Heh - looks like one of the people who invented the concept of Red Pill v/s Blue Pill is firmly in the blue pill camp and has quite the vocabulary on social media. From The Guardian:
Lilly Wachowski rounds on Ivanka Trump and Elon Musk over Matrix tweets
Film-maker Lilly Wachowski has responded to Elon Musk and Ivanka Trump after the pair bantered on social media using a phrase from the Wachowskis’ hit 1999 film, The Matrix.
After Musk tweeted “Take the red pill” – referring to a key scene in The Matrix, which subsequently gave rise to the phrase “redpilling” as an alt-right, misogynist meme, along with a red rose emoji normally associated with the Democratic Socialists of America, the party to which Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib belong – Trump replied: “Taken!”
Wachowski then pithily responded, “Fuck both of you”, before following up with a tweet supporting the Brave Space Alliance, which describes itself as “the first Black and trans led LGBTQIA center located on the South Side of Chicago”.
First of all, The Guardian proudly wears its liberal bias on its sleeve. The difference between Red Pill and Blue Pill has absolutely nothing to do with right or left and has absolutely nothing to do with misogyny (or misandry). To quote the dialog from the film:
You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Red pill and blue pill is about awareness and truth - the actual truth and not the narrative. People who take the red pill see what is actually happening and "wake up" from living in the state of narrative. This is what makes the liberals react so violently. Their problem is that if they actually said this, they would be admiting that their philosophy is based on a made-up story and their beautiful prison would crumble under its own weight. Therefore, they have to fling poo and try to distract people from the truth. Cognitive dissonance writ large.
