Democrat says Trump saved her life
Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan threatened doctors if they dared use antimalarial drugs to treat COVID-19.
Those drugs just saved Democrat state Representative Karen Whitsett of Detroit.
Last month, Red State reported, "Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs sent a threatening letter to the state’s Doctors and Pharmacists on March 24th. It told them in no uncertain terms not to prescribe or fill any prescriptions for hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19. And the medical community is advised to report any ‘unauthorized’ prescribing of it."
And fortunately:
Thankfully, public reaction and the reality that thousands of Michiganders dying forced Whitmer to back down. Now she is begging President Trump (whom she had mocked) for these drugs.
And then, there is this Michigan Democrat:
The Detroit Free Press reported, "A Democratic state representative from Detroit is crediting hydroxychloroquine — and Republican President Donald Trump who touted the drug — for saving her in her battle with the corona virus.
"State Rep. Karen Whitsett, who learned Monday she has tested positive for COVID-19, said she started taking hydroxychloroquine on March 31, prescribed by her doctor, after both she and her husband sought treatment for a range of symptoms on March 18.
"'It was less than two hours' before she started to feel relief, said Whitsett, who had experienced shortness of breath, swollen lymph nodes, and what felt like a sinus infection. She is still experiencing headaches, she said."
The stuff is cheap, has minimal adverse side effects and it just plain works. What's not to love. Time for Gov. Half-Whitmer to start buffing up her resume because, if there is any justice in this universe, she will be out of work after the next election.
