Had fun driving around the East Side this afternoon. The place I was looking for - Vetco - pulled a dissapearing act. I must have driven right past it but did not see it. WIll try again on this trip - they were always the go-to place for odd bits of electronic unobtanium. Nice to be able to actually kick the tires before purchase instead of handing over a credit card number and hopeing for the best.
Drove past Dixie's BBQ and saw that it was still there but sad to hear that Gene passed away in 2010 - had lunch there a lot when I worked at MSFT and afterwards, I would always find an excuse to swing by there if I was in the East side. Damn good brisket and The Man was legendary - not a big fan of excessive heat so only tried it a few times.
Stopped at Costco and picked up a few staples for the house - fixing dinner later. T is napping.
