...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING ABOVE 3000 FEET...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible above 3000 feet. Total snow accumulations 8 to 16 inches, with over 2 feet possible near mountain summits. A trace to 6 inches of snow will be possible above 2500 feet by Friday evening.
* WHERE...Cascade mountains and valleys above 3000 feet from Mount Rainier to the Canada border. This includes Snoqualmie Pass (I-90), Stevens Pass (US-2), White Pass (US-12), Washington Pass (SR-20), Mount Baker Ski Area, Crystal Mountain Ski Area, and Paradise on Mount Rainier.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning through Friday evening. The heaviest snowfall is expected Thursday evening through Thursday night with snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour. Snow showers, some potentially heavy, will persist through Friday.
Maybe an early opening for Mt. Baker? That would be wonderful.
