Wallowing in the filth - Mitch McConnell

Now that he sees which way the wind is blowing, he follows right along.  Got to keep getting that glorious pork. From FOX News:

Schumer looking for 'power-sharing' agreement with Republicans after meeting with McConnell
Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., pushed in a meeting Tuesday for the Senate to adopt the 2001 power-sharing agreement utilized under then-Democratic leader Tom Daschle and Republican leader Trent Lott.

"Leader Schumer and Leader McConnell had a substantive meeting and made progress on the issues of quickly confirming President-elect Biden’s nominees and conducting a fair impeachment trial," a Schumer spokesperson said in a statement. "On an organizing resolution, Leader Schumer expressed that the fairest, most reasonable and easiest path forward is to adopt the 2001 bipartisan agreement without extraneous changes from either side."

Yeah - go along to get along.  Unfortunately, McConnell had the ability to negotiate from a position of power but he spread his legs for Chuck the Schmuck without even getting a nice dinner out of the deal.

The wonderful thing that has happened with all this is that now, the majority of people in the United States can see clearly just how venal and corrupt our government has become and how urgent the need for reformation. Sooner rather than later.

People whom we once considered reliable members of the Conservative cause have shown themselves to be cheap whores who sell themselves to the person promising the most power.  Now is the time to clean house and senate.
