Had a 9:00AM meeting with the local ham radio emergency communications director at the local fire hall. The fire chief was there too so we chatted for a while about how we might use ham radio when the fire district does it's major drills. They do these four times/year and there is a lot of stuff that we can do for them.
One of the really neat things about the CERT training is that we are trained with the same hierarchy that the emergency responders (police, fire and S&R) use so we can slot right in to their operations. If there is a large disaster, the CERT people can respond and when the fire or police do show up, our data will fit into their operational system so they can get up to speed quickly.
Had a visit with the skin doc this afternoon (staph infection is lingering on) and he tweaked some meds and we will see how that goes.
A burrito for dinner and time for a hot shower, some medicated shampoo and a glass or three of wine...
