Productive day today. Meeting tomorrow morning with someone from the arts group.
Feeling tired so watch a few videos and off to sleep.
Burning coal in the fireplace is working well - using the grate from my BBQ between the andirons and it works perfectly - keeps a good bed of hot coals with good airflow and I can pile fresh fuel on top. So far, been burning for about 20 hours and used up less than 20 pounds of fuel. The bags are 40 lbs and $10 each so about $3/day to keep half of the house nice and toasty. I heated with coal for a while when I lived in New England (1970's-80's) so used to maintaining the fire.
