Van will not unpack itself so heading out to do that - the RAM for my music computer came in today as well so will be doing the final upgrade there. The older RAM is smaller and also slower - I will be moving it over to my ham radio computer. Max it out. It is fun how older machines keep their productivity with simple and cheap modifications - all of these are at least five years old and the ham radio box is more like twelve. All run Windows 10 satisfactorily and all do what I want. I am not playing twitch games with insane frames-per-second so do not need the latest performance.
My media computer is the newest machine - five years old. It was a top-end gaming box - the needs for that coincided perfectly with the needs for a high-end video and still image editing box. The music box is just running Digital Audio Workstation software (Cubase) and playing samples - lots of RAM and fast disk space is much more important than fast graphics or high-end CPU.
