Black Lives Matter was founded by Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza. They are both ardent Marxists and communists.

The co-founder of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, Patrisse Cullors, was the protégé of a communist-supporting domestic terrorist for over a decade, spending years training in political organizing and absorbing the radical Marxist-Leninist ideology which shaped her worldview.
Remember, Obama started his campaign in Ayers' living room and when pressed on this, claimed that Bill was just some guy "who lives in my neighborhood". Anyway, there is a video from 2015 in which Cullors says (from the New York Post):
“The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,” she said, referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza.
“We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk,”
Turns out that Alicia has a side-gig. She is the Principal at Black Futures Lab:

Fun website - professionally designed. Lots of words but very little meaning. Lots of feel-good handwaving but zero hard data. "We strive to empower" instead of "From August of 2019 through September of 2021, we did this, this and this".
All promises and no deliverables.
