The stupidity - it hurts

Good.  I have been to this store many times, even purchased a few things that go BANG from there. (these were sadly lost in the boating accident of 2018). The idea of trying to rob this place and specifically, trying to rob guns from this place beggars the imagination.  From Seattle station KOMO:

Sporting goods employee shoots robbery suspect trying to steal firearms from store
A sporting goods employee that "feared for his life" shot a robbery suspect in the chest after he tried to use a hammer to smash glass, protecting firearms in the store, according to police.

Authorities said a 37-year-old man was shot Jan. 28 by an employee of the Yeager's Sporting Goods on Northwest Avenue. The suspect was using a hammer to smash the glass on a gun case with the intention of stealing several guns, authorities said.

Officers said the suspect was yelled at several times to stop breaking the glass when the employee pulled out his concealed firearm and shot the suspect once in the chest. The employee told police he was fearing for his life. Police found the suspect lying on the floor at about 11:15 a.m. with a gunshot wound to his chest.

He was being detained by store employees, while emergency crews took him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The employee at Yeager’s Sporting Goods did not sustain any injuries during the robbery, police said.
