There must be an interesting power struggle happening behind the scenes. They are trying to shift the responsibility for the Southern border fiasco over to Kamala Harris and she is having none of it. From the Washington Examiner:
Kamala Harris 'is not doing the border,' top aide says
A top aide to Vice President Kamala Harris tempered a White House announcement this week that she would oversee efforts to stem the flow of migrants at the southern border, a politically fraught task amid the growing crisis.
“The vice president is not doing the border,” Harris's senior adviser and chief spokeswoman Symone Sanders told reporters on Friday, adding that the vice president is strictly dealing with the root causes of migration.
So Harris will be dealing with the "root causes" - that term is certainly vague enough to encompass all sorts of nothing. Wonder who they will sucker in to take the fall for the disasterous conditions. There has to be a sacrificial lamb - this was handled so poorly that someone needs to take the blame. Can't be our *Resident after all...
