The lady doth protest too much, methinks

Classic case for using the line from Hamlet. From The Hill:

Whitmer says Michigan protests 'depicted some of the worst racism and awful parts of our history'
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) said protests inside the state capitol last week, featuring demonstrators with assault weapons, swastikas and Confederate flags, depicted some of the “worst racism and awful parts” of the nation’s history.

“Some of the outrageousness of what happened at our capitol depicted some of the worst racism and awful parts of our history in this country,” she said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“The behavior you've seen in all of the clips is not representative of who we are in Michigan,” she added.

Gretchen Gretchen Gretchen... Stop lying - it is not a good look for you. Yes, there were people legally performing open carry of firearms. Shootings? Of course not - safest place to be in the whole state. You did see some Gadsen Flags - learn your history. They are not Civil War flags, they are anti-tyranny flags from the Revolutionary War. You are almost 100 years off. Didn't see any swastikas at all and I am sure that images of those would have been plastered over all the mainstream media if they were present.

Gretchen is using a propaganda technique pioneered by Adolf Hitler called Big lie - from Infogalactic:

A big lie (German: große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously".

Your true colors are showing. Hope the voters wake up this November.
