On the road shortly - Bellingham

Heading up there for two hours or so - run a few errands. The city of Everett is a lot closer and I spent a full day checking out all the hardware stores and tool suppliers, the lumber stores and the food coop and none of them came even close to what Hardware Sales and Millwork Supply (and Windsor Plywood) had to offer in Bellingham so that is still my go-to place for making stuff. The Skagit Food Coop is about five times larger than the Everett store. Also cruising through Quicksilver Photo - they consign used equipment and there are a few lenses I am looking for - not an active search but if I am in the area...

Also stopping at the Mt. Vernon farmer's market - yesterday's grocery deliveries ran long so missed the one down here. Restaurant supply (Smart Food-service) to pick up a bain-marie. Not using the microwave as much so this is the perfect alternative to warming pre-cooked food. Quick run through the food coop and then back home.

The weekend curse is holding true - overcast and was raining lightly earlier. Working at home later this afternoon - ham radio stuff. I will also be starting to process the photos I took last Thursday evening. The friend wants as high a resolution as possible so trying several pieces of software to "stack" multiple images. There is enough camera movement that the pixels will overlap and stacking will yield that much more fine detail. Checking out this application from Microsoft: Image Composite Editor. It is intended to stitch together multiple images for a larger panorama but I will see how it does for stacking. There are some open source utilities for this too - checking them out. A fun project.
