Back from the car dealership and doing my happy dance. Turns out that I picked up a nail in one of my tires and since this is an all-wheel drive vehicle, all four tires really need to be replaced at the same time. Just what I need - another $1,000 flying out the window. The tires were getting a bit worn (30K miles after all) but would have been fine for another 10K miles at least.
Drove up to Costco and got a decent price on some Michelin all weather rated for 70K miles. Pick those up Friday or Monday.
