Checking the forecast before heading out to dinner and ran into this little nugget from the National Weather Service:
...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO MIDNIGHT PST MONDAY NIGHT...
The National Weather Service in Seattle has upgraded the High Wind Watch to a High Wind Warning, which is in effect from midnight tonight to midnight PST Monday night. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.
* WIND...Winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph possible.
* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...Highest winds in the areas nearest the waters.
* TIMING...Winds will increase late tonight with the strongest winds Monday afternoon and evening. Winds will diminish late Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...Winds could cause some tree damage with associated power outages.
Got candles and the water system is gravity fed and has a backup generator so no worries there. The fire has the house nice and toasty so I can go without HVAC for a long time. Have plenty of flashlights and two camp lanterns too. I got this covered.
King tide is at 7:30AM tomorrow with 12.43 feet. That puts the ocean right at the base of my bulkhead. I'm going to take some photos and video.
