The day was overcast but dry so after coffee, we went to one of the state parks and walked along the beach. We both had questions about the various plants so I installed Google Lens on my phone yesterday. Ho. Li. Crap. Amazing image recognition software. It takes all the information from your phone (focus distance, position, direction of view, location, etc...) and uses it along with the image to try to figure out what it is looking at. Identified everything I pointed it at.
There were places along the trail where there was no cell service so I just took a photo and Google Lens was able to retreive the image from Google Pictures and make its determination.
