Our sun is being very quiet these days - last year, it tied a record last set in 1913 for fewest sunspots. Since sunspots are a good proxy for solar activity, this means that the sun's output was lower than in recent history.
2020 is continuing the trend - 2019 had 77% of its days sunspot free. Today puts 2020 at 78%. Every few weeks, we have sunspots for a day or so and that kicks the number down below 77% but it just keeps creeping up.
Why am I looking at this? Because low sun activity means low temperatures on Earth. The global warming people are going to have some 'splainin to do before too long. Looks like the Modern Warm Period is coming to a close...
