Fixing some red beans and rice for dinner tonight. The engineers at Instant Pot are fantastic - my old rice cooker was sold at a yard sale and needed to get a good one. Wanted something a bit better than the cheap thermostatic "click" type of cooker and saw that Walmart had an Instant Pot rice and grain cooker for sale for $40.
It has done white rice perfectly for me a couple of times. Tonight was the first time I tried it with brown rice and it came out absolutely dead-nuts on (machining term: here, here and here)
