A lot longer than a couple of hours

There is a major butt-load of history being well preserved on this little island. A lot of fun today.

Got a Solstice party at the farm tomorrow and then a pot-luck for one of my groups.

Also applied for my Island County ID card today - turned in the paperwork. They will be doing a background check. I carried a Whatcom County ID card for many years so piece of cake. You need this for doing regular emergency services and communications.

Surf for a bit and then to bed. Got a couple pounds of smoked pork shoulder thawing - braise it in apple cider to do pulled pork sliders for tomorrows pot-luck. I get this from Costco, brine it, smoke it and then cut it into half-pound chunks and freeze it. Braise for four hours and it is yummy.
