Did not sleep well last night - different place, different bed. Managed to not take a nap this afternoon so nice and sleepy - sleep in tomorrow and head down to this auction preview. Some good prices on this one (so far) - lots of tooling. Not picked over like the last one.
This is a an example of the screamin' deals - $10 for good solid bones. I would rip out all the control electronics, redo the bearings and leadscrews and run it off a PC running MACH4. Total investment of about $4K for a solid performer. New modern machines are in the $100K range so yes, a great deal. I would bid if I had the space for it now.
Lots of measurement stuff - guage blocks, calipers, mikes. Mitutoyo, Starrett, Brown and Sharpe. Good brands.
