It has been raining off and on this morning (tenth of an inch accumulation) but it just started really dumping down a few minutes ago. Life in paradise - the year without a summer?
Forecast is for more of same through next Wednesday, a couple of days of partly cloudy and then back to rain again. They just re-upped the Special Weather Statement:
...COOLER AND WETTER CONDITIONS IN THE MOUNTAINS TODAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND...
Those venturing into the mountains or traveling through the higher
passes should plan for possible wintry conditions today through
the weekend.
An upper level low will bring cool and unstable conditions to
Western Washington. Snow levels will drop to near 5000 feet today
and then fall to around 4000 feet tonight and Friday. Elevations
above around 4000 feet could pick up a few inches of snow through
Friday.
This cool and showery pattern will continue into early next week
as another upper level low tracks through the Pacific Northwest.
Continue to monitor the forecast for the latest details.
Sooooo frickin' tired of this - do not get me wrong, I love it here but still...
