And the finger-pointing begins - Puerto Rico

One of the reasons that Puerto Rico was so devastated by Hurricane Maria was that it had been poorly managed and the infrastructure was not well maintained. This has been noted before (here, here, here, here and here) but claims are now starting to come out.
From FOX News

Trump fires back at Puerto Rico mayor, accuses her of 'poor leadership'
President Trump on Saturday defended his administration’s hurricane recovery effort in Puerto Rico and cast blame on San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz who is criticizing the president's effort to get supplies, electricity and other relief to the U.S. Island.

“Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help,” Trump said in a series of tweets. "They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.”

And it seems that the good Mayor's politics are to the left of progressive - from The Daily Caller:

San Juan Mayor Praised Convicted FALN Terrorist
San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz, who attacked President Donald Trump for his response to last week’s hurricane in Puerto Rico, previously praised FALN terrorist leader Oscar Lopez Rivera.

Yulin Cruz is a member of Puerto Rico’s Popular Democratic Party that wants the island to remain a U.S. territory. But she sounded more like a member of the island’s Independence Party in a video that surfaced back in January when President Barack Obama commuted the sentence of Rivera Lopez.

Why is it always the progressive liberal nations/states/cities that have such poor infrastructure, massive corruption and grinding poverty? Venezuela, Cuba, California, Chicago - the list goes on...
