From Law Enforcement Today

First:
Black Lives Matter leader in Des Moines arrested for 9 felony counts of assaulting officers
One of the Black Lives Matter organizers based out of Des Moines is now facing nine felony charges after police say he was shining lasers directly into officers’ eyes on the evening of August 31st while protests were raging nearby the University of Iowa.

And of course, the moke has a string of priors. Already in trouble with the law.  You can get a laser for about $30 that is powerful enough to cause immediate and permanent eye damage. I have a couple of them and treat them with the utmost respect. They are absolutely not toys.

Second:
The case against the Minneapolis cops in the death of George Floyd is quickly falling apart
Minneapolis attorneys representing former police officer Derek Chauvin have filed for a dismissal of all charges on two grounds.

The first cites a report over whether George Floyd intentionally ingested a lethal dose of fentanyl shortly before his arrest.

The second is that a Minneapolis Department police training manual demonstrates a technique similar to the one Chauvin used on Floyd to subdue violent and resisting suspects. The technique involves placing a knee on the suspect’s neck.

Floyd had close to four times a lethal dose. His death was from cardiac arrest. The Officer was following standardized proceedures. Floyd refused to cooperate and fought with the three officers.
