Getting some heavy rainfall off and on today - there is a pineapple express happening but the majority if it is centered on Vancouver Island and not here. Still, got a bit over a half inch from this morning. BC Hydro is showing about 2K customers without power.
Picked up a new rice cooker. My old one was sold in the big estate sale. Drove up to Walmart this afternoon and found that InstantPot makes a non-pressure cooker specifically for rice and grains. Will try it tomorrow for the feijoada. I love my InstantPot pressure cooker so it will be interesting to see how well their rice cooker does.
When driving through the Skagit farmlands up to Walmart (and Costco and Harbor Freight and...), saw a flock of about 80 Snow Geese - they are starting to migrate in. Also noticing an uptick of hummingbirds at my feeders - time to make another batch of nectar.
Dinner on the road and the two beers at my local were nice and cold. Surf for a bit...
