Tried to view Neowise last night around 11:00 and a few times after that. There were some thin clouds and enough light pollution coming from Whidbey Island to obscure it. I could make it out in binoculars - gorgeous and big but only caught glimpses with the naked eye and only then by using averted vision. Set the alarm for 3:00AM and the clouds were fully socked in.
Slept in a bit this morning so just starting my day. Low lying clouds obscuring Whidbey and the sky is filled with cirrocumulus which indicate a front moving in. Forecast calls for 10% chance of rain today with 20% tonight and tomorrow. We will see. Sigh. Our short summer was really nice.
Working around the house this morning - needs some serious cleaning. They may not be high but I do have some standards...
