Came to mind as I was thinking about all the doom-sayers and TDS sufferers. King James of course:

For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.

That is all that they are - vanity. To think that they consider themselves to be the cultural elite and that they "know" how we need to be governed. That we are the basket of deplorables.
