Picked up some fresh pasta at the coop today - time to start a pot of sauce for dinner for the next couple of nights. Costco is carrying authentic San Marzano tomatoes - the flavor is incredible. Yes, they are a bit under $4 for a 28oz.can but absolutely worth every penny and over half the cost when you buy them from other stores. These are not San Marzano cultivars grown elsewhere, these are the S. M. cultivars grown in the San Marzano reigon of Italy. Rich volcanic soil, perfect climate. Perfect taste.
