That story at The Atlantic

The Atlantic used to have decent writing but they are now the plaything of Steve Job's widow and follow the leftist marxist narrative. On September 3rd, they published this article:

Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers’ and ‘Suckers’
When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service wouldn’t drive him there. Neither claim was true.

Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.

Needless to say, this story is a complete fabrication. It was raining cats and dogs and driving through Paris (the Cemetery was on the opposite side of where the Presidential party was staying) would have been a security nightmare - that option was never even considered. As for President Trump's comments? This today at Breitbart:

Exclusive: Zach Fuentes, Top Aide to John Kelly, Denies Atlantic Story About Trump
Former Deputy White House Chief of Staff Zach Fuentes denied to Breitbart News The Atlantic’s account of President Donald Trump’s comments about troops in Europe.

Fuentes unequivocally denied The Atlantic’s report last week, a huge blow to the establishment media narrative. Fuentes personally briefed President Trump on the weather situation that led to the trip being canceled. He is also a close personal confidante of former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.

“You can put me on record denying that I spoke with The Atlantic,” Fuentes told Breitbart News on Monday. “I don’t know who the sources are. I did not hear POTUS call anyone losers when I told him about the weather. Honestly, do you think General Kelly would have stood by and let ANYONE call fallen Marines losers?”

He specifically also stated that he believes The Atlantic’s sources “are unlikely first hand accounts.”

Amazing but The Atlantic has doubled down and published this OpEd today:

Everyone Knows It’s True
Donald Trump generates a lot of noise. He talks. He tweets. He is echoed and amplified by a vast claque, on TV and online, made up of Americans and foreigners, humans and bots.

Never has he shouted louder than in the days since my colleague Jeffrey Goldberg reported the president’s disparaging comments about those who have fallen, been maimed, or taken prisoner in war.

Spin spin spin you sad little monkeys. Hammer those typewriters and get the narrative out. They just segued from the specific: "Trump said this" and are now pushing the fallback argumentum ad hominem (more fun reading here): "Trump is a poopy-head" and "Orange Man Bad" Their central premise - that President Trump said that the graves were filled with losers and suckers - was slander from the beginning. A fabulation. A lie.

They have nothing and know it. They are lying and cheating to try to hold on to their power.

58 days until the day of reckoning. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Everyone else? Stock up - the following weeks will probably be quite rocky.
