them that connect to your computer's USB port and there is software that makes this a piece of cake. I use Chirp as well as some proprietary software depending on what I want to do.
Back to work - long but fun day tomorrow.
