Two from The Don

Retired journalist (one of the good ones - actually concerned about facts, not The Narrative) Don Surber had two excellent posts today:

First:

Netflix releases details of $65 million bribe to Obama
Barack Obama will rake in about a billion bucks off his presidency. The presidency already has cost Donald John Trump a billion.

So far, Netflix gave the biggest bribe: $65 million to produce seven films.

(That ain't working. That's the way you do it. Money for nothing and your flicks for free.)

And Second:

Bill Barr may be Trumpier than Trump
A reader pointed out to me the Trumpiest moment in Attorney General Bill Barr's cross-examination by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. Barr put in his place Dick Blumenthal, D-Stolen Valor.

Via Thomas Lifson, the transcript.

Blumenthal: "Did you make a memorandum of your conversation?"
Barr: "No, I didn't."
Blumenthal: "Did anyone, either you or anyone on your staff, memorialize your conversation with Robert Mueller?"
Barr: "Yes."
Blumenthal: "May we have those notes?"
Barr: "No."
Blumenthal: "Why not?"
Barr: "Why should you have them?"

I love it. The Attorney General is head of the Judicial Branch as well as a member of the President's Cabinet. They are not part of the Legislative branch. Congress does have oversight of the president but it's powers are strictly enumerated by the Constitution and the Amendments. Don writes:

He could have been a nice guy and released the notes, but why? When was Washington ever nice to us?

So sadly true. They detest us normals - we interfere with their power grabbing.
