Ran a full van in to Bellingham, unloaded and then brought my Dad's old writing desk (actually a trestle table) and my media computer down to the island. I use this system for editing photos and will be installing DaVinci Resolve on it tomorrow (sorry Pinnacle).
The table is really beat up and old - Dad's first computer was an S-100 box running CP/M and WordStar (he wrote Physics textbooks). He later moved over to an Apple ][+ with CP/M card and WordStar and then an IBM AT (WordStar again and a really really nice keyboard) and then various Windows boxes that I built for him. It has a 40+ year history of hosting creativity on computers - looking forward to carrying that on for the next 30 years at least. My current media system is a gaming computer that I got through Costco for a very reasonable price - perfect for doing photography and video. I added extra memory so it screams.
Just a short visit this time - I want to start bringing the music stuff down so I will be back at the farm Sunday and then down here Monday late for my Tuesday radio net.
