Obama Administration Rushed to Preserve Intelligence of Russian Election Hacking
In the Obama administration’s last days, some White House officials scrambled to spread information about Russian efforts to undermine the presidential election — and about possible contacts between associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Russians — across the government. Former American officials say they had two aims: to ensure that such meddling isn’t duplicated in future American or European elections, and to leave a clear trail of intelligence for government investigators.

Ted Kennedy's Soviet Gambit
Picking his way through the Soviet archives that Boris Yeltsin had just thrown open, in 1991 Tim Sebastian, a reporter for the London Times, came across an arresting memorandum. Composed in 1983 by Victor Chebrikov, the top man at the KGB, the memorandum was addressed to Yuri Andropov, the top man in the entire USSR. The subject: Sen. Edward Kennedy.
“On 9-10 May of this year,” the May 14 memorandum explained, “Sen. Edward Kennedy’s close friend and trusted confidant [John] Tunney was in Moscow.” (Tunney was Kennedy’s law school roommate and a former Democratic senator from California.) “The senator charged Tunney to convey the following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov.”
Kennedy’s message was simple. He proposed an unabashed quid pro quo. Kennedy would lend Andropov a hand in dealing with President Reagan. In return, the Soviet leader would lend the Democratic Party a hand in challenging Reagan in the 1984 presidential election. “The only real potential threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and Soviet-American relations,” the memorandum stated. “These issues, according to the senator, will without a doubt become the most important of the election campaign.”
Kennedy made Andropov a couple of specific offers.

So Obama is claiming Russian involvement in the November 8th election, even going so far as to say that the Russians helped defeat Hillary Clinton when Democrat Ted Kennedy actually did this for the Reagan Presidential election. What caused Hillary to lose was her living in a bubble and the corruption of the entire Democratic Party, especially Ms. Clinton and her "Foundation".

The Doughnut Hole in Schumer’s Hard Line Against Putin
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is taking a hard line on Donald Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin, but welcomed Putin to New York in 2003.
Incoming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has talked quite tough on Russia as of late. In December, he said Trump’s team is “far too close to Russia,” and added “[b]oth parties ought to be united in standing up to Russian interference.”
Schumer hasn’t always been so tough on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In 2003, Schumer welcomed Putin to New York City as Russian oil company Lukoil opened a gas station in Manhattan.
