Michelle Obama: Coronavirus an Opportunity to Change ‘How Wealth Is Distributed’
Wednesday on her new podcast, former first lady Michelle Obama called coronavirus an opportunity to think about “how wealth is distributed” to lower-income essential workers.
Obama noted the “power” that would enable what “we” could do to allow such actions.
Pure Marxism and... wait for it... Marx was dead wrong on this point. Marx's whole philosophy was constructed on the idea that there is a fixed pool of capital and that all social ills can be traced to an inequitable distribution of said capital.
Unfortunately for poor innumerate Karl, the fixed pool of capital is an absolute myth. Capital is fungible - it can be created and it can be destroyed.
