Just when you think it is going to be kind of crappy, the real shitstorm comes along. From local radio station KGMI:
National Weather Service upgrades high wind, winter weather warnings for Whatcom County
GLACIER, Wash. – As snow and ice continue to pummel northern Whatcom County, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for eastern part of the county, and extended a Winter Weather Advisory for areas closer to the coast.
They also say high winds will pick up later Sunday into Monday.
An earlier Winter Weather Advisory had begun Friday, and it’s now been extended through 4 a.m. Sunday for western Whatcom County.
And we are staring right down the barrel:
They name the Mount Baker Highway as one of the areas of concern.
I probably will loose power at some point - the winds will take down any weak tree branches.
