Journalist Don Surber posts an interesting trip down memory lane - when Robert Mueller was head of the FBI:
Mueller owes Trump $5.8 million
The week after Robert Mueller became FBI director, 9/11 happened. A week later, anthrax attacks began, which killed five people. Mueller took personal charge of the investigation.
It was a disaster. After sending agents to interview 9,000 people on six continents, the Mueller investigation publicly named government virologist Steven Hatfill as a person of interest.
Dr. Hatfill was innocent. He sued. The government paid him $5.8 million to drop the lawsuit. The public never got to learn what happened because the Bush administration paid hush money to avoid a trial.
Well yeah, he had to find "someone". Pity he didn't do due diligence and find the right person. It is We The People who paid for this boondoggle (as well as the $31+ million for his latest nothing-burger)
