The people in charge run a good meeting so the business part was over in 15 minutes as usual. We then had an open forum for members to talk about fun stuff they are doing or to ask for help with projects. It is then turned over to a presenter who gives a 20-30 minute presentation. Not tonight.
I have talked to the guy before and he was a PhD university professor in upper atmosphere and solar physics which is something I am very interested in. He did not know how to deliver a succinct presentation though. He brought 50 slides (there was a counter running on the video screen) and at the end of one hour, he was only up to #27. I bailed.
The guy was a charter member of a 12-step program for public speakers: On Anon, Anon, Anon
Tired - surf for a little bit, have a glass or two of red wine and to bed.
