Finished fixing the cast iron drainpipe at the store - here is what I found:
My guess is that someone shoved something back and whacked the pipe causing a hairline crack - age and corrosion let it to grow to the point that it started leaking onto the floor of the back storage room. It just puddled on the floor - nothing was contaminated and we carefully sanitized everything. The pipe was in direct contact with some copper water lines and also was held in place with some galvanized strapping - both great candidates for corrosion and electrolysis.
Drove over to a neighboring town to have some Chicken Mole for dinner. Just had one beer (but it came in a 32oxz. bottle - huge!).
Why is there no date on that quarter?
