A hell of a way to run a business - Instacart

I went out to get some groceries and a sheet of pressure-treated plywood.  Came home a few minutes ago to find six bags of groceries, two pallets of bottled water and about two dozen bottled "fruit" juices.  Some frozen foods, some refrigerated.  The local grocery store name was on the bags so I called them.  They offer grocery pickup but contract out through a company called Instacart for delivery. I got the Instacart customer service number.

Called them and they were totally unable to help.  The person I spoke with said that they had no way to contact the customer, no way to contact the driver.  The only way they can find out if there is a problem is if the buyer calls them.

This is about $150 worth of food I am talking about.  This is a very stupid and un-businesslike way to run a business. Zero customer service, zero error correction, zero way to learn from their experiences.  Wonder how long they will remain in business.

Quick search turns up these links:

The people doing the deliveries are probably nice but they made a honest mistake.  The corporation is stupidly run.
Just say no.
