Interesting times in Portland, Oregon

The major cities in Western Oregon are bastions of loony liberalism. Portland the worst. Drive 100 miles outside the urban areas and things are different. A LOT different. Here is a map of the 2016 election:

This weekend, Conservative groups have been marching in Portland and being met by Antifa and their ilk. Some clickable headlines:

• • Portland demonstrations declared a ‘civil disturbance,’ police make multiple arrests
  • At least 13 people arrested at Portland, Oregon, protest
  • Far-right rally in Portland met by anti-fascist protesters
  • Portland braces for violence at far-right rally — entire police force will be on duty

It is worth noting that these "far-right" groups have been operating under very strict guidelines of behavior. They are being incredibly careful to not strike the first blow. They are peacefully marching and it is the leftists who have been throwing rocks / bottles / hammers / fists. Once one of the conservative people have been attacked; once the first strike has landed, all bets are off. For some strange reason, this has not been reported in the mainstream media. The violence is coming from the left.
