And back home

Picked up enough storage bins to last me a lifetime - 200 of them:

Bear is watching out for them for me. Good dog😊

Also stopped by my favorite camera store - they were processing a bunch of Nikon equipment from an estate and I was looking for specific lenses (extreme telephoto and one specific macro). They did not have these but they did have a Nikon Coolpix 900 that came home with me. I have been curious about these cameras as they have an extremely large optical zoom range (83X) - the 35mm equivalent of 24mm to 2000mm. Cowabunga! The price was right. There are newer models out there but this is a rock-solid design with excellent optics so was able to get a good camera for quite cheap.

Fixing some dinner - a tuna sandwich. Stopped by Trader Joes on the way back home and picked up some fun stuff.

We have had great luck with our reconditioned Nikon Coolpix P900. I got it for my with to take to Kenya so she did not need to get too close the beasties with big teeth. Since then it has been to New Zealand, Antartica, Patagonia, Peru and Guatemala as well as being our quick grab camera to catch the eagle in the tree from 150 feet. I bought the P950 as a graduation present for my daughter and it is better in many ways but has the same amazing lens. I am hoping to upgrade to the P1000 soon too. These super telephoto ranges are great when living on the water and catching the action far away
